Diablo 4 players, the official collaboration for Season 15 was announced at Gamescom 2026. Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is coming to Sanctuary.

The last time Diablo 4 collaborated with another company's IP was Berserk in May 2025. The official team has not revealed much about this collaboration, stating that more details will be announced at BlizzCon.

Battle.net

Players will be able to acquire The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt directly through the platform. The game will include its two major expansions as a bundle, while the expansions can also be pre-ordered separately.

To celebrate The Witcher arriving on Battle.net, the development team is bringing a corner of The Continent into Sanctuary. Players who pre-order or acquire the expansion will receive a Geralt-themed skin in Diablo IV, which is currently being carefully developed.

Collaboration

If you pre-order or later acquire the upcoming The Witcher 3 expansion, you will receive a Witcher-themed skin. The exact appearance of the skin has not yet been revealed, but it is speculated that its style could resemble some of the crossover cosmetics already seen in Diablo IV. More details will be unveiled at BlizzCon.

It is worth noting that Remastered version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will officially launch on September 29, shortly after Diablo 4 Season 15 goes live. This means players should be able to receive plenty of first-hand information about the season and the collaboration at BlizzCon.

Crossover Skins

Diablo 4 Season 15 Crossover Skins

Based on previous collaborations, crossover skins are usually class-specific rather than automatically available to every class. One of the clearest examples is 2025 Diablo 4 × Berserk collaboration.

Diablo 4 currently has seven classes, while The Witcher features seven main Witcher schools:

  • School of the Wolf
  • School of the Cat
  • School of the Griffin
  • School of the Bear
  • School of the Viper
  • School of the Manticore
  • School of the Fox

One possible approach would be to assign one school to each class. However, not all seven schools appear in The Witcher 3. In addition, when it comes to the outfits associated with the different Witcher schools, they are somewhat too plain compared with many of Diablo 4's other cosmetics.

Another possibility would be to offer appearances based on Ciri, Yennefer, Triss, Dandelion, and Wild Hunt. However, this would leave some classes without a corresponding appearance.

Considering that Wild Hunt's aesthetic fits Diablo 4's style much better, I believe the official team will most likely adopt the second approach.

The Witcher 3 and Challenge Dungeons

Although the collaboration announcement is already exciting enough, there is still plenty of unknown content waiting to be revealed at BlizzCon.

At present, players know almost nothing about the theme and specific content of Diablo 4 Season 15. Although some Challenge Dungeons and Socketable Items were previewed during testing, the overall amount of information remains very limited.

Players who have experienced The Witcher 3 will certainly remember exploring its dark and gloomy dungeons. If Diablo 4 decides to pursue a deeper collaboration with The Witcher 3, the Challenge Dungeons could very well be connected to the crossover.

During the PTR, the official team did not reveal much information about Challenge Dungeons. Perhaps players will face Witcher-themed boss encounters inside them. If that turns out to be the case, it would be a very cool fusion of mechanics, allowing players to directly interact with elements from another classic franchise.

Challenge Dungeons

Based on the PTR experience, these Challenge Dungeons can randomly appear in different areas of Sanctuary. Some players noticed that a large number of dungeon entrances appeared in Helltide areas.

In addition, some dungeons can appear directly when players turn in Whisper Caches. A portal will open beside the player, allowing them to enter Challenge Dungeon directly.

The official team clearly stated that Challenge Dungeons on the PTR were designed as an environment for testing underlying systems, while the final experience in Season 15 will contain substantially different content. Therefore, we still do not know exactly what this season will ultimately bring.

Challenge Dungeon Difficulty

The entrance portals to Challenge Dungeons appear in the Overland. This means you can only encounter them while traveling through Sanctuary, and they will not trigger while participating in activities such as The Pit or the Undercity. In this respect, the system is somewhat similar to the way Geralt encounters contracts.

Once inside the dungeon, your objective is to fight a boss. The bosses seen on the PTR may only be placeholders, while the actual bosses could be enemies from The Witcher 3. It could be the Wild Hunt, or perhaps Dettlaff.

The core of this system is the Tournament Difficulties system. You can freely select the challenge level for the encounter, with the highest option increasing the difficulty by up to three additional Torment Tiers beyond your current World Tier.

Although it is still unclear exactly how the difficulty levels displayed in-game correspond to the descriptions in the official announcement, one thing is clear: increasing the difficulty will allow bosses to drop more and better Diablo 4 items.

Based on the information currently available and the PTR layout, the difficulty scaling appears to vary, with Torment 12 roughly corresponding to The Pit 100.

The actual strength of Torment 15 may not necessarily exceed The Pit 130 or 135. Even so, it should still be a challenge for most casual players.

Diablo 4 Season 15 collaboration with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is likely to have plenty of surprises in store. Hopefully, it will not feel as underwhelming as the Berserk collaboration. More details will be revealed at BlizzCon.

If you want to challenge Torment 15 difficulty in Diablo 4 Season 15, you'll need high-item-level gear with useful affixes. You can buy Diablo 4 items at IGGM.com to upgrade your character.

Besides high gear requirements, you also need to ensure your build is powerful enough. After all, not every build can easily reach 130 The Pit or higher. The easiest way is to use meta builds for each class, rather than niche builds.
