Murder Mystery 2 (2025 Christmas Update Overview) | New Lobby, Map, Battle Pass Rewards And Crafting

Hi players, Christmas is just around the corner again, and Murder Mystery 2 brings you 2025 Christmas update.

This is another major update, including new artifacts, new quests, and new items. Let's take a look at the important content this update brings.

Lobby

The game's lobby has been completely redesigned with a Christmas theme. It's a cozy and inviting winter snow scene with a central lodge.

Two new real-time leaderboards have been added outdoors, displaying the players who have collected the most Gifts and Tokens. Currently, some players are competing for the top spots. Indoors, there are elements such as a fireplace and a Gingerbread Man, which you can find on the first and second floors.

Additionally, the developers have hidden a secret room in the map every year. You need to find five snowmen and take their carrot noses. After placing the five carrots into the grooves on the secret door, the door will open.

The door closes after you enter the room, and the only way to leave is to reset your character or wait for someone outside to reopen the door. There's a box of coal in the room. There's also an Easter egg from Murder Mystery 2 Workshop Map.

Quests

The quests are located outdoors. You can find a skier NPC with a Quest sign pointing to him. Talk to him to accept the quest.

• Daily Quests: Refresh daily, maximum of 3 can be completed per day.
• Event Quests: Progress is accumulated by completing daily quests.

Completing Daily Quests earns Snow Tokens, with a maximum of 3 progress points accumulated per day. Event Quest rewards include:

• Common Penguin Weapon (15 progress points)
• Common Velvet Cake (30 progress points)
• Christmas Glow effect (45 progress points)

Battlepass

Interacting with the quest NPCs allows you to view the updated Battlepass, which contains a large number of Murder Mystery 2 items. Players with Mega Bundle unlock all levels immediately. Key rewards include:

• Level 1 Santa's Plushie: A free huggable toy, different from the 2024 version.
• Level 2 Stickers Knife: A snowball-themed knife with skier stickers.
• Level 3 Snow Key
• Level 4 Snowball Gun: A snowball-themed gun with a white muzzle.

• Level 6 Candle: A decorative light source that can be placed on the ground.

The final reward of the battle pass is Snowball Cannon, a uniquely designed gun with a transparent barrel that reveals the snowball. It features a new reload animation and sound effects, and there's a chance to obtain a Chroma Version each time you claim it.

New Map: Ski Village

The new map is a cozy, maze-like village with a frozen river that players can walk on, and there are "photos" of the development team inside the houses.

You'll also find a special Christmas tree adorned with decorative balls paying homage to the creators of the renowned Murder Mystery 2. Hidden tunnels connect the houses, allowing you to peek through holes in the ice. There's also a trap door and a secret passage.

You can also find a Jewelry Shop displaying items like crowns from MM2. In the map background, you'll see an area displaying Snowball Fight in progress. Snowball Fight is a 6v6 team battle mode where players use melee weapons for thrusting and throwing.

2025 Christmas Box

2025 Christmas Box contains skins for weapons from the battle pass. You can open it with a Snow Key, and you have a chance to obtain Godly Snow Dagger. It's small, easy to throw, and can be paired with Snowball Cannon to form a set. There's also a chance to obtain a Chroma version.

Crafting

Crafting mechanic returns in this update, allowing players to collect weapon skins of specific rarities to craft exclusive effects.

• All Common items can be crafted into Coal effect.
• All Uncommon items can be crafted into Bokeh effect.
• All Rare items can be crafted into Lights effect.
• Any Legendary Frost series knife can be crafted into Night Sky effect.

Gifting

Gifting 100 Gifts during this event will earn you an exclusive weapon. The 2025 reward, Ornament knife, can be paired with Bobble gun obtained last year to form a set.

Additionally, this year, artifacts obtained through gifting will only be available from the new Christmas chest, making the chance to obtain the high-value Snow Dagger and its Chroma version even more valuable. Artifacts obtained through gifting also have a chance to be Chroma version.
