Madden NFL 26 Fourth Title Update Brings Ultimate Team Season 2 And More Gameplay And Mode Changes

A month after its official release, Madden NFL 26 released its fourth title update (Update 1.007) on September 17th. This update, which addressed not only system optimizations but also nearly every aspect of the game, has garnered significant attention.
To help you adjust to the updated Madden 26 and avoid being caught off guard by existing mechanics or gameplay changes, we will provide a brief overview of key features.
Update 1.007 Overview
This update begins with the addition of three new European stadiums, providing more venue options for play, and all venues have been enhanced with improved visuals and audio.
Gameplay improvements center around Cover 2 and Cover 4 defensive schemes, allowing defenses to better target receivers in deep situations. Furthermore, the new Benkert's Dimes Offensive playbook, released in August, will continue to receive updates.
In terms of game modes, Franchise, Superstar, and Ultimate Team have all been optimized to varying degrees. More importantly, Ultimate Team has also launched Season 2, offering the chance to win more Madden 26 coins and new players.
Ultimate Team Changes And Season 2 Details
Compared to other content, Ultimate Team Season 2 is undoubtedly completely new. The season runs until October 21st, and during this time, you can earn new player cards and various tiers of field pass rewards by playing.

- Levels 13-23: S2 Uniform Pack, 150 Season Tickets, Rare Option Pack, 83 OVR BND S2 Fantasy Pack, Season 3 XP Token, 10,000 Coins and more.
- Levels 24-34: 230 Season Tickets, Rare Option Pack, 83 OVR BND S2 Fantasy Pack, 290 Season Tickets, 10,000 Coins and more.
- Levels 35-45: Epic Option Pack, 83 OVR BND S2 Fantasy Pack, 415 Season Tickets, 15,000 Coins and more.
As you can see, some of these rewards will also be helpful for playing Season 3, so don't miss out! Additionally, Update 1.007 includes updates and fixes to Ultimate Team gameplay itself:
- Fixed display bugs with available field pass icons and graphics, as well as other issues.
- Fixed bugs with the store and available packs.
- Fixed an issue where punters and kickers' OVRs were displayed too high when playing as quarterbacks.
- Fixed an issue where chemistry and strategy boosts were incorrectly displayed to ensure accurate lineup synergies.
- Improved substitution logic and lineup refresh behavior to prevent errors when managing rosters.
- Fixed an issue that occurred when multiple PC players simultaneously loaded a Squads cross-platform game session.
- Fixed a disconnection issue during the ready transition in H2H and Squads lobbies.
- Resolved desyncs in 6v6 and Sick Six modes.

Updates To Other Playable Modes
First, issues in Superstar mode where season stats were not accessed properly and selected gear would appear on the wrong uniform have been resolved. This update also includes adjustments to QB Combine drills.
Franchise mode improvements include the following:
- Removed Progressive Fatigue setting to prevent some players from playing in the wrong position.
- Fixed an issue with the nose tackle prototype's OVR formula causing it to appear different than in the front-end.
- Fixed an issue where importing and exporting draft classes incorrectly changed player body types (excluding draft classes already in the league).
- Fixed an issue where tight ends could gain the universal coverage zone ability. Resolved an issue where players with lower back strains were being treated as career-ending injuries.
- Fixed an issue where coaches and trainers unlocked abilities in the wrong order.
What Gameplay Updates Are Available?
These updates address player feedback in four areas: pass blocking, passing game, pass coverage, and running game.
Pass Blocking:
- Gives you more coaching options to set your default pass protection scheme.
- Fixed an issue where the pass protection adjustment menu would sometimes freeze after selecting a protection setting.
- Improved blocking logic to improve targeting and increase the effectiveness of shotgun fakes.
- Reduced the wait time after a failed pass rush.
- Enhanced quarterback containment logic to ensure your defenders are more effective at containing the opposing quarterback.
Pass Game:
- Increased the minimum distance for stemmed down routes from 1 to 3 yards.
- Fixed various player animation and cutscene bugs.
Pass Coverage:
- Added a new coach adjustment setting to set safeties to 16 yards deep.
- Updated hook depth, vertical hook zone logic, and press animation logic.
Run Game:
- Fixed an issue where the ball carrier would accelerate briefly when using Air Truck in open space.
- Fixed the issue where double runs were incorrectly marked as inside zone runs.
- Reduced the frequency of unforced dropouts on the run.
- Added a drop timer for defenders who lose their previous defensive action on a pass.
- Allowed your edge defenders to have more time to turn outside to set the edge on the run.
