2025 is drawing to a close, and the first season of CoD BO7 is almost halfway through. According to official information, Season 1 Reloaded will bring even more exciting content.
It has been confirmed that Season 1 will collaborate with Fallout series, and the specific content will likely be released around Christmas, similar to Squid Game collaboration. Let's take a look at what Season 1 Reloaded will bring.

Release Date
The current season's weekly challenges indicate that week five will end on January 8th, usually marking the start of a new phase. Developer interviews have confirmed that Season 1 Reloaded update will launch in early January, coinciding with the development team's return to work after New Year holidays. Therefore, the update is expected to be around January 8th.
Marketing for Season 1 Reloaded is expected to begin on January 6th or 7th. Preload is expected to be available on PlayStation platforms 24-36 hours before the update, but may not be available on Steam or previous generation consoles.
Carry Forward In Season 1 Reloaded
At the initial release of Black Ops 7, the developers officially cancelled Carry Forward program from BO6 to BO7 due to negative community feedback. This meant players couldn't carry over items and other content from BO6 to BO7.
However, Carry Forward still applies in Season 1 Warzone. Players can still use weapons, Operator skins, and bundles acquired in previous games like MW2, MW3, and Black Ops 6 in Warzone.
The developers implemented a small-scale Carry Forward for Zombies mode in CoD BO7, bringing back Field Upgrades and inheriting some player progress, such as unlocked Augments and research projects.
For multiplayer mode, Replacer operator from BO6 was carried over to BO7 for free, only changing the pin number from 6 to 7.
The official plan for Season 1 Reloaded includes a larger-scale legacy update, primarily focusing on BO6 loadout content. Below are the announced Carry Forward items:
- Shock Charge
- Impact Grenade
- Thermal Grenade
- War Machine
- Combat Bow
- Death Machine
- Grim Reaper
- Morphine Injector
- Tactical Insert
- Archery Launcher
- Dreadnought
- SAM Turret
- Strategic Bomber
These carried-over BO6 items will not benefit from BO7 Overclock abilities. However, they can be used to complete daily and weekly challenges, earning medals to unlock trophies and extra XP.
Fallout Collaboration
Season 1 Reloaded is almost certainly confirmed to have an in-game collaboration with the second season of Fallout TV series, coinciding with the show's release.
The collaboration may bring limited-time modes featuring power armor, event passes, and operator skins for TV show characters such as The Ghoul, Lucy, and Maximus. An exclusive Event Pass and a separate Camo challenge event will also be launched.
Fallout-themed limited-time modes are expected in multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone. Endgame may also see related World Events.
Multiplayer Mode
Fringe, the multiplayer map originally from Black Ops 3, is confirmed to be added to Season 1 Reloaded in CoD BO7 and will support wall jumping. This map also returned in Black Ops 6.
Other maps include:
- Meltdown: A faithful remake of a Black Ops 2 map.
- Yakei: An original map based on the Tokyo campaign.
According to data mining information, Stakeout maps may also transition from BO6 to BO7 in the future (such as in Season 2). The official update may adopt a drip feed approach, carrying over some content each season.
Multiplayer mode will also add an original Takeover LTM mode, inspired by past limited-time modes. Players need to capture three neutral zones on the map, and the team with the highest score at the end wins.
Zombie Mode
Season 1 Reloaded will add a Directed Mode and corresponding tutorials to Astra Malorum map. Additionally, a Survival Map called Zarya Cosmodrome will be added to Zombie Mode, and a Fallout-themed limited-time mode is also expected.
A 115-day celebration may be held around January 15th, about a week after the update, revealing a preview of a new map for DLC 2.
Warzone Mode
Season 1 Reloaded update will include weapon balance changes, and new weapons may become new meta items in Warzone.
Season 1 Reloaded will add an animated win streak camouflage reward. Rewards, which players can unlock by winning in Battle Royale or Resurgence.
Besides experimental playlists continuing for the remainder of Season 1, no specific details are yet available regarding in Season 1 reload update, but it is expected to introduce limited-time Fallout-themed modes and weekend experimental modes.
Endgame
Season 1 will feature a total of four world events. Known ones include the already released Colossus of Avalon and Toxic Tyrant, and the upcoming Wraith Wing. The fourth world event is unnamed, but it is speculated to be related to a Fallout collaboration.
New Weapons And Attachments
In addition to the new modes, new weapons will also be introduced. It's currently unclear whether the collaboration will bring Fallout series weapons, but two new weapons are confirmed to be released as mid-season event rewards:
- Hawker HX Sniper Rifle
- Sturmwolf 45 SMG
In addition, there are some new attachments, including the new Redwell Shade-X Suppressor, which is compatible with multiple weapon types. Other new attachments may be released as weekly challenge rewards.
That's a general overview of Season 1 Reloaded. Some highly anticipated content will be delayed until Season 2, such as a holiday version of Rebirth Island map and DLC 2 for Zombies mode.
