CoD Black Ops 7's Own Marketing Leaks Season 2 Paradox Junction | Nuketown During a Nuclear Explosion?

The map for Zombies DLC has been leaked, and this is likely one of the most bizarre ways Zombies DLC map has been revealed so far.
The first official image of the second DLC map, Paradox Junction, was accidentally leaked by Call of Duty itself. This leaked image almost perfectly confirms the map's location, which is sure to spark discussion among players.

Official Leak
The way this map image was leaked is probably something Call of Duty studio never anticipated. The game's second season is currently underway. As part of the season's promotion, an official trailer was released showcasing all the items included in Season 2.
In the standard wide-screen version, the trailer showcases everything from multiplayer to Zombies mode. One screen displayed "AND ZOMBIES" and showcased six different map images, five of which were:
- Ashwood
- Exit 115
- Astra Malorum
- Vandorn Farm
- Mars Survival

However, in the middle of the second row, there was a map obscured by letters. This zombie map was not one of the ones we were familiar with at this location.
Since it was obscured in the trailer, how did players get the unobscured version? The answer is that the official Call of Duty Facebook and Instagram accounts uploaded a vertical trailer where the map image was completely unobscured.
This was definitely an unintentional mistake, because about two hours after the trailer was released, people began to notice the map image included, and the official account immediately removed it from Instagram and Facebook.
Therefore, whatever marketing activities the official team had planned for the map reveal have now been completely disrupted. They now have to completely change their plans, and the official team may simply release a high-resolution, full version of the image. This is definitely a blow to the official team, as it disrupts what might have been a well-planned marketing campaign. The release may now need to be brought forward, and we might receive news sooner.
Nuketown Returns

Based on the leaked official Paradox Junction map image, the scene is almost certainly the classic Nuketown.
Previous speculations and rumors circulating in the player community have been largely confirmed; a remastered version of Alpha Omega Nuketown zombie map seems to be confirmed. Although the image quality is low, resulting in some missing details, it is undoubtedly Nuketown.
A yellow school bus can be seen in the lower left corner of the image. A truck from Nuketown is on the right. The iconic Nuketown timer itself appears to have been knocked over, overturned and crashing onto a rooftop.
The main visual focus of the image is, of course, the massive mushroom cloud. While the reason for this nuclear explosion is unknown, there is no doubt that this is Nuketown.
Map Style and Mysterious Details

How many areas on the map are remakes of Nuketown or Alpha Omega is currently unknown, as this is the only image officially released so far. However, judging from the colors and atmosphere, considering this is Nuketown, it's more reminiscent of the orange-yellow tones of Nuketown Zombies mode in Black Ops 2, rather than the color scheme of Nuketown version in Black Ops 4 Alpha Omega.
One striking detail in the image is the mushroom cloud itself. At the very center of the cloud, it appears to form a face. A huge beam of light is positioned precisely at the nose's location, but we can clearly see the upper part of the nose, details of the eyes and eyebrows, and the mouth below the beam.
At the bottom, it looks like a pair of hands are supporting the base of this face, which is very eerie. It's unclear whether this is an optical illusion caused by the low-resolution image or if it's real. If this face does exist, it likely plays a very important role in this map.
Just look at Paradox Junction logo, and you'll find a huge skull occupying the center. This is likely related to the face we see in the mushroom cloud. It's important to remember that this map's narrative will not follow the pattern of Ashes of the Damned and Astra Malorum.
Paradox Junction is a separate fragment of time, ruled by The Warden. Therefore, everything here will be drastically different, potentially unfolding a very cool story around the character represented by the mushroom cloud. Perhaps it's an evil entity assisting The Warden in guarding Paradox Junction, which players will ultimately save. It's reasonable to speculate that this mushroom cloud might be the map's boss fight.
Map Location
Up to this point, rumors have focused on it being a remake of Alpha Omega Nuketown. We can clearly see that Nuketown is 100% part of the map, and in my opinion, it hasn't been significantly remade. However, this might just be one of many areas on the map, and the leaked image only shows one of the most iconic areas; there's much more to the map than can be glimpsed from a single image.
Interestingly, Nuketown in Black Ops 2 depicted the scene after a nuclear strike; Alpha Omega depicted the scene before a nuclear strike; and now Paradox Junction depicts Nuketown during a nuclear explosion. Imagine if a nuclear bomb exploded during gameplay, completely altering the entire map – that could be a very interesting gameplay element.
Season 2 Reloaded Release Date Prediction
According to data miners, the final event of CoD Black Ops 7 Season 2 will end on March 9th. Therefore, Season 2 Reloaded content is expected to launch on Thursday, March 12th. It could also be released the week before. This is just speculation until official confirmation and announcement.
Therefore, we have approximately five weeks until the map release. The official team will likely gradually release information about the new map during this time. Let's wait and see if our predictions are accurate.
Zombies mode is one of the most interesting modes in CoD BO7. Even if Paradox Junction brings us a remastered map, it will likely include many new hidden menus. There are CoD Black Ops 7 Bot Lobbies for sale on IGGM, which you can use to fully explore the new map's menus.
