Helldivers 2 & Warhammer 40K Castellan's Creed Legendary Warbond Finally Confirmed for August 12 Launch: New Weapons, Armor, and More

After nearly two months of teasers, anticipation, and community speculation, Helldivers 2 finally revealed on July 30 that Warhammer 40K Warbond is officially titled Castellan's Creed, alongside its launch date and a dedicated trailer.
We had previously speculated that Castellan's Creed Legendary Warbond would launch on July 30. Unfortunately, that day brought only a trailer; fortunately, the release date is now confirmed for August 12, so you won't have to wait long to experience it!
So, what exactly does this new crossover Warbond include, and how can you unlock it? We've got the answers for you!

How to unlock Warhammer 40K Warbond?
Upon launch, this Helldivers 2 Warbond will feature one primary weapon, one secondary weapon, two Stratagems, two sets of armor, and various cosmetic items and titles, spanning three pages in total. The two armor sets share a new passive ability.
Unlocking Castellan's Creed Warbond is expected to consume 1,500 Super Credits, with specific items on each page requiring additional Medals to unlock.
If you've depleted your Super Credits unlocking other content, earning that amount through gameplay in under two weeks might be difficult, which is where Helldivers 2 Super Credits for sale on IGGM become your best option!
Primary Weapon: R/40-K
A Hot-Shot Marksman Rifle, R/40-K features a black-and-purple color scheme and an exquisitely designed scope. It delivers impressive damage output at both long and short ranges and appears to offer exceptional firing accuracy.
This makes R/40-K highly adaptable to various combat environments and particularly effective at quickly eliminating powerful individual targets.
While specific stats haven't been released yet, we hope Helldivers 2 equips this weapon with strong armor-piercing capabilities to handle potential future Major Orders.
Secondary Weapon: P/40-K
This weapon is a Bolt Pistol, reportedly distinguished by its versatility and powerful stopping power. Judging by the trailer, P/40-K features a very substantial magazine, suggesting it possesses heavy armor-piercing capabilities, potentially even capable of one-shotting many low-level enemies.
Two New Stratagems
In Helldivers 2, Stratagems are a special type of gear that can serve as offensive weapons or provide various forms of support.
The first Stratagem introduced in Castellan's Creed Legendary Warbond is 40-K Meltagun. An offensive weapon, it fires an ultra-high-temperature thermal beam effective at close range, melting through enemies.
We anticipate this item will be highly effective against enemy vehicles; after all, extreme heat is far more efficient than standard bullets when it comes to destroying metal structures.
The second new Stratagem is G/40-K Meltamine. A proximity-triggered explosive mine, G/40-K is well-suited for individual use; upon detonation, it erupts upwards, dealing massive AoE damage.
The trailer shows this Stratagem capable of destroying a Hulk, one of the toughest Automaton units, in a single blast, making it a vital asset for future Helldivers 2 battles.
While G/40-K is devastating, it can also damage you if you are too close, so it is best deployed by throwing it ahead of time when encountering enemies at a distance.
New armor and passive ability
Warhammer 40K Warbond introduces TG-8 Sharpshooter (medium armor) and Demo-Trooper (heavy armor), allowing you to unlock and equip them based on specific combat needs.
Visually, these armor sets don't strictly adhere to the classic Warhammer 40K aesthetic, but they look cool and are certainly worth acquiring.
The new armor passive ability is called True Grit; it grants a +20 bonus to weapon handling and a 30% increase in support weapon reload speed.
Admittedly, these bonuses aren't particularly flashy, though this may be a design choice reflecting Warhammer 40K crossover elements.
New cosmetics and titles
Having covered the highlights, let's take a look at the cosmetics and player titles included in Helldivers 2 Castellan's Creed Legendary Warbond.
First up are Camo Cloak and City Fighter's Resolve, two brand-new cape and player card options. Both capes look fantastic, and they are definitely worth grabbing if you want to coordinate them with your player banners.
The new player title is Still Standing, but the item you'll likely be most interested in is the new Castellan's Green Pattern. While the trailer makes it look like a standard camouflage, it may well look even better once applied to vehicles in-game.
Other potential new gear
When Helldivers 2 launches a new Warbond, the in-game Superstore often introduces additional unlockable items. Although there is no specific news yet, we speculate that a piece of light armor, not included in Castellan's Creed Warbond itself, might be added.
Additionally, Helldivers 2 announced two days ago that the next campaign will be Permanent Enclosure; the new gear from Warhammer 40K Warbond could play a pivotal role in this campaign.
And if you can complete Permanent Enclosure campaign, you will be able to unlock the ultimate reward: KDM-500 Outrider Body Armor. It clearly belongs to the same set as KDM-500 Outrider introduced in the previous campaign, and further pieces may be added via future campaigns.
In short, whether you are interested in Warhammer 40K collaboration or simply aiming to complete more Helldivers 2 content, Castellan's Creed Warbond is something to look forward to. For now, your best bet is to keep playing and earning Super Credits and medals!
