Forza Horizon 6 typically launches a new Series, akin to a season, roughly every month. The latest, Series 5, runs from September 10 to October 8.

Series 5 cycle is divided into weekly phases representing the four seasons, each featuring a dedicated Festival Playlist. It also introduces new features and cars for you to unlock and enjoy.

If you want to create an efficient game plan for the month ahead to get the most out of FH6 Series 5, don't miss our overview!

Forza Horizon 6 Series 5 Brings Drift Attack Mode, New Festival Playlists & Cars, and More

All-new feature: Drift Attack

Among all the new content in Series 5, Drift Attack feature is arguably the most exciting and worth experiencing.

Unlike standard FH6 drifting, which relies simply on tire slip speed and angle, Drift Attack blends arcade-style action with professional drifting competition, testing your precision control while maintaining a level of technical rigor.

There are no limits on the number of participants or laps; you earn points simply by drifting on the track, and your leaderboard ranking is determined by your total score within a single lap.

Drift Attack introduces Clipping Zones along the track, elements not found in standard drifting modes. Passing through these zones while drifting grants you bonus points.

Drift Attack leaderboard lets you check your own rank as well as view the full in-game and team leaderboards. You can also compare data against specific records in a dedicated menu to continuously refine your drifting technique.

To experience Forza Horizon 6 Drift Attack, ensure you have unlocked the yellow Wristband in-game.

Beyond the satisfaction of climbing the leaderboards, Collection Journal features specific objectives; completing them earns you an exclusive racing suit, a helmet, and 1990 Jaguar XJ-S Forza Edition, a car designed to elevate your drifting experience!

Alternatively, you can find the standard 1990 Jaguar XJ-S at the autoshow, but it costs 90,000 FH6 credits to unlock. Participating in Drift Attack might be the better option by comparison.

Seasonal Festival Playlists

Each Forza Horizon 6 Series cycle is divided into weekly segments, with each week representing a specific season that features its own exclusive Festival Playlist.

Each playlist offers specific rewards, usually brand-new or returning cars. To earn them, you must complete daily and weekly challenges, alongside various other tasks such as Photo Challenges or Championships.

Series 5 kicks off with the Summer season (September 10-17) and concludes with Spring. Each Festival Playlist offers a total of 53 points and a specific progression reward (unlocked by earning 20 points within that playlist):

  • Summer: 2019 Ginetta G40 Junior
  • Autumn: 2015 Jaguar XKR-S GT
  • Winter: 2002 Lotus Esprit V8
  • Spring: 2006 Vauxhall Astra VXR

By completing all four seasons, the full Series 5 playlist lineup, you can earn 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed upon reaching a total of 80 points, and unlock 2019 Aston Martin Valhalla Concept Car by reaching 160 points.

More new items

In addition to the cars earned through new events and tasks, FH6 Series 5 introduces a variety of other items to the game.

Complete the JaguarSnap Photo Challenge in Week 1 and Seasonal Hide & Seek in Week 2 of Series 5 to earn new clothing items: Retro Racesuit and Classic Jacket.

During Week 2 (September 17-24), travel to Shimanoyama region for a chance to find Drift Tire Mascot collectible.

These mascots, featuring glasses and cute expressions, stand by the roadside; if you crash into them, their decorative parts scatter, and their expressions shift to a crying face.

Additionally, simply playing the game during Series 5 instantly unlocks Lionheart Player Badge, a fantastic memento to add to your collection!

What's new in Car Pass?

Forza Horizon 6 Series 5 Car Pass introduces a total of four new cars, which will be added to the game on a weekly basis:

  • 2025 McLaren W1 (Week 1)
  • 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 (Week 2)
  • 1998 Renault Sport Spider (Week 3)
  • 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe 'Luftauto 002' (Week 4)

If you own Deluxe or Premium Edition, or have unlocked Car Pass separately, these new cars will be automatically added to your garage upon release.

Beyond its superior performance, 2025 McLaren W1 features Paint Body (Advanced) options, allowing you to apply custom paint jobs to individual components and create a truly unique vehicle.

With its powerful engine, 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 is poised to push the boundaries of speed and acceleration, elevating your FH6 Drag Meet experience.

As for 1998 Renault Sport Spider, it prioritizes lightweight agility and fun, making it the perfect choice for casual drives or simply cruising around the map.

Finally, 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe 'Luftauto 002' is an off-road specialist. Equipped with high-end components, such as a rear roll cage and KW Competition coilovers, it is built to tackle rugged terrain with ease.

Best strategy for progressing through Series 5

As a content-rich update for Forza Horizon 6, Series 5 blends deep British automotive culture, permanent new gameplay features, and a lineup of highly desirable, top-tier cars.

To maximize your rewards while fully experiencing the new content, we recommend using the newly added lightweight sports cars to prioritize completing Drift Attack challenges.

Additionally, the free car rewards offered in the weekly Festival Playlist are not to be missed. They are easy to unlock and are likely to play a crucial role in future events.

That covers everything for this update. To ensure you don't miss any limited-time events during Series 5, we suggest creating a play schedule right away, it's a great way to boost your efficiency!
