Forza Horizon 6 Discover Japan Ranks and Gold Stamp Guide | These tips will allow you to unlock all content so quickly

Category: Forza Horizon 6 Posted: May 26, 2026 Views: 37

In the main storyline of Forza Horizon 6, Horizon Festival progression system requires you to collect wristbands to indicate your rank. As the most important side quest, Discover Japan series features a similar system.

The ultimate goal of Discover Japan series is to obtain the gold stamp, which is equivalent to the gold wristband in Horizon Festival. You need to accumulate a certain number of Discover Points to raise your level. Below are the methods for earning these points.

Forza Horizon 6 Discover Japan Ranks and Gold Stamp guide | These tips will allow you to unlock all content so quickly

Discover Japan Ranks

Discover Japan series also has 7 ranks like Horizon Festival, Here are the required Discover Points for each rank:

  • Visitor: 1,250 Points
  • Sightseer: 2,500 Points
  • Traveler: 5,000 Points
  • Pathfinder: 8,000 Points
  • Navigator: 12,000 Points
  • Adventurer: 16,000 Points
  • Master Explorer: 20,000 Points

As your rank rises, you will not only receive rare vehicles but also unlock exclusive properties with unique perks. Even after achieving the gold stamp, you can continue to accumulate points to optimize your progress, but no additional rewards tied to the stamp system will be unlocked.

How to Earn Discover Points?

Photography

Before each race begins, use the camera to take photos of all opponent vehicles. This will grant you points for both Horizon Festival and Discover Japan systems simultaneously, and the whole process takes only about five seconds.

If you wait until later in the game to remember to photograph all 621 vehicles, it will be a tedious and repetitive grind. However, if you develop the habit of taking photos before every race from the very beginning, you will find how quickly your progress accumulates. Similarly, whenever you come across landmarks or milestones worth photographing during free roam, feel free to take photos.

Mascots

Many mascots are scattered across the map, typically located on small paths not far from the roadside. Whether you are in free roam or driving between events, get into the habit of destroying them as you go. Although each mascot rewards only a small number of points (about 10), little by little they add up.

Treasure Cars and Barn Find Cars

There are many treasure cars and barn find vehicles scattered across the map. Once their locations are unlocked through specific paths in Discover Japan chapter, go and acquire them as soon as possible. You can search online or watch relevant videos (for example, on my channel) to get all the coordinates. After these vehicles are unlocked and added to your collection, they will directly boost your progress.

Drone mode can help you explore unknown areas. If you know the general area where a barn find is located, you can use drone mode to fly all over that area until you precisely locate it, and it will automatically be added to your map.

Additionally, areas on the map that you have not driven through will appear blurry or gray. You can use the drone to fly into those hard-to-reach nooks and crannies to add those areas to the map.

Houses

Acquiring a house itself contributes to your Discover Japan progress. Moreover, a mansion allows you to create your own custom events or download other players' mansion designs, which helps both gameplay and progression. After you have earned enough Forza Horizon 6 Credits, give priority to unlocking the following three houses:

  • Tokyo House
  • Hakusan Mountain Lodge
  • The Estate

Tokyo House provides a free wheel spin once per day, enabling you to unlock more vehicles. The advantage of The Estate is that you can unlock it for only 10,000 Credits, while the other properties demand far more Credits. Hakusan Mountain Lodge gives you an extra 10% bonus points in all Horizon Life events. Although this is not directly related to Discover Japan, as you progress through Discover Japan you will inevitably participate in Horizon Life; the extra points help you get your next vehicle or next top-tier tune faster.

Install Tunes

Upgrading vehicles also earns you Discover Japan points. The most convenient way is to download and install a tune from the creative hub. When you install a tune, all upgrade parts are applied to the vehicle at once, saving you from having to install them one by one manually.

This way, you skip the tedious manual upgrade process yet still receive all the point rewards. If you are already in the process of building meta cars and upgrading vehicles, this is one of the fastest ways to accumulate progress.

What's Next

The map size of FH6 is the largest in the series' history, with an enormous number of activities. Combined with the two parallel systems of Discover Japan and Horizon Life, it can easily become overwhelming. Therefore, use What's Next suggestion feature from the voice assistant Anna.

This feature has been optimized to show you the best activity currently available for earning the most points. Furthermore, the recommendations are localized: it will prioritize activities nearest to you on the map. If you want to complete many activities in a short time, simply follow Anna's suggestions, and it is advisable to use fast travel to move between different activities. While driving yourself can also unlock roads and photo opportunities, fast travel can save you a lot of time if you are seeking efficiency.

Races

Only street races and touge races award points toward Discover Japan progress. Road races, dirt races, and off-road races only contribute to wristband progress. Therefore, when you are focusing on the stamp, prioritize completing street races and touge races.

Your primary goal should be to win every race, rather than chasing the point bonus from higher difficulty settings. The progress points earned for a win are much higher than for finishing second or worse. Difficulty does not affect the points you get for a win. So choose the difficulty level at which you are most confident of winning.

Free Roam

Part of Discover Japan progress comes from discovering new roads and new areas. If you already enjoy driving around casually or drifting in free roam, then make a conscious effort each time to go to unexplored areas of the map. This will allow you to unlock new regions and also help you complete Barn Finds.

There are many ways to earn Discover Points, so obtaining the gold stamp in Forza Horizon 6 is not difficult. Even if you do not focus on collecting points, simply playing naturally will get you to the highest rank fairly quickly.
