As development of EA Sports FC 27 enters its final stages, more and more internal testing information and leaks are surfacing. From the highly anticipated open-world mode, The Grounds, to Asian Cup licensing, the return of Mexican league, and the return of Camp Nou stadium and legendary players, FC 27 seems to be brewing its biggest series overhaul in recent years.

Compared to past iterations focused primarily on updating match content, FC 27 aims to attract players back with a completely new immersive football experience. While most content is still in the leak and testing phase, the available information suggests that EA FC 27 has shown greater ambition than its predecessors.EA FC 27 Biggest Leaks Yet: The Grounds, New Icons, Camp Nou & Asian Cup

If this new content is successfully implemented, it could become the most groundbreaking title in EA FC series. Whether you're a veteran player seeking Ultimate Team strategy or a newcomer to FC series' virtual football scene, EA FC 27 is full of exciting surprises and possibilities.

New Licensed Content

Regarding licensed content, EA FC 27 is expected to see its most significant expansion in recent years.

Firstly, at the national team level, EA Sports has reached a cooperation agreement with Asian Cup. According to current leaks, all qualified Asian national teams are expected to appear in FC 27, including even North Korea. For players who enjoy national team matches and international tournaments, the addition of Asian Cup will undoubtedly further enrich the content of FIFA 27.

There's also good news regarding league licensing. Mexican league, absent for many years, is expected to officially return in FUT 27. Relevant clubs have already begun providing EA Sports with official badges, jerseys, and other licensed resources. If the news is true, you will once again be able to usefully licensed Mexican league teams in FC 27, one of the most requested license returns by players.

Besides tournament and league licensing, stadium licensing is also expected to see a breakthrough. Spotify Camp Nou, the home stadium of Barcelona, is expected to officially return in FUT 27, marking its first appearance in EA FC series since FIFA 16.

Meanwhile, a new cooperation agreement between EA and La Liga is also expected to bring more real stadiums into the game. With the expansion of the licensing scope, the immersion and realism of your La Liga matches will be significantly enhanced.

The roster of legendary players is also expected to expand. Current testing information indicates that Brazilian legend Rivaldo and Argentine striker Mario Kempes are undergoing internal evaluation and are likely to join FC 27 as new icons, bringing more options to Ultimate Team mode.

Visual Upgrades

Furthermore, the jersey designs for major clubs in EA Sports FC 27 have been gradually revealed. New home and away jerseys for Arsenal, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona,  Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Manchester United are expected to be unveiled simultaneously with the release of FC 27, bringing you the latest visual experience and immersion.

EA FC 27's card pack animations have been completely revamped. While this may seem like just a visual upgrade, it's a significant improvement for Ultimate Team mode, which revolves around the card pack opening mechanism.

According to FUT 27 currently available information, the new card pack opening animation will begin with a drone's perspective above the stadium. Then, three large drones, accompanied by lights and music, flew toward the center of the stadium. The drone on the left displayed the player's nationality, and the drone on the right displayed their league.

Next, hundreds of smaller drones converged in the night sky, gradually forming the player's position, creating a strong sense of ceremony for the reveal. Finally, the camera switched to the stadium's VIP area, where FC 27 player walked out of the tunnel and into the spotlight, completing the card reveal.

The entire process was more layered and cinematic, a clear departure from the relatively monotonous tunnel-themed card-opening animations of recent years. Players have long complained about the overly repetitive card-opening animations, and FC 27's new animation clearly aims to reignite the anticipation and surprise of opening cards.

Even if the last player isn't a top star, the entire reveal process itself will be more visually appealing and immersive, making each card opening feel like an anticipated ritual.

The Grounds

EA FC 27 introduces the series' most innovative gameplay - The Grounds. This open-world mode is not simply about exploring space, but a completely new way to extend the football experience beyond the game itself.

You can create your character and freely explore the city, completing various missions and challenges. More importantly, the rewards and FC 27 Coins earned in the open world can help you in Pro Clubs and Ultimate Team, directly affecting the core gameplay experience of FIFA 27.

Previously, reports indicated that The Grounds might not launch until FC 28, leading to speculation that EA wanted to offer some extra highlights at FC 27 launch to compete with other major games releasing that month. Whatever the reason, this feature is undoubtedly a major innovation for FC series.

Notably, Alex Hunter, the protagonist of The Journey, will also return in The Grounds. It's been about seven years since he last appeared in FIFA, and his specific role is still not entirely clear.

Reports suggest he might appear as an NPC - running a training base or working at a cashier - and most excitingly, he might become an unlockable character, usable in Career Mode or Ultimate Team.

The return of classic story characters allows you to relive FIFA experience while freely exploring. This not only enriches the gameplay of FUT 27 but also lays the foundation for the long-term development of FC series.

FC 27 is attempting to drive series innovation through open-world gameplay, more licensed content, and a richer progression system. If these new features are fully polished before its official release, EA FC 27 may have the potential to become one of the most transformative football games in recent years.
