  The mode also introduces an Emote Wheel, allowing players to assign up to eight different emotes for interacting with others throughout The Grounds or celebrating after matches.

  Mentors

  Three real-world football stars appear throughout The Grounds as Mentors, offering guidance to players:

  • Paulo Dybala
  • Chloe Kelly
  • Kylian Mbappé

  Their role is primarily to trigger cinematic sequences and unlock objectives. Simply approaching and speaking with them activates these events, and no deeper interaction is currently available.

  Not every player will enjoy this mode equally. Those who regularly have friends available to team up with are likely to find it much more rewarding. Even so, The Grounds introduces a refreshing alternative to Ultimate Team, giving players another enjoyable way to experience EA FC 27.

  It is impossible to abandon UT mode for the developers; it's the most mature gameplay mode in the EA FC series, and they've made some improvements to it in FIFA 27.
