  These affixes provide a steady boost to your Tribute base. As for map tiers, T16 maps are not strictly necessary; you can save them for your final few maps if you want to pursue a higher ceiling.

  Final Maps

  Because Head of the King operates under the chain rule of Rite of the Nameless - within a set of maps, the later maps grant higher Tribute, more rerolls, and greater reward bonuses - you should allocate low-value Tablets to the non-city maps early in the sequence and save your high-value Tablets for the concluding maps.

  The very last map in the sequence should be your best one. It needs to include high Pack Size modifiers, with ideal rolls being above 54% Pack Size and above 25% Monster Rarity.

  You can take a base map and combine it with three Omens - Omen of Chaotic Rarity, Omen of Chaotic Effectiveness, and Omen of Chaotic Monsters - then use a Chaos Orb alongside the map to roll for high Pack Size affixes, and further amplify them through corruption.

  Tablet Strategy

  Tablets for Early Phase

  Since your outer maps may not be city maps, you only need very basic Tablets at this stage - for instance, those with merely increased chance for Omens, while ignoring other affixes.

  The sole purpose here is to initiate the altar chain, so there is no need to invest currency into these. If you happen to have economical Tablets that boost Tribute or Omen chances, you may use them as well.

  Tablets for City Maps

  Once you move into city maps, employ the following configuration with 4 Tablets:

  • Freedom of Faith Ritual Tablet: grants 2 extra rerolls at the altar.
  • Reroll Tablet: provides additional reroll attempts within Ritual. Such Tablets often come with a notable cost.

  For the remaining two Tablets, aim to maximise Omen appearance rates and Tribute gains. You can choose affixes such as:

  • increased chance for Omens to appear
  • increased Tribute from monster sacrifices
  • reduced Tribute cost for rerolls
  • increased chance for Omens to appear

  Among these, the reduced reroll cost affix is particularly important, so ensure you have at least one instance of it.

  Boosting the chance for Omens not only increases the drop rate of high-tier Omens but also significantly raises the output of basic Omens. While their individual value may be modest, they accumulate steadily and help you recover your investment.

  Over-stacking reroll Tablets will drive up your costs considerably while offering only marginal gains in returns. Unless you are in urgent need of Mageblood and Headhunter, a single +3 reroll Tablet suffices.

  While this strategy yields good returns, it also comes with high costs.   Ritual Passives

  For Atlas passive tree, you only need to allocate the nodes at the very top that enhance the effects of Tablets. Ritual passive tree itself follows a relatively fixed allocation, with the key nodes as follows:

  • Traveller's Woe (Tainted): increases the chance for Mageblood and Headhunter to appear among the rewards.
  • Invigorated Sacrifices (Attrition): resurrected monsters at the altar gain increased toughness, but Tribute penalty is reduced by 50%.

  Masters of the Atlas

  In Runes of Aldur League, we strongly recommend choosing Jado as your master:

  • Unexpected Missions: adds random extra modifiers to your maps, indirectly increasing monster counts and Tribute sources.
  • Partial Translations: provides 40% increased effect of explicit Tablet modifiers. This has a tremendous impact on Ritual returns, significantly amplifying key effects such as additional rerolls and Tribute bonuses from your Tablets.

  Remember that Mageblood and Headhunter are the grand prizes of Ritual farming strategy, not your baseline income. On the runs when you do not roll them, focus on Omens, as they deliver steady and substantial profits.

  So how should we farm Grand Expedition in PoE 2 with an already increased gain? Can the gain be even greater?

  Grand Expedition Gameplay

  To start a Grand Expedition, you begin with Ruins of Kingsmarch. However, you need to complete a simple quest chain first. The quests will guide you through learning how to place Logbooks and how to navigate and explore the map.

  The areas marked with spiked vortex-like markers on the map are Grand Expeditions we should farm. Don't get confused, the circular blank markers you see are on regular, standard maps. Don't waste your farming time on these circular blank markers, as they won't give you any advantages.

  When you prepare to set sail, you'll see a small boat displaying Island Rumors, giving you a preview of the upcoming Grand Expedition content, such as whether a boss will appear. To actually start a Grand Expedition, you'll need to consume a Logbook.

  

  Grand Expedition Farming Strategy

  If you're new to PoE 2 endgame content, you can start with Ruins of Kingsmarch questline to gradually master the basics of Grand Expedition.

  Next, to maximize the benefits of your Grand Expedition, there are three things you should know and prepare in advance.

  First: Tablet Selection

  Our most crucial step is to acquire three Tablets that grant the map additional random affixes. The specific type of tablet is not important; whether it's a Delirium Tablet or any other type, we only need the extra random affix attribute, not the tablet's inherent league mechanism.

  The principle behind this is that the more map affixes, the richer the loot drops, including increased rewards from chests opened in Grand Expeditions.

  Ten is the maximum number of islands that can be used on a single Tablet, while a Logbook can typically only reveal about five islands. Therefore, one Tablet is sufficient to cover Grand Expedition requirements of two Logbooks. PoE 2 currency cost per Tablet is spread across three or four Grand Expeditions, making it highly cost-effective.

  Second: Logbook and Saga Selection

  A regular Logbook costs about one Divine Orb, but if you're aiming for maximum rewards, Aldur's Saga is highly recommended as it significantly improves the quality of loot drops in Grand Expeditions.

  When Divine Orbs are limited, you can choose a regular Saga, but the rewards will be more conservative.

  Third: Masters of the Atlas

  Of course, Jado is the preferred choice.

  I recommend completing Jado's Spycraft and unlocking passive skills that enhance Tablet effects, give runes a 10% chance to be rerolled an extra time while retaining the rarest result, increase the number of rare chests, and grant Corrupted Waystones additional random affixes.

  Results and Benefits

  An important finding is that the number of islands seems to be determined by the number of rumors. If you see three rumors, you can usually get four or five islands; if you only see one or two rumors, the number of islands will be significantly reduced.

  Therefore, if a Logbook has very few rumors, it's not worth investing in expensive PoE2 currency Sagas, as too few islands will severely limit your Grand Expedition earnings.

  Another point worth noting is that each Grand Expedition will always drop at least one Aldur's Saga or better. Your first Logbook might drop an Aldur's Saga, instantly recouping the cost of the next Logbook and turning all subsequent earnings into pure profit.

  Through testing, we found that using five Logbooks might result in three dropping Aldur's Saga, a fairly high drop rate.

  Furthermore, Divine Orbs you invest will be far less than Divine Orbs you receive from the final Grand Expedition. The net profit from five Logbooks can even exceed 300 Divine Orbs, and with more precise execution, this number could be even higher.

  High-Value Drops and Strategy Recommendations

  Rare chests are one of the core sources of profit in Path of Exile 2 Grand Expedition, so when you see Very Rare Unique or Rare Unique prompts in Grand Expedition, be sure to open them as soon as possible.

  These chests may yield equipment and items worth over a dozen Divine Orbs.

  The recommended strategy is to first explore all runes and click on them all, checking the reward options offered at each location. Select the most valuable ones first, then clear them out one by one.
