• FC 27 Goalkeeper Glitch Sparks Outrage: How Ultimate Team's Own-Goal Bug Could Ruin Matches and Shake Up Transfer Market?

FC 27's Ultimate Team was supposed to be a fair competitive arena for players to build their teams and compete in Division Rivals, but the appearance of a goalkeeper glitch turned your own goalkeeper into the opponent's twelfth teammate.

When an AI-controlled goalkeeper scores an own goal, the outcome of a match, the distribution of ranking rewards, and even transfer market prices become unpredictable. Why is this bug called game-breaking, and how does it affect the entire competitive ecosystem and transfer market? Let's take a look.

  Goalkeeper's Own-Goal Bug

The trigger for this goalkeeper glitch is not complicated: after kickoff, the player switches to the forward player, dribbles towards the opponent's goal, and then passes the ball to the opposing goalkeeper - the AI-controlled goalkeeper will intentionally score an own goal.

The vulnerability has been confirmed in Ultimate Team mode on PlayStation 5 platform.

This isn't the first controversial issue since FUT 27's release. Previous bugs included a visual bug showing female soccer players celebrating in the locker room and on the field wearing only underwear, and a severe malfunction of the ground pass mechanism.

However, most of the previous bugs were visual or experiential, while this goalkeeper glitch directly undermines the fairness of the game - anyone who knows how to do it can steal victory at a very low cost.

  Impact on Fairness

This glitch is called game-breaking because it affects not just one mode, but almost all competitive modes. In Division Rivals, FUT Champions, and Draft, the opponent only needs one action to score, and the conceded team doesn't even have time to react.

Even more problematic is that such actions are technically difficult to classify as violations. The player simply makes a normal pass, but the AI goalkeeper reacts absurdly. Therefore, the official stance is that they cannot simply ban the accounts involved as easily as they would with cheat software - from an operational perspective, these players did not use third-party tools or modify game files.

History often repeats itself. FIFA 23 had a bug where goalkeepers frequently scored own goals; AI goalkeeper would inexplicably send harmless back passes and weak shots into their own net.

FC 24 also experienced a serious bug where goalkeepers could not be substituted after being sent off with a red card, leaving opponents with open penalty spots. The studio spent over a month fixing this with a Title Update. Each similar incident erodes players' trust in the developer's quality control capabilities.

The Chain Reaction of the Market Economy

One of the most direct impacts of this glitch is its impact on Ultimate Team transfer market. In FC 27, Elite Division upgrade reward for Division Rivals is a whopping 122,500 FC 27 coins. This means that many players who rapidly climbed ranks using glitch will receive a huge amount of coins on reward distribution days - coins that should not have entered the market. When a large influx of new coins enters the market, the supply and demand relationship will drastically change. The price of high-end player cards may rise in the short term due to increased purchasing power, but then the surge in supply will cause a price crash when players begin selling players from their existing rosters to upgrade.

Mid-tier meta FC 27 players, such as Salah and Karchaoui, are likely to see their prices correct as players' demand for upgrades decreases.

An unusually abundant supply of coins already existed in the market at the early stages of FIFA 27's release. If the extra coins caused by glitch flood in during Wednesday's reward distribution, market volatility will be even more pronounced.

For players who have invested real money or significant time in building their teams, the sense of loss from this uncertainty will be particularly strong. Some content creators, upon learning of glitch, immediately sold multiple FC 27 players from their rosters to mitigate risk - this panic selling will further exacerbate downward pressure on the market.

  Official Response and Lessons Learned

With the widespread dissemination of the goalkeeper glitch, the official social media account stated that they are investigating FUT Champions matchmaking issue and plan to release a fix before the weekend. However, this statement addresses matchmaking issues, not the goalkeeper bug itself.

Previously, in the closed beta feedback update, the developers stated they wouldn't rush into large-scale game balance adjustments in the early stages, hoping to allow the overall game experience time to stabilize. However, facing a game-breaking glitch that could directly determine the outcome of a match, simply maintaining the existing adjustment schedule is clearly insufficient to alleviate player concerns.

In the competitive gaming world, League of Legends' approach to overpowered heroes is often cited as a comparison: when a hero severely impacts balance, they are disabled until the bug is fixed.

Similarly, for a competitive football game, facing a serious bug that could directly influence the match result, the player community generally believes the developers should take more decisive measures - such as temporarily disabling matchmaking until the bug is fixed.

  Player Community Sentiments and Reflections

From goalkeeper anomalies to passing mechanic malfunctions, similar issues have repeatedly occurred in the FC series, with fixes often taking weeks or even months. For a game that releases at a high price every year and consistently generates micro transaction revenue through Ultimate Team mode, players have reason to expect higher quality standards.

When bugs can directly influence ranked match results, and even affect coin rewards and the player market, the value of competitive achievements inevitably becomes questionable. Perhaps the best attitude players should have towards this game is to return to the game itself: use their favorite players and enjoy the fun of football, rather than being dictated by wins and losses.

• FC 27 Pro Attacking Techniques Helping You Master the Match: How to Break Through Popular Defensive Tactics?

To earn more rewards for your account while enjoying the thrill of competitive virtual football in FC 27, mastering attacking techniques is essential, after all, scoring goals is the ultimate key to victory.

With changes to game mechanics and the meta, if you want to be a dominant attacker in FUT 27 and win matches more efficiently, don't miss these attacking tips tailored to the new mechanics!

How to counter 95+ Depth Defensive Tactics?

Your attacking prowess is truly tested when facing stubborn defensive setups. In FC 27, 95+ Depth is an incredibly aggressive and difficult-to-crack defensive tactic.

The challenge with this tactic lies in its high-pressing formation, which drastically compresses the space in your midfield and defensive zones.

However, there is a strategy to counter this aggressive style: combining Long Ball PlayStyle with a lofted through ball.

First, ensure your midfield includes at least one player with Long Ball or Long Ball PlayStyle+. If you don't have one, it's best to buy FC 27 coins to acquire one from the transfer market.

Next, trigger a run, sending your striker or winger behind the opponent's defensive line. While maintaining possession, observe the movement and release the ball just as the runner is about five meters past the last defender; a lofted through ball can pierce their high defensive line.

How to break down Low Block?

Low Block is another troublesome defensive tactic in FC 27; the key to countering it is maintaining patience while in possession.

Specifically, ease off the sprint button and control the ball calmly. Look for gaps in the defense, then suddenly shift the tempo and passing speed. If no opening appears immediately, try dropping back slightly to bait the opponent into exposing a weakness.

In short, while slow-paced attacks are easy to defend against, varying your passing rhythm creates opportunities.

Sometimes, simply passing the ball back and forth can also help open up the defense. A Driven Pass is often key to controlling the tempo; alternatively, using one-touch passing combined with movement forces the defense to scramble to keep up.

Additionally, while the feel of First-Time Passing has changed slightly, it remains highly effective, the key lies in timing it perfectly.

  What is Creative Run?

This attacking tip, sometimes referred to as a directional run, allows you to control a player's movement in a specific direction without needing the Player Lock feature, which can be cumbersome to use.

The first step is to trigger the run: hold L1 (or LB on Xbox) while pointing at the target player, then flick the right stick in the direction you want them to move to alter their path.

This technique is excellent for directing wingers to make inward runs (cutting inside), as simply triggering a standard run usually results in them making a straight forward dash.

Creative Runs allow for those subtle adjustments needed to cut inside. The same applies when calling a player short to receive a pass; true to its name, this feature adds creativity to your attack.

  Ball Roll Pass

This move allows you to adjust your angle with a ball roll before passing in FUT 27, thereby improving passing accuracy. It is particularly useful when there is no clear passing lane or the angle is tight.

To execute it, flick the right stick sideways to perform a ball roll before passing. Use this motion to fine-tune your body orientation and passing angle, avoiding any blocking defenders, before pressing the pass button.

  Left Stick Dribbling

In FC 27, left stick dribbling remains a potent weapon for shaking off defenders in tight spaces and orchestrating play from midfield, and it is not difficult to execute.

The only thing to keep in mind is to be as light as possible with the stick: use gentle touches and small movements to maintain the player's balance and center of gravity, allowing for quick changes of direction or immediate passes.

  Mastering Control Sprint

Control Sprint is a newly introduced mechanic in FIFA 27, effectively rendering the traditional linear Analog Sprint obsolete.

To execute this move, hold down R1 (or RB) while moving the left stick; this allows you to quickly cut into open space and drive forward, helping you create more room on the pitch and attack gaps in the defense.

Control Sprint is also highly effective in accelerating from a standing start. Alternatively, if you have your back to the goal, pressing R1 while pushing the left stick toward open space enables you to dribble with both high speed and excellent ball control.

Note that relying solely on Control Sprint can make movements feel stiff, so it is essential to coordinate it with left-stick inputs.

  Strafe Dribbling

Due to its movement style, Strafe Dribbling is sometimes jokingly referred to by players as crab walking. It allows you to maintain exceptional ball control while facing forward.

Like Control Sprint, Strafe Dribbling relies on left-stick input. Making slight lateral movements combined with subtle left-stick adjustments can leave your opponents disoriented.

When paired with Control Sprint, holding L1 provides precise ball control, while holding R1 allows for an instant burst into open space. This style of dribbling is ideal for situations where you are waiting for teammates to make runs or preparing to receive the ball while facing forward.

Additionally, if an opponent rushes at you, you can use Strafe Dribbling to shift sideways and quickly evade them.

It is also worth noting that if your FIFA 27 squad features short, explosive players, you can leverage Strafe Dribbling to achieve impressive acceleration.

  Effort Touch

Compared to the previous tips, the Effort Touch is not yet widely known or frequently used in FUT 27. This technique is executed the moment you receive the ball, by pressing both R1 and the right stick, and provides a significant speed boost.

The key to maximizing this move is directing the touch into open space. When the ball is directed into open space, you will see a fluid reception animation followed by a rapid burst of speed. The results will be even better if your players possess First Touch PlayStyle.

Those are the key FC 27 attacking tips covered here. You can combine them with your existing attacking tactics!

• FC 27 Season 2 Leaks & Predictions: Expected Dates and Key Features for All 4 Promos

According to the roadmap previously released in Launch Update, FUT 27 Season 2 will begin on October 22nd and run until December 3rd. Season 2 is expected to feature four promos: Ultimate Scream, UEFA Road to the Knockouts, Hall of FUT Unleashed, and Black Friday Thunderstruck, three of which have appeared in previous installments.

While the official dates and content for each event have not yet been announced, based on past event traditions and current information, we can still glean some insights into the main highlights of the four promos.

  Ultimate Scream: Halloween-themed Event

Ultimate Scream is a signature Halloween-themed event in FUT history, previously featured in the FIFA series and returning in FC 26. Based on leaked information and season updates, FC 27's Ultimate Scream is expected to launch on October 23rd, the second day of Season 2.

Regarding gameplay, early versions of FIFA used temporary attribute boosts during full moons or on specific dates, and later experimented with special mechanisms such as raising two player attributes to 90.

FC 26 employed a more unique design: players received permanent Role+ and Role++ upgrades during two full moon events, while one random attribute was temporarily boosted to 99 for 7 days.

Therefore, FC 27 is predicted to retain the concept of two-stage upgrades and temporary 99 attributes, but the specific dates, upgrade values, and character mechanics may still be adjusted.

In terms of player selection, it is expected to include current star players, players with obvious attribute weaknesses but useful after enhancements, and some Heroes; the player pool may be divided into Team 1 and Team 2, and will be paired with SBC, Objectives, and Evolutions.

From a squad value perspective, the most noteworthy players aren't simply those with high OVR, but rather those who can obtain a Role++ in a key position, possess multiple usable positions, or whose performance can be improved through temporary attribute enhancements. If the official design continues the approach of FC 26, some players who were originally weak in speed, shooting, or defense may become short-term hot commodities due to special mechanisms.

If you want to acquire these potential players in time, FC 27 coins for sale can help you quickly replenish resources, lock in your desired cards, and further enhance your squad strength.

UEFA RTTK: Dynamic Upgrade Cards Remain a Core Feature

UEFA Road to the Knockouts is the most suitable of the four events for analysis in conjunction with real-world football matches. This event first appeared in FIFA 22 and has continued in subsequent versions.

Looking back at past events, RTTK usually releases special player cards in batches, paired with player SBCs, limited-time objective missions, and other event rewards. Upgrade conditions may involve team wins, advancement to the knockout stage, or tournament rankings. Therefore, a player's initial attributes, team strength, and the UEFA schedule are all important factors in evaluating a card's potential.

FC 27's UEFA RTTK is expected to launch on November 6th. If the dynamic upgrade design continues this year, players can focus on players in UEFA who perform consistently, have good advancement prospects, and have useful initial card art.

For trading and investment, the appeal of RTTK lies in early acquisition of potential cards, but the uncertainty of team performance also means investment risk. Compared to blindly chasing popular players, a more prudent strategy is to consider the schedule, upgrade conditions, and market prices.

Hall of FUT Unleashed: The Future Development of a New Card Type

Hall of FUT Unleashed is a brand new event for FC 27. Unlike traditional promos, Hall of FUT's basic cards are obtained through FUT Gallery's token store, while special editions will be released during different campaigns throughout the year.

In conjunction with this mechanism, Hall of FUT Unleashed may serve to further expand the Hall of FUT card roster. On one hand, the official team may release enhanced versions of existing Hall of FUT players, improving their attributes and practical value; on the other hand, it may also provide players with more collection and team composition options by adding new players.

The core of FUT Gallery is completing collection sets, upgrading ratings, and earning Gallery Tokens, with the token shop updating rewards as the season progresses. Therefore, it's worth noting whether the launch of Unleashed will simultaneously adjust the supply of basic Hall of FUT cards in the shop, or introduce event-related collection rewards.

Overall, the focus of Hall of FUT Unleashed may be to expand the collectible value of Hall of FUT through special Campaign cards, while complementing the long-term progress of Gallery.

Black Friday Thunderstruck: Dynamic Upgrades and Black Friday Benefits

FUT 27's Black Friday Thunderstruck is expected to launch on November 27th, coinciding with the Black Friday period. Looking at past installments, Thunderstruck's biggest feature is the dynamic upgrade system for current players and icons.

FC 25's upgrade conditions involve the club's wins and goals in the upcoming league matches, with enhancements including OVR, PlayStyle, and Player Role. FC 26 further uses wins or draws, and goals as conditions, offering upgrades like PlayStyle and Role++.

Therefore, FC 27 is expected to continue the design of linking real-world league performance with special card enhancements.

For players, the highlight of this event is the potential roster changes brought about by special player cards. Popular stars, practical midfielders, powerful strikers, and defensive reinforcements are all worth paying attention to.

From a market perspective, Black Friday Thunderstruck's appeal lies mainly in the upgrade potential of dynamic cards and the concentrated release of special cards and bundles during the event. However, the promo launch does not mean all players will see price reductions; the final trend will depend on actual card supply and market demand.

Overall, the four promos for FC 27 Season 2 each have their own highlights, covering special attribute mechanics, dynamic tournament updates, new card types, and Black Friday benefits. Players can focus on the new card lineups, upgrade conditions, and market changes, but the specific details are subject to official announcements.

• FC 27 Future Stars Academy Evolution Explained: How to Choose Your Player and Build an 85 OVR Star?

Future Stars Academy Evolution in FC 27 Ultimate Team is now officially live, marking the game's first large-scale free evolution chain. Unlike previous Evolutions that required completing numerous tedious tasks to unlock, this time players simply need to press the RB/R1 button a few times on Evolution interface to find the dedicated Future Stars Academy tab, where all stages are displayed.

The entire system's interface design has been optimized, and the operation logic is much clearer than in previous years. This evolution chain targets CAM and ST players, divided into four stages, ultimately upgrading eligible young players to 85 OVR. Silver and bronze players also have the potential to become mainstays.

Future Stars Academy Evolution Entry Requirements

Regarding entry requirements, players must meet the following criteria:

  • Overall: Max. 80
  • Position: CAM, ST
  • Born After: October 9, 2003
  • Max PlayStyle: 7
  • Pace: Max. 86

This means that the available players are young, untapped attacking talents with ample room for growth.

This evolution chain is completely free and open until October 26th at 18:00 UTC. The deadline for completing all stages is November 2nd at 18:00 UTC. It's important to note that this Evolution is not repeatable; each club can only select one player to participate and cannot change them midway.

  Four Stage Path Explanation

Future Stars Academy Evolution consists of four stages. Each stage, in addition to providing basic upgrades, requires players to choose a path from several options. This means that even if two players choose the same player, the resulting cards may be completely different.

  Phase 1 (October 9th)

This phase's base upgrade directly raises the player's OVR to 81, while also providing comprehensive attribute improvements. The path selection is divided into three directions: Pace, Shooting, and Dribbling, each with an additional Weak Foot or Skill Moves upgrade.

Since Phase 1's upgrade raises any qualified player to 81 OVR, silver cards with 70 OVR and gold cards with 80 OVR will be on equal footing after this evolution.

  Phase 2 (October 11th)

The base upgrade includes raising OVR to 82, with a focus on upgrading shooting and dribbling attributes. The path selection also includes three directions: Playmaker, Powerhouse, and All-Rounder.

  Phase 3 (October 13th)

This phase's base upgrade only raises OVR to 83, with no shared attribute improvements. However, each selectable path (Rapid, Power Shot, or Technical PlayStyle) will provide corresponding attribute improvements.

  Phase 4 (October 16th)

OVR increases from 83 to 85, with the base upgrade providing improvements to shooting and physical attributes. The final path selection is: shooting with Low Driven Shot or passing and stat round-out.

Notably, FIFA 27 adds a complete evolution preview function. Players can add cards to the evolution chain, click the next phase option, and directly preview the final result of the entire chain before deciding whether to confirm. This feature significantly reduces the risk of selecting the wrong player.

  Player Selection Recommendations

Due to the entry requirements, a large number of young players have entered the selection range, many of whom are silver or even bronze cards. This is precisely the fun of this evolution chain - you can transform a card that is almost ignored into a starting-caliber player.

  Kendry Páez

He is Chelsea's 74 OVR CAM, possessing five-star Skill Moves and four-star Week Foot, with very solid basic attributes. After evolving, his ability to create chances and hold the ball in the attacking third will be outstanding, making him one of the most promising options in this Evolution.

  Antonio Nusa

He appears on multiple recommendation lists. As a CAM position choice, after the evolution bonus, he can become a key attacking player with both speed and shooting threat. Many players have high hopes for him, believing he could become a truly demon-level card.

  Cavan Sullivan

A young midfielder from MLS Philadelphia Union, with an overall TOTW card rating of 80, speed of 86, and a four-star weak foot. As a rising star in American soccer, his growth curve in this evolution chain is very promising, especially suitable for MLS lineups or the chemistry of the US national team.

Other options worth considering include: Eli Junior Kroupi, Konstantinos Karetsas, Orri Óskarsson, Kento Shiogai, Dastan Satpayev, Brajan Gruda, and other young players. For FC 27 players who enjoy using bronze or silver cards to start their campaigns, this evolution chain offers immense creative freedom.

  Market Opportunities Brought by Evolution

Since the entry requirements for this evolution chain cover a large number of silver and bronze cards, the silver card pack investment strategy becomes particularly noteworthy during this event.

If some young players become sought after in the market because they meet the entry requirements for Evolution, the price of their base cards may rise. Players can open silver card packs to find potential hot players and try to acquire cards with appreciation potential at a lower cost.

Even if you don't get a hot player, many silver cards are still base versions of young players and have some market value.

The logic of this strategy is that silver card packs are inexpensive, and the popularity of the evolution chain will drive demand for a group of specific players. Players can observe which young players' prices have risen significantly after the launch of Evolution and then target them with silver card packs. Of course, this method of making money requires a certain amount of patience and luck.

Meanwhile, the market for Future Stars Team 1 has already shown significant price fluctuations. For example, Vicky López's Future Stars card costs a whopping 5.7 million FC 27 coins (PlayStation), while some cards with an overall rating of around 85 range from 70,000 to 400,000 coins.

As Academy Evolution progresses and more players begin developing their own Future Stars, the prices of some basic cards may fluctuate further.

Future Stars Academy Evolution can be considered the most generous free content since FUT 27's launch. The developers clearly listened to community feedback that Evo shouldn't be too dominant and overwhelm other content, designing an evolution chain with reasonable upgrade levels, diverse path options, and great support for silver cards and low-rated players.

In short, whether you want to develop a favorite lower-league player or build a competitive attacking weapon in Ultimate Team, this evolution chain provides ample room for growth.

• Is Mixed-Gender Competition Ruining FC 27 Ultimate Team? The Flawed Math behind the Broken Meta

In recent years, even in sports like soccer and basketball, where male athletes have traditionally dominated the conversation, the profile and commercial value of female players have been steadily rising.

One of the most direct reflections of this trend was the inclusion of female players for the first time in FC 24, released in 2023.

Initially, this move attracted many fans of women's players and clubs to the game. However, as the series has evolved into FC 27, many feel that the mechanic of men and women competing on the same pitch is driving Ultimate Team mode toward disaster.

A prevailing view in the community is that women's competitions should be a separate mode; otherwise, the meta of FC 27 is compromised. Conversely, others argue that this perspective smacks of sexism.

So, what are the actual downsides of persisting with mixed-gender competition in Ultimate Team? Are there reliable ways to resolve these issues? We provide an in-depth analysis below.

What are the downsides of mixed-gender competition?

First, it is important to note that these issues primarily affect modes like FC 27 Ultimate Team, which prioritize competitive gameplay; modes like Career Mode and The Grounds remain largely unaffected.

Aside from SBCs, most Ultimate Team modes require you to face off against the AI or other players at varying paces. In these scenarios, attributes such as player models and agility form the foundation of the game's underlying algorithms.

Compared to their male counterparts, female players tend to be shorter and have a lower center of gravity. In specific situations, this allows FC 27 female player cards to deliver superior performance and handling.

However, this creates an imbalance for players accustomed to using male squads; for instance, a female forward might easily break through a defense, even when she is physically smaller and shorter than the male defenders marking her.

This not only disrupts the gaming experience but also impacts your in-game earnings and future player recruitment, especially given that Ultimate Team is a primary source for farming FC 27 coins.

The root cause of the issue

It would be a mistake to simply blame the poor experience of mixed-gender competition in FIFA 27 on the female players themselves. In reality, the issue stems primarily from the developers adopting a flawed method of player evaluation from the very beginning.

Fundamentally, there are physiological differences between the sexes; therefore, distinct metrics and match environments should be applied, much like how men's and women's competitions are kept separate in the real world.

Although FC series evaluates female players based on women's standards, it fails to make the necessary adjustments when placing them in mixed-gender matches. Instead, it directly equates them with male players who hold the same overall rating.

In other words, if a female FUT 27 player and a male player share identical card stats and ratings, the female player might still gain an extra advantage in a match due to inherent physiological differences.

Why has this issue come to a head in FC 27?

Questions regarding female players arose the moment they were introduced, largely due to the flawed underlying rating system.

However, the downsides of mixed-gender play were not immediately apparent; the novelty factor masked the issue, and imbalances in the meta were largely attributed to other causes.

With the release of FIFA 27, particularly in the high-level competitive environment of Ultimate Team, players are increasingly prioritizing maximum efficiency. Once a specific type of card is proven to be part of the meta, using it becomes mandatory for anyone aiming to win.

Female players, leveraging advantages derived from anomalous stat calculations, have become a dominant force in the attacking meta of this title.

This creates not only an imbalance in squad composition and gameplay experience but also fosters resentment among competitive players who have no interest in women's football.

How can this issue be resolved?

Given the rising global popularity of women's sports, alongside social and political considerations, it is highly unlikely that female players will be removed from FIFA 27 or future installments.

However, if the game were to follow the suggestion of some players, segregating women's football into a separate mode or standalone game, many players might simply ignore it altogether, as the overall popularity of women's competitions still trails that of men's.

While it is uncertain whether FIFA developers will address this issue and the resulting controversy, we believe that any potential improvements could focus on the following areas.

  Refining match algorithms

To prevent absurd scenarios in FUT 27 matches, such as a small female player physically barging past a large male player, the development team needs to overhaul how attributes are balanced between genders.

This should be done while maintaining gender-specific evaluation standards that reflect the unique characteristics of male and female players.

For instance, the system could allow female players to retain their natural advantages while realistically reflecting the physiological limitations they face when competing against men.

  Offering matchmaking preferences

Even if FC titles will not introduce a separate mode for female players, which could spark further debate, Ultimate Team matchmaking system could offer different criteria.

Players who enjoy using female players, or who do not mind mixed-gender competition, could simply use the standard matchmaking settings.

Conversely, those who prefer otherwise could opt out of mixed matches and enter a matchmaking pool restricted to either male or female players.

  Conclusion

While a small minority may harbor negative attitudes toward women's football, we believe that the majority of players raising concerns about mixed-gender competition are simply seeking a better overall gaming experience.

Therefore, the development team should seriously consider player feedback and implement improvements promptly. They should ensure that the rising trending of women's football does not face unnecessary backlash within FIFA gaming community.

• FC 27 Future Stars Team 1 Leaks | New Live Promo and UT Duplication Bug

FC 27 Future Stars Team 1 will be released on Friday, October 9. This may come as a surprise to many players, as this promo usually starts in late January or early February in previous years.

However, as usual, the Future Stars Team 1 lineup has already been leaked. There are 15 players in the current leak, although it is still unclear whether this is the complete lineup. Let's take a look at the leaked information.

FC 27 Future Stars Team 1 Leaks

The Future Stars promo does not focus on the young players with the highest current ability. Instead, it features young stars with the greatest potential. They represent the future of football and are likely to become key players for their teams within the next one or two years.

Here is the leaked player list. The ratings and stats are not confirmed and are based on the leaker's predictions, but the players included in the promo are expected to be accurate:

  • 90 OVR Vicky López RW
  • 89 OVR Rio Ngumoha LM
  • 88 OVR Myles Lewis-Skelly LB
  • 88 OVR Mika Godts LW
  • 87 OVR Jacobo Ramón CB
  • 87 OVR Gilberto Mora CAM
  • 87 OVR Yoan Bonny ST
  • 86 OVR Tom Bischof CM
  • 86 OVR Lily Yohannes CM
  • 86 OVR Lewis Hall LB
  • 85 OVR Laura Blindkilde Brown CDM
  • 85 OVR Robin Risser GK
  • 85 OVR Josh King CAM
  • 85 OVR Julian Hall ST
  • 85 OVR Jon Martín CB

Unlike previous years, FIFA 27 Future Stars is a Live Promo, meaning selected players can receive upgrades based on their real-life performances.

The currently leaked upgrade system is roughly as follows:

  Midfielders, excluding CDMs, and forwards

  1. 4 starts: +1 OVR, up to 86
  2. 8 starts: +1 OVR, up to 87
  3. 7 goals and assists: Gain one PlayStyle+ (maximum of one) and +1 base PS
  4. 10 goals/assists: Gain 5-Star Weak Foot. If the player already has 5-Star Weak Foot, it will instead become 5-Star Skill Moves.

  Goalkeepers, CBs, and CDMs

  1. 4 starts: +1 OVR, up to 86
  2. 8 starts: +1 OVR, up to 87
  3. 4 clean sheets: Gain one PlayStyle+ (maximum of one) and +1 base PS
  4. 7 clean sheets: Gain 5-Star Weak Foot. If the player already has 5-Star Weak Foot, it will instead become 5-Star Skill Moves.

Some players will have lower upgrade requirements, and the upgrades are expected to officially take effect in February 2026. At that point, cards that meet the requirements will automatically receive the corresponding stat upgrades.

Why Was Future Stars Promo Moved Forward?

Before FC 27 was released, the official team clearly stated that it would slow down the rate of player-card power inflation to prevent cards from becoming too powerful too quickly.

Around five weeks of smaller promos were removed to reduce the oversaturation of card types. The official team plans to focus resources on major events, such as extending the cycle of major promos like Future Stars and giving each season a clear central theme.

As early as August 2026, leaks suggested that the promo schedule would be adjusted. The first four promos were reportedly planned as follows:

  • Season 1: Future Stars
  • Season 2: Ultimate Scream and FUT Hall of Fame
  • Season 3: Winter Wildcards
  • Season 4: Team of the Year (TOTY)

This leak now appears highly likely to be accurate, as the official team has indeed restructured the seasonal schedule. Traditionally, Future Stars is released after TOTY in February. This year, however, it has been moved forward and made the headline promo of Season 1, launching on October 9.

The Impact Of FUT Duplication Bug

Recently, players reported on the official forums that they encountered unexpected duplicate cards in Ultimate Team.

Some PC players discovered additional cards in their item storage after relisting expired items. These cards had First Owner status, even though they were actually players that had previously been acquired by the players.

One reporter claimed to have found at least 20 suspected duplicate cards, and these cards could be seen in the game, Web App, and Companion App.

The bug has reportedly existed for several days. Cards placed on the Transfer List can be returned every hour, and even cards that have already been sold can come back.

These returned cards can be traded and are also marked as First Owner, but they do not count toward First Owner status in FUT Gallery. In effect, selling one card could generate FIFA 27 coins twice.

This is undoubtedly a very serious bug, and many players may trigger it intentionally or unintentionally, especially since the exact cause of the issue is still unknown.

The official team has not yet provided a specific fix date, and the issue may remain unresolved until Future Stars Team 1 is released.

The bug has caused rare cards to flood the market, with large numbers of First Owner cards entering circulation. Supply has exceeded demand, pushing card values down. Many high-value cards could be affected.

This could hurt both Transfer List traders and Weekend League squad builders. Ahead of Future Stars Team 1, many players have already been selling off their squads to raise coins because they want to target top cards such as Vicky López.

The game's Terms and Conditions state that intentionally exploiting game bugs may result in a ban. Many players are now acquiring hundreds of cards and placing them on the Transfer List in hopes of benefiting from the exploit. This could not only disrupt the market, but the official team may also take action against these players.

It is still unclear how severe the bans will be. If the official team chooses to issue bans on a large scale, it could hurt player engagement. However, if enforcement is too lenient, players who have already benefited from the exploit could gain a significant advantage over legitimate players.

Future Stars Team 1 will be released on Friday, and some players may consider using the exploit to stockpile coins, but this is a risky move. Investing in fodder cards or using Champions League-related investments can also generate a large number of coins.
