WoW TBC Classic Anniversary Faces Inflation, Overtuned Heroics, And Loot Drama | Why Casual Players Feel Locked Out?

WoW TBC Classic Anniversary has launched raids, the most fun part of the first phase. You can feel your character's strength improving and gradually challenge these high-difficulty content with your guildmates.
However, this doesn't mean that everything in TBC is perfect right now. Some players are still dissatisfied with the current situation. This dissatisfaction stems from various aspects, including official items, dungeon difficulty, and game content, all of which require optimization from the development team.

WoW Tokens
Many casual players strongly desire the introduction of WoW Tokens because many items in the game are currently too valuable and highly competitive, making it impossible for them to obtain the items they want, and earning gold has also become extremely difficult.
Why Do Some Players Support WoW Tokens?
WoW Tokens are essentially a P2W transaction, which most players dislike. However, even without tokens, the game is already experiencing severe inflation.
Introducing WoW Tokens won't necessarily lead to inflation; the key is that player income must be commensurate with the value of items. If players can efficiently earn gold through legal means, then sellers earning more isn't a problem.
Additionally, some players believe that since the official stance isn't cracking down on botting, WoW Tokens become a necessary option. Casual players don't have time to nake gold, and using botting carries the risk of being banned, so they prefer the official, convenient, and secure gold acquisition channel.
On the other hand, before WoW TBC Anniversary launch, some players hoarded large amounts of WoW TBC Classic Anniversary gold, and these players are likely manipulating Auction House, causing an abnormal increase in item values. This results in players needing far more gold than planned to acquire potions and gems.
While some players certainly don't like WoW Tokens, for casual players wanting to keep up with others, it does solve their problems! If you need to save some money as a casual players, IGGM is giving away 60 Days of Game Time to 5 lucky players!
Heroic Dungeons
Many players complain that Heroic dungeons are too difficult. Only a few dungeons can be cleared with perfectly configured teams, and tanks, even with pre-raid best gear, are prone to dying.
These dungeons aren't inherently difficult, but their numerical design is poor, causing tanks to die unexpectedly in just a few hits. This slows down the pace of players entering raids. Players are forced to grind the most grueling heroic dungeons - Shattered Halls, Black Morass, and Arcatraz - for a few key pre-raid gear pieces, and wiping results in a long and painful corpse run.
In reality, clearing heroic dungeons isn't impossible; the key is using crowd control effectively and communicating with the group to ensure healers can keep you alive.
The problem is that many players, especially new ones, use the difficulty of heroic dungeons from Retail to judge The Burning Crusade. However, TBC heroic dungeons are currently the most difficult content in the game, even harder than raids.
While the developers have adjusted the game's difficulty, this adjustment is uneven. Heroic dungeons are at the pre-nerf difficulty, while raids are at the post-nerf difficulty.
This imbalance makes the game experience very strange. You can easily get top-tier epic gear in Karazhan, then go back to heroic dungeons and get wrecked. This is clearly unreasonable, and anyone making this decision probably hasn't even played WoW.
Player Skill Level
Player skill level is unrelated to the game content, but it's definitely a problem. The Burning Crusade is probably one of WoW's most famous expansions, and it's been released many times, so many players have experienced its content.
However, even during WoW TBC Anniversary, many players are still unfamiliar with the mechanics of heroic dungeons and raids. They only focus on DPS, unaware of positioning and boss aggro mechanics, often leading to wipes. After several wipes, players leave the group, eventually causing it to disband, wasting everyone's time.
Since the mechanics of TBC dungeons and raids are no longer a secret, it's recommended that all new players check out guides before entering raids and dungeons to understand the combat you'll be facing; this should be basic raid preparation.
Loot Distribution
The last big issue is about loot distribution. All good gear is now hard-reserve. In PUGs (Pick-Up Groups), if you're not the organizer, you almost never get to roll for good gear.
This is incredibly unfair to casual players. Those who aren't guild leaders, officers, or even members of a guild might have to wait up to a few months for a single piece of gear. They feel like they're giving away their time for free, working for guilds and PUGs. Even worse, now even mobs that drop items and crafting materials in heroic dungeons are being hard-reserved.
The ultimate solution is Personal Loot. Personal Loot can end the disputes over GDKP (Gold Dragon Kill Points) and gear. This mechanism has been introduced in WoW Retail servers, curbing the greed of group members, and it's also possible to make changes for TBC Anniversary.
These are the problems WoW TBC is facing. Some can be solved through official intervention, while others require player adjustments. Regardless, we hope you can enjoy the game.
