Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred Corrupted Roots plus Horadric Cube: Say Goodbye to Material Grinding Forever

Exciting news! A fantastic method for farming weapons and crafting materials using Corrupted Roots has been discovered in Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred. Combined with Horadric Cube transformations, this allows for unlimited gear upgrades!
The core of this farming strategy lies in the synergy between Corrupted Roots and area switching. Players go to Temple of Life area in Skovos and repeatedly trigger area switching - for example, walking through a doorway and returning - to reset the placement count of Corrupted Roots.
In other words, you can place roots an unlimited number of times, each time summoning a large number of monsters. Crucially, these monsters only drop weapons and Horadric Cube materials, with virtually no other debris.

Multiplayer Stacking Effect
This strategy is perfect for multiplayer in the open world because each player can place their own Corrupted Roots, and the monsters and drops from all Corrupted Roots are stacked.
When 10 players place Corrupted Roots in the same area, it's equivalent to a 10x drop multiplier. Even if you're a solo player, once you reach this popular location, you'll naturally see other players placing Corrupted Roots. You simply need to follow suit and collect them; no team or friends are required.
Essential War Plans Nodes
To achieve a loop of only weapon drops and an infinite supply of Corrupted Roots, you need to activate three key nodes in Lord of Hatred War Plans:
- Corrupted Roots: Corrupted Roots have a chance to drop from Whisper Caches obtained after defeating Headrotten bosses.
- Roots of Power: Also used to generate more Corrupted Roots.
- Headrotten Feast: Increases the spawn rate of Headrotten bosses and caches drops.
With these three combined nodes, you'll continuously collect new Corrupted Roots from monster drops, creating a snowball loop of placing Corrupted Roots, killing monsters, getting weapon drops and new roots, and then continuing to place Corrupted Roots, almost without depleting your initial inventory.
Weapon Type Locking
The unique aspect of this location is that all Whisper Cache drops will only yield one-handed weapons.
This is a playstyle tailor-made for Barbarians, as they require four weapons (two sets of dual-wielded one-handed weapons). Furthermore, the equipment you obtain often possesses Greater Affixes or crafting potential.
Unlimited Horadric Cube Conversion
Use Horadric Cube to convert all picked-up weapons, including blue, yellow, and even useless Ancestral gear, into three-in-one weapons.
There's a chance to obtain a weapon with modifiable attributes after conversion, meaning you can continue to add Gem Power, quality, affixes, etc.
Those that become unmodifiable junk weapons can continue to be converted into three-in-one weapons until you get a satisfactory base.
Since the entire process consistently drops a large amount of Horadric Cube material, you can perform this conversion indefinitely without worrying about running out of materials.
Practical Steps
First, head to Temple of Life in Skovos region, then repeatedly switch areas (entering and exiting) to reset the root count.
After placing a Corrupted Root, kill the monsters and pick up all one-handed weapons and Horadric Cube materials. Then retrieve any dropped new Corrupted Roots and immediately place another, even before the battle ends.
It's recommended to place roots while mounted, as this allows for faster movement and safer, continuous root placement.
When your inventory is full, the entire team or you should return to town to convert Horadric Cube. Then, select weapons with the modifiable status and keep them for later Masterwork. Convert all useless weapons and try again.
Additional Helltide Boost
If you're currently in Helltide, you can bring the same large-scale root placement tactic to the Helltide area. This is because using multiple people to place roots in Helltide yields double rewards.
Why is this the best farming strategy?
First, this method only drops weapons and crafting materials, without any distracting items like armor or jewelry, resulting in a backpack purely for one-handed weapons.
The entry barrier is also very low; you only need to unlock three nodes in War Plans and have some Corrupted Roots activated. After that, it snowballs very easily.
Second, the strength of the monsters summoned by the roots is controllable, and the class strength requirements are not high; many classes can easily handle the enemies. Furthermore, the materials dropped by this method are sufficient to support an unlimited number of Horadric Cube conversions.
Finally, we can use this farming method to adapt to the late-game objectives of the season. Players will definitely need a large number of weapons to farm for endgame gear with multiple affixes, and this method directly meets this need.
Precautions and Risks
Server Item Limit
In Lord of Hatred, the number of items dropped on the ground is limited by the server. So you must pick them up quickly, otherwise early drops will disappear. It is recommended to use a very strict drop filter to only display high-tier weapons, materials, and gear with high affix values.
Corrupted Roots Prices May Rise
We predict that once this strategy is revealed, the trading price of roots may surge further. The good news is that you only need to farm roots from other players in Temple of Life.
A Small Amount of Starting Roots is Required
If you have absolutely no roots, you can first obtain your first cache by defeating Headrotten boss, then open the cache to get Corrupted Roots before starting the cycle.
Alternatively, you can directly buy Diablo 4 Corrupted Roots from IGGM.com; and buying 100 Corrupted Roots will get you a 10% discount, which is a great deal and will allow you to obtain dropped weapons and materials faster.
This can be considered the ultimate farming strategy for all Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred players who need weapon crafting. Try it out!
