WARDOGS the Unstoppable Solo FOB Design That Completely Neutralizes Enemy Air Superiority: How to Build?

Shooter games like Wardogs typically feature a base where you can take a breather and organize your resources. What makes Wardogs unique, however, is that its Forward Operating Base (FOB) is an integral part of the combat itself.
In other words, FOB isn't a system isolated from the battle mechanics; it must be built and deployed mid-combat, meaning it is constantly at risk of enemy intrusion or even destruction.
Since Wardogs FOBs are deployed on the ground, protecting them from enemy airstrikes and suppression by attack helicopters is particularly challenging.
If you are struggling with how to handle this situation, don't worry, we've got a guide for you.

Construction materials and structural upgrades
When building a Wardogs FOB designed to withstand airstrikes, players often use standard Hesco walls, but these offer limited blast protection. The first step, therefore, is to replace them with double-layered Bremer walls.
Take C4 explosives as an example. If your FOB uses double-layered Bremer walls, an enemy would need to expend approximately eight C4 charges to breach the first layer and another four for the second. That represents a significant investment for any enemy force.
Building on this foundation, you can further upgrade your FOB's structure: add taller Bremer walls on the inner perimeter and raise the outer walls to a height of three layers.
Doing so virtually eliminates the possibility of enemy infantry tossing C4 into your FOB's core area. While they can still throw grenades, the threat level is drastically reduced.
We also recommend completely abandoning the use of doors. In Wardogs, doors are extremely vulnerable defensive components; a single C4 charge can destroy a door and potentially damage the surrounding structure as well.
Instead of doors, consider a fully enclosed maze design or a stepped-ascent layout for your base. By utilizing FOB's physical structure to create internal steps, you can maximize space and resource efficiency while simultaneously defending against attacks.
Steps for constructing an anti-air FOB
Once you have determined the materials and structural design, first locate a relatively flat area to place your Wardogs FOB core.
After unloading supplies, prioritize building frontal defenses, but remember to leave a temporary entry/exit point so you have cover against long-range enemy threats during construction.
Next, when placing Bremer walls, ensure they all face the same direction and extend along the outer perimeter, making sure there are no gaps between the wall sections.
Note that during construction, the game may indicate that certain wall nodes cannot be built due to terrain constraints.
Don't get hung up on this issue; simply skip that spot and place a tall wall section directly behind it, provided the final defensive height reaches three tiers.
Finally, once all internal structures are positioned, remember to seal the temporary gap you left earlier with the last Bremer wall.
You might be wondering: if it's completely sealed with no door, how do you get out? Don't worry, building an anti-air platform solves this problem! Plus, it is an essential step in constructing an anti-air FOB anyway.
Tips for deploying anti-air platforms and Talon 9K-SAMs
Constructing an elevated anti-air platform inside Wardogs FOB is actually quite simple. First, build a single platform unit inside the completed base, jump onto it, and then attach a second unit next to it.
Continue this pattern by adding four more units until you form a 2x3 grid (six units total) for the top-level array; you can then deploy Talon 9K-SAM there.
Talon 9K-SAM is essentially a reloadable, heat-seeking anti-air missile station; it can lock onto and destroy enemy helicopters and aircraft, and it converts FOB's ammunition supplies into missiles.

How should this FOB be used?
The primary purpose of this Wardogs FOB is to deter enemy aircraft and inflict continuous attrition on the enemy. When using this in actual combat, focus first on defense by utilizing the blast-proof blind spot formed between the underside of the anti-air platform and the adjacent wall corner.
Although the top platform offers a wide field of view, it can easily become a target for concentrated enemy fire.
If an enemy attack helicopter strafes the area or fires rockets, you should immediately jump off the platform and take cover in the narrow gap within the interior wall corner.
During combat, experienced enemy helicopter pilots will often deploy countermeasures and retreat quickly after taking damage. Instead of blindly pursuing them and wasting your ammunition, it is better to withdraw to cover and repair your gear.
If an enemy helicopter realizes it cannot destroy your Forward Operating Base from high altitude, it may switch to low-altitude strafing runs. Simply wait patiently for them to exhaust their ammunition or attempt to retreat before mounting the platform to engage them.
It is worth noting that you need not worry about damage to Talon; as long as you are within safe cover, you can repair it at any time using your hammer.
Weakness analysis
Generally, this WARDOGS FOB is sufficient to handle enemy aircraft within a 1-kilometer radius. However, it is not invincible and has a significant flaw: it is vulnerable to long-range sniper fire from enemy infantry.
If the enemy deploys ground infantry more than 300 meters away and fires precision rifles (such as M4), your position on the elevated anti-air platform makes you an easy target.
Fortunately, this weakness can be mitigated. In the late game, when you have ample cash, you can unlock higher-tier helmets and heavy armor from the shop to improve your resistance to long-range sniping.
In fact, using this FOB to shoot down enemy helicopters is a reliable source of cash. This means it not only helps you effectively counter air raids but also allows you to accumulate significant funds in the process.
That covers everything for this guide. Whether you are struggling to deal with air raids or lack a steady source of cash, building this FOB is a strategy well worth employing!
