Before the official 2026 BlizzCon reveal of the surprise content coming to Diablo 4 Season 15, there were already some mechanics in PTR that players had overlooked, including Mythic Charms.
Mythic charms existed briefly but were quickly removed, and they will officially debut in Season 15. They are very rare, difficult to obtain through farming, and may not have a significant impact on ordinary players. However, if you are aiming for top damage, they can significantly improve your build strength.

Mythic Charms Mechanic
The essence of Mythic Charms is to upgrade existing Unique Charms to Mythic quality, increasing their Unique Power by 30%. For example, a Charm that originally provides 120 stacks would provide 150 stacks after being upgraded.
Seal system offers three configuration options that determine how many Unique Charms you can equip, which in turn affects the final value of Mythic Charms:
- Standard Seal: Provides 1 Unique Charm slot.
- Seal of the Diamond Mind: Provides 2 Unique Charm slots.
- Seal of the Golden Epiphany: Provides 3 Unique Charm slots.
Standard Seal
With ideal affixes, a Mythic Charm can provide an 11% to 16% damage increase compared with a regular Unique Charm.
This is equivalent to effectively gaining an additional perfect Transfiguration affix for free, which can reduce your kill time in high-tier The Pit by a full second, or provide a damage increase equivalent to more than half a Pit Tier.
Seal of the Diamond Mind
If you are using a Seal of the Diamond Mind build, this means equipping 2 Unique Charms and a 4-piece set. This may not only fail to increase your damage, but could even result in lower overall damage.
After all, not every Mythic Charm affix is particularly powerful. If it rolls non-offensive affixes such as All Stats or Armor, its actual value may be lower than that of a regular Ancestral Charm with perfect affixes. It may also force you to give up the bonuses provided by a set,
Seal of the Golden Epiphany
When you can equip three Mythic Charms at the same time, the effect becomes a major power spike. The bonuses provided by three Mythic Charms are almost equivalent to gaining a complete Legendary Aspect out of nowhere. Even with a lower-end setup, they can provide a massive 40% increase compared with Season 14 without Mythic Charms.
How to Obtain Mythic Charms?

Mythic Charms cannot be obtained through Horadric Cube transmutation. If you place a Mythic item and three Mythic Charms into the recipe, the result will still be a regular Unique Charm.
You cannot craft a Mythic Charm by adding a Mythic item to the recipe. Mixing Mythic Charms with non-Mythic Charms in Horadric Cube will also not produce a new Mythic Charm.
Mythic Charms cannot be crafted or upgraded through any transmutation recipe. Unlike regular Unique Charms, they can only be obtained as monster drops, and they cannot be reforged or upgraded. Be sure to keep this in mind to avoid wasting valuable materials.
The Impact of Item Power
If three identical Charms are used, with some having lower Item Power and others having higher Item Power, the final result will inherit the lowest Item Power.
To obtain an Ancestral Charm, ideally, all materials should be Ancestral. Therefore, if you are pursuing the best possible affixes, make sure all D4 items have the same and sufficiently high Item Power.
Best Mythic Charms
Not every Mythic Charm can provide a meaningful upgrade. If you want to effectively increase your character's power, the following Mythic Charms are strong options.
The Grandfather
The Grandfather provides a permanent multiplier to All Damage. It is the strongest overall and most versatile Charm. For any build that primarily deals direct damage, it is a Best-in-Slot choice.
The only exception is DoT builds, as their mechanics may prevent them from fully benefiting from this bonus.
The Furnace
The Furnace provides a massive damage bonus against Elite enemies. It is extremely useful for pushing The Pit.
In high-tier The Pit or Tower content, killing Elites quickly is a critical bottleneck, and its value under high-pressure conditions may even surpass The Grandfather. If you are pushing for higher-tier progression, this Charm is indispensable.
Signet of Pelghain
Signet of Pelghain allows enemies to continuously accumulate a permanent damage-increasing effect through Freeze. Freeze can be triggered through mechanics such as Runes and Lucky Hit.
Mythic version provides a 20% damage increase. Since its effect can stack, it offers virtually unlimited damage scaling.
In-Geom
In-Geom reduces the remaining cooldown of all skills by 10 seconds after defeating groups of Elite enemies. The Mythic version increases this reduction to 13 seconds.
For builds that rely heavily on Ultimate abilities or long-cooldown skill rotations, this is a transformative choice. Unlike percentage-based Cooldown Reduction, flat-value cooldown reduction has no hard cap, giving it extremely high development potential.
Overall, the arrival of Mythic Charms is undoubtedly a significant form of Power Creep. They not only greatly increase the strength of builds using Standard Seal and Seal of the Golden Epiphany, but also reshuffle the priority of Seal choices. More importantly, in an endgame where gear acquisition is becoming increasingly accessible, a top-tier drop that is difficult to target but capable of creating a major power spike provides players chasing perfection with a new goal and renewed motivation.
