ARC Raiders Update 1.17.0 Weapon Nerfs and Price Increases? New Weapons, Maps, and Gameplay Adjustments

Category: ARC Raiders Posted: Feb 26, 2026 Views: 930

ARC Raiders Shrouded Sky has been released. To better align the original game settings with the new update, the developers released Patch 1.17.0 to refine game details. Specifically, this includes adjustments and fixes to weapons, maps, and gameplay details.

Weapon Balance Adjustments

Based on player feedback, some lower-tier weapons were significantly more powerful and cheaper than higher-tier weapons, which could create an imbalance for players using higher-tier weapons. Therefore, the developers have adjusted some weapons.

ARC Raiders Update 1.17.0 Weapon Nerfs and Price Increases? New Weapons, Maps, and Gameplay Adjustments

Stitcher

First, Stitcher needs to be nerfed. As a melee weapon, it heavily relies on the player's movement skills, but its extremely short kill time leaves attacked players with no chance to retaliate, leading to numerous complaints. The main reason for this is Stitcher's extremely high headshot damage. While aiming at the body gives the victim a chance to fight back, aiming at the head results in an instant kill.

This update primarily reduces Stitcher's spray accuracy and headshot damage multiplier. Single-shot dispersion has increased by approximately 50%, while the headshot damage multiplier has been reduced from 2.5 to 1.75, and the base damage has also been lowered from 7 to 6.5.

Kettlet

Secondly, Kettle has been nerfed. Originally designed for close to mid-range combat, this weapon is now being used by players as a submachine gun in close-quarters combat. While the developers expressed satisfaction with its versatility, they still wanted it to differentiate itself from Stitcher.

Therefore, its base damage has been reduced from 10 to 8.5, but a relatively high headshot damage multiplier has been retained to encourage headshots.

Venator

Next is Venator. This weapon is somewhat unique; the developers have been nerfing it since version 1.13.0, but many players still report that it remains strong in PvP. Despite multiple nerfs, it remains one of the highest-performing weapons in ARC Raiders.

Regarding Venator, the developers have been gradually testing the waters, striving to find a balance. This time, its headshot multiplier has been reduced from 2.5 to 2, and its base damage has been lowered from 9 to 8.

Jupiter

Additionally, the developers have made minor buffs to Jupiter. In previous versions, although it had extremely high headshot damage, it was difficult to achieve accurate headshots at long range, and at close range, absolute certainty was required, otherwise, you would have a high chance of being counter-killed.

This adjustment increases ADS Magnification from 1.9x to 2.2x, reduces the equipping time from 1.2 seconds to 1.05 seconds, and reduces the unequip time from 0.9 seconds to 0.75 seconds. These adjustments will alleviate the previous drawbacks to some extent, providing players with a better headshot experience.

Aphelion

Finally, minor adjustments were made to Aphelion. Game data analysis showed its combat pace was slower than other PvP weapons, so these adjustments aimed to make it more agile and improve its usability.

Specific adjustments are as follows: base reload time reduced by 1 second to 3.5 seconds; firing interval reduced from 0.9 seconds to 0.7 seconds; vertical recoil reduced by approximately 50%; ADS Settle Speed increased by 35%.

Map Fixes

ARC Raiders has many maps. The addition of Hurricane map condition in Shrouded Sky affected existing maps, potentially causing players to stray outside the map. To address this, the developers implemented two fixes: general fixes and targeted fixes.

General Fixes

General fixes apply to all maps. ARC Raiders patch 1.17.0 reduces accidental clipping and teleportation issues, fixes interaction errors at the top of some ladders and missing environmental items, and adjusts lighting across different maps.

Targeted Fixes

In addition to general fixes, the developers have made more specific adjustments to Buried City, Stella Montis, and The Blue Gate.

Buried City

Under Bird City map condition, the chance of rare loot appearing in the chimneys of Buried City has been reduced.

Stella Montis

To prevent players from using the Unstuck ability to escape to areas outside the map, the developers have fixed several collision issues in Lobby, Atrium, Loading Bay, Train Station tunnels, and Seed Vault areas of Stella Montis. They have also resolved the issue of bullets shooting from the Lobby ceiling.

Regarding lighting adjustments, the developers have adjusted the nighttime lighting on the map, improving visibility in darker areas. They have also added lighting to specific areas, such as improving nighttime visibility at the Seed Vault extraction point.

The issue with interactive prompts has also been fixed; players will no longer receive prompts after placing the Spillway bridge on the map.

Furthermore, the issue of players being able to climb onto the top of trains has also been fixed.

The Blue Gate

In this map, the developers primarily fixed some lighting and map-related issues. The former optimized thunderstorm lighting, improving player visibility, while the latter fixed an issue where players would exceed the map boundaries on The Blue Gate track.

Item Changes

In Patch 1.17.0, the developers adjusted the trade price, value, and crafting cost of some ARC Raiders items.

Deadline

First is Deadline, an epic item with extremely high damage output.

  • Trader price: Increased from 15,000 to 18,000.
  • Value: Increased from 5,000 to 6,000.
  • Crafting cost: Added Comet Igniter as a crafting material.

Trailblazer

Next is Trailblazer, a grenade with a 2-meter damage radius that triggers a chain reaction upon ignition.

  • Trader price: Increased from 4,800 to 6,600.
  • Value: Increased from 1,600 to 2,200.
  • Crafting cost: Added Firefly Burner as a crafting material.

Wolfpack

Another epic weapon, Wolfpack. It disperses into multiple homing projectiles that track ARCs and explode upon impact.

  • Value: Increased from 5,000 to 6,000.
  • Crafting cost: Added Rocketeer Driver as a crafting ingredient, while reducing Explosive Compound by 2.

Vita Spray

Vita Spray is now a medical item that can be used by the player or a teammate, continuously restoring health during use.

  • Value: Increased from 3000 to 3400.
  • Crafting cost: Added Tick Pod as a crafting ingredient.

Showstopper

Finally, Showstopper is a rare item with a 6-meter damage radius. Upon detonation, it stuns both ARCs and raiders.

  • Value: Reduced from 2200 to 2100.
  • Crafting cost: Added Hornet Driver as a crafting ingredient, while changing Advanced Electrical Components to Electrical Components.

Gameplay Adjustments

Besides weapons and maps, gameplay is also a key focus for players. ARC Raiders patch 1.17.0 includes fixes and adjustments to several gameplay aspects:

Fixes

  • Fixed issues with player interaction at excessive distances.
  • Fixed the issue of players being unable to move after respawning with Defibrillator.
  • Fixed the issue of downed player corpses triggering search prompts; they will no longer block hatch extraction.

Adjustments

  • Added a new interactive object, the piano.
  • To cancel this behavior when equipping other items and weapons, simply hold down and continuously interact.
  • Players can no longer stand on immovable items.
  • Added gamepad aim assist for Sentinels, Turrets, Shredders, and Surveyors.
  • To prevent matchmaking errors, players cannot enter Practice Range queue when in a party.
  • To provide a fairer visual experience, NVIDIA Freestyle filters cannot be enabled simultaneously.
  • Even when the inventory is full, players can still use seeds to obtain items or free loadout augments.

These are some of the most requested features in ARC Raiders patch 1.17.0. In addition, there are many other minor adjustments, all aimed at providing a better gaming experience. With player feedback, ARC Raiders is sure to continue improving.
