  Regarding multiplayer maps, this update primarily optimizes Scar, Sake, Den, and Exposure areas, and fixes some collision zones.

  Additionally, updates have been made to some modes to address issues in Overload and Safeguard modes. For example, players equipped with the Ninja Perk often couldn't hear other players' footsteps, which severely impacted the gameplay experience. Fortunately, this issue has now been resolved. The silence field duration after a kill is now extended.

  Notably, this update also includes some audio improvements, fixing an issue in Item Chase mode where items and hunters couldn't hear jump, slide, or walking sounds. Additionally, restrictions in Ranked Play have been updated and are now fully implemented.

  Zombies

  Zombies mode has also received some updates. This includes bug fixes for Mars Survival mode, the issue of players being unable to be attacked by Hellhound fire in Dead Ops Arcade, and some Field Upgrades-related issues. Additionally, progress tracking errors in some weekly challenges and other Camo challenges have been updated.

  On the UI side, they fixed an issue where players could edit gear configurations in Cursed Survival mode. They also fixed an issue where the total number of available uses remained unchanged after switching Field Upgrades, as well as several other stability issues.

  These updates aim to optimize weapon balance and fix progress-related bugs in this mode.

• CoD BO7 Escalation Directive Event Rewards Guide | Is SG-12 Shotgun and 8 Camos Worth the Grind?

  CoD Black Ops 7 Season 2 has only been out for a week, and you may not have had a chance to experience all the new content yet. But no matter how far you've progressed, now's the time to focus on the new limited-time event!

  This event, called Escalation Directive, aims to help you unlock a multitude of the camo rewards by completing a series of objectives across different modes within a set time.

  Below, we'll provide a detailed breakdown of the rewards and strategies for obtaining them.

  

  Escalation Directive Event schedule

  The event officially began at 10:00 AM Pacific Time on February 12th and will continue until the same time on February 26th, giving you two weeks to play.

  It's important to note that all camo rewards in this event are time-limited; once missed, they cannot be obtained again. However, SG-12 Shotgun, unlocked after completing 9 challenges within the event, will be added to Armory after the event ends.

  Event mechanics overview

  This event adds two camo rewards and corresponding missions to each of Co-Op & Endgame, Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone modes in CoD Bo7.

  One camo is a basic reward unlocked by completing one mission in the corresponding weapon class within that mode; the other requires completing all weapon class challenges in that mode.

  Based on weapon classes, there are 9 basic challenges in each of the four modes. This means that to obtain all 8 camos, you need to complete 36 missions!

  If this is too difficult for you, you can choose to obtain only the 4 basic camos. However, we recommend completing at least 9 challenges to unlock the new weapon, SG-12 Shotgun.

  All Escalation Directive challenges

  Next, we will introduce all obtainable Escalation Directive camo rewards and their specific challenges, categorized by mode.

  Co-Op & Endgame

  The base camo in this mode is Synthesis, and the ultimate camo reward is Cell Fusion. Weapon class challenges that can be completed include:

  • Assault Rifles: Eliminate 50 special or elite enemies using assault rifles.
  • SMGs: Achieve 30 quick kills with submachine guns.
  • Shotguns: Achieve 150 kills with shotguns while maintaining a combat rating of at least 30.
  • LMGs: Eliminate 300 humans or Guild Bots with light machine guns.
  • Marksman Rifles: Achieve 150 eliminations with a marksman rifle at Rare or higher rank.
  • Sniper Rifles: Achieve 100 kills with a sniper rifle in Zone III or higher danger zones during the endgame stage.
  • Pistols: Eliminate 25 enemies affected by your gear or abilities using pistols.
  • Launchers & Specials: Achieve a kill with a launcher or special weapon, or destroy Guild Equipment or VTOLs 50 times.
  • Melee: Achieve a kill with a melee weapon shortly after sliding, diving, or wall jumping 50 times.

  Multiplayer

  The basic camo reward, Decay Heat, features a mysterious and dazzling red glow pattern, while the ultimate Radioactive displays a fresher and brighter green.

  • Assault Rifles: Achieve 150 kills with an assault rifle while Aiming Down Sights.
  • SMGs: Achieve at least 20 Double Kill Medals with a submachine gun.
  • Shotguns: Achieve 25 close-range kills with a shotgun.
  • LMGs: Achieve 3 kills with a light machine gun without reloading 10 times.
  • Marksman Rifles: Achieve 50 kills with a Marksman Rifles equipped with a 4.0x or higher magnification scope.
  • Sniper Rifles: Achieve 25 one-shot kills with a sniper rifle.
  • Pistols: Achieve 25 eliminations with a pistol.
  • Launchers & Specials: Achieve 25 kills or Scorestreak Destructions with launchers or special weapons.
  • Melee: Achieve 25 kills with a melee weapon.

  Zombies

  If you like large, fluorescent patterns, then the basic Prismatic camo offered by Zombies mode is a must-have! The ultimate reward, Rive, looks darker and is better suited for stealth.

  • Assault Rifles: Achieve 10 rapid kills with an assault rifle to earn 25 Massacre Medals.
  • SMGs: Achieve 1000 kills with a submachine gun or a rarer weapon.
  • Shotguns: Take down enemies 500 times while they are in a Pack-a-Punched state with a shotgun.
  • LMGs: Achieve 150 kills with a light machine gun after activating Insta-Kill power-up.
  • Marksman Rifles: Achieve 100 kills with a Marksman Rifle during T.E.D.D Trials.
  • Sniper Rifles: Achieve 300 critical kills with a sniper rifle.
  • Pistols: Achieve 10 consecutive kills with a pistol without taking damage.
  • LMGs: Eliminate 100 armored zombies using launchers or special weapons.
  • Melee: Achieve 300 kills with a melee weapon while wearing level 2 or higher armor.

  Warzone

  The basic camo, Phased, has a strong purple psychedelic style. The ultimate reward, Ionize, is similar in style to Phased, but slightly more serious due to its more monochromatic color scheme.

  • Assault Rifles: Achieve 30 eliminations while equipped with an assault rifle.
  • SMGs: Achieve 10 kills with a submachine gun while moving.
  • Shotguns: Aim at enemies and get 5 kills with a shotgun.
  • LMGs: Get 2 kills with a light machine gun within 3 shots in a single match.
  • Marksman Rifles: Get 3 kills with a Marksman Rifles without respawning.
  • Sniper Rifles: Get 5 long shot kills with a sniper rifle.
  • Pistols: Get 3 eliminations with a pistol.
  • Launchers & Specials: Get 3 kills with launchers or special weapons, or destroy 3 vehicles.
  • Melee: Get 3 kills with a melee weapon.

  

  Optimal reward farming strategy

  Since each challenge requires different weapons, it's difficult to complete all challenges in one mode at once. Therefore, the key is to clearly define your goals: acquire all camos, all basic camos, or selectively acquire individual camos you prefer.

  Once you've determined your goals, you can create a simple reward earning plan and complete the tasks one by one until you obtain all the desired rewards.

  Unlike weapons, there's no clear-cut superiority or inferiority of camos; it all comes down to your personal aesthetic. So don't put too much pressure on yourself, just enjoy the game for the next two weeks!
