EA FC 26 Knockout Royalty Promo Team 1 Leaks | The New Upgrade System That Could Make Your Cards Insane!
Category: FC 26 Posted: Feb 11, 2026 Views: 3293
Following Future Stars, the new FC 26 promotion, Knockout Royalty, is coming soon! While this almost non-stop schedule might feel tiring, it also means more options for upgrading your team.
Like most FUT 26 promos, Knockout Royalty will release multiple teams in batches. You'll need to earn card packs or use other methods to unlock new cards within a specified period.
So, what player cards will this promo offer, and how do you unlock them? We'll explain.

What is Knockout Royalty?
This promotion is primarily designed to recognize players who have performed exceptionally well in competitions such as Champions League, Women's Champions League, Europa League, and National Conference League.
Afterwards, Knockout Royalty cards will replace these players' regular cards, and you can upgrade these new cards based on the players' performance in real matches.
Knockout Royalty schedule
Knockout Royalty promotion will launch on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 6 PM GMT and run until February 27, for a total of two weeks.
During this period, Team 1 and Icons and Heroes Team 1 will be released first, appearing in various card packs and the transfer market during the first week, from the 13th to the 20th.
After the card collection for these two teams is complete, Team 2 and Icons and Heroes Team 2 will be released immediately and will continue until the entire Knockout Royalty collection ends.
Starting lineups
Leaking specific lineups before the event starts is commonplace in FC 26. While information on the two teams for Knockout Royalty's second week is still unavailable, the lineups for Team 1 and Icons and Heroes Team 1 have been predicted:
Team 1:
- CB - Micky van de Ven
- CAM - Antoine Griezmann
- LW - Vinícius Júnior
- ST - Kai Havertz
Icons and Heroes Team 1:
- CDM - Dunga
- CM - Andrés Iniesta
- CAM - Gheorghe Hagi
- ST - Mia Hamm
Compared to Future Stars, Knockout Royalty offers fewer player card options, but this also means a higher chance of drawing your favorite Knockout Royalty player cards when opening packs.
How to obtain Knockout Royalty cards?
These cards will appear in all packs, including free packs, just like most promo cards. You can obtain packs by playing the game or trading in the shop; generally, opening packs containing more cards increases your chances of getting the desired card.
Completing specific SBCs and objectives will earn you card packs. This is usually not difficult if your club squad is sufficiently large and you have mastered the basic game skills. Furthermore, they may reward you with special items during Knockout Royalty promo.
If you already have all Future Stars cards you want or haven't participated in this promo, we recommend saving all the card packs you've earned through gameplay until Knockout Royalty begins.
Alternatively, if you're tired of gambling with card packs, you can buy FC 26 coins and directly acquire your desired Knockout Royalty player cards through trading in the transfer market.
How to upgrade these cards?
Knockout Royalty player cards start with higher ratings and attributes, and you can perform initial upgrades for them by meeting specific conditions.
In addition, as each real match progresses, players will receive further bonuses if their clubs achieve the following results in the following matches:
UEFA Men's Champions League / UEFA Europa League / UEFA Conference League:
- Win/draw Round of 16 game: +1 OVR
- Qualify for Quarter Finals: +1 OVR, +1 Role++
- Qualify for Semi Finals game: +1 OVR, +1 SM or WF
- Qualify for the Final: +1 PS+ (+2 PS+ if the player only has 1 PS+)
- Win the Final: +1 OVR or 96 OVR, 5-star SM or 5-star WF
UEFA Women's Champions League:
- Win/draw 1st Quarter Finals game: +1 OVR
- Qualify for Semi Finals: +1 OVR, +1 SM or WF
- Qualify for the Final: +1 PS+ (+2 PS+ if the player only has 1 PS+) (Player only has 1 PS+)
- Win the Final: +1 OVR or 96 OVR, 5 stars SM or 5 stars WF
All upgrades based on the first match refer to the result of the first match played by the player's team after the card is released. If the card is released after the first knockout match, the upgrade result depends on the next knockout match.
Furthermore, these upgrades depend on the player's club's progress in the competition. Even if the player does not participate in the match for any reason, the team can still upgrade the player's Knockout Royalty card if they meet the requirements.
However, it should be noted that if a player leaves their previous club in the real world due to a transfer after Knockout Royalty begins, their card will not receive any subsequent upgrades.
Why participate in Knockout Royalty?
As the latest limited-time promo for FIFA 26, launching in early 2026, Knockout Royalty not only brings you new cards with high attributes and ratings but also creates tension through a unique upgrade system.
This event is closely linked to real-world football matches, meaning the fusion of sports and virtual football gaming has been elevated to an unprecedented level through Knockout Royalty.
This will not only help attract more football fans to FC 26 but also provide a unique experience for users who are both football fans and gamers.
That's all the information we can currently provide about EA FC 26 Knockout Royalty. All you can do now is save up your card packs and open them all at once when the promo starts! Good luck!
