With the official launch of Expedition 2, all raiders participating in it face a harsh reality: all your progress is reset to zero, including the blueprints you painstakingly acquired. But don't despair! Blueprints are now quite common compared to before, so it's time to take some time to retrieve them.

Here are some important tips to help you maximize your chances of finding the blueprints you need after wiping. Let's take a look!

However, before we begin, we need to understand what changes have occurred in the game since the last update.

Hurricane & First Wave Caches

First, all maps will now have a Hurricane map condition. While the loot drops during the event won't satisfy everyone, First Wave Caches generated during this period offer a surprisingly wonderful reward.

These caches are essentially a special version of regular Raider Caches; they emit a unique electronic beep when you get very close. The problem is that even though these sounds are unique, they're difficult to detect compared to the sheer volume of the wind.

Why are we specifically mentioning these special First Wave Caches? Because high-value, extremely rare weapon blueprints actually spawn in these locations. Based on current player testing, you can find Tempest, BobCat, and even Vulcano blueprints here. However, please note that these caches currently only spawn during Hurricane event and are extremely rare.

Nevertheless, First Wave Caches are currently one of the best ways to obtain ARC Raiders blueprints and are definitely worth trying.

Update 1.18.0 Nerfs Blueprint Drop Rate

Additionally, Update 1.18.0 has just been released. In this patch, they reduced the drop rate of rare blueprints but increased the drop rate of high-level materials. According to the developers, this is to balance the higher blueprint drop rate from First Wave Caches. While this adjustment makes some sense, especially with the current Hurricane map condition, this regression is indeed regrettable.

Blueprint Spawn Mechanism

Next, we'll discuss the blueprint spawn mechanism and how to maximize your chances of finding blueprints.

Blueprints in ARC Raiders are almost ubiquitous, but they belong to different spawn points. For example, Vita Shot, Vita Spray, Defibrillator, etc. Medical Blueprints typically appear in medical locations, and occasionally in containers related to medical loot, even if their tags differ.

Because blueprints themselves spawn relatively infrequently, opening containers can yield unexpected rewards. The type of container and your location determine which items will spawn inside. However, you can control the probability of finding rare items by combining some basic rules.

Don't forget that starting a looting event during a map event that increases the overall value of loot can also increase your chances of obtaining high-level blueprints; for example, Cold Snap, Night Raids, and even the current Hurricane can do this.

Therefore, to maximize your chances of obtaining the blueprints you need, you can head to high-value blueprint spawn points tagged with the relevant type during a map condition that increases the overall value of loot, and then open as many containers as possible as quickly as possible.

Best Farming Locations for Different Blueprint Types

As we mentioned before, ARC Raiders blueprints are divided into different categories. Heading to loot locations tagged with the relevant type can further increase the likelihood of blueprint drops. So, let's take a look at the best ways to obtain different types of blueprints.

Map Condition Blueprints

First are blueprints that generate under specific map conditions. Although Locked Gate and Hidden Bunker don't seem to be in the game right now, you might find Vulcano blueprints in Hidden Bunker and BobCat blueprints in Locked Gate when they return.

In addition, Electromagnetic Storm still exists, where you can find Snap Hook blueprints. However, these blueprints are now rarer than before after being nerfed. Another general and interesting map event is Night Raids, where you can find Tempest and Wolfpack blueprints.

Augment

Obtaining Augment blueprints is a bit more interesting. Typically, you can find them in medical containers or special security containers, including black lockers, black crates, or box-like lockers, scattered throughout the map.

For example, in The Blue Gate's MANTIKOR underground facility, there's a small, breachable room with many black lockers, so you can try your luck there. Not only that, there's also a medical room upstairs; you might find a surprise there!

Medical

Medical resources typically include items like Vita Shot, Vita Spray, and Defibrillator. Therefore, the best places to look for Medical Blueprints are high-density, high-drop-rate areas, such as Stella Montis Medical Wing, Buried City Hospital/Research, and Dam Testing Annex. Of course, you can also try your luck in Blue Gate Village and Spaceport Arrival medical room. Note that you should focus on searching medical containers, especially during Night Raids, to maximize the spawn rate.

Weapons and Related Components

Weapons and weapon components are categorized into light, medium, and heavy, and are often found hidden in Raider Containers. These containers include Raider Caches, Weapon Cases, Raider Bags, and Ammo Cases buried underground. This is a large pool of blueprints, so focusing on specific blueprints can be challenging. However, since each map has many reliable sources of weapon blueprints, they are easily obtainable regularly.

Remember: During the event, try to open these resource pools at high-value loot locations to further increase the value of the loot and thus the chance of obtaining blueprints.

Attachments

Weapon attachment blueprints primarily drop in commercial and residential areas. Examples include apartment buildings in Dam Battlegrounds, the large lockers and library in Buried City, or the grand apartments and various residences on the map. If you're going to Spaceport, focus on looting buildings like Departure Building and its long storage rooms.

Utility Items

If you're looking for utility blueprints like Barricade Kit, Remote Raider Flare, and Tagging Grenade, you can target electronic containers. These containers come in many forms; for example, on Stella Montis map, you might find bots; and server racks on any map might contain generators, computers, control panels, and other electronic devices. You can repeatedly loot these containers to easily find these specific blueprints.

Trial

In addition, blueprints can also be obtained as random drops from completing weekly trials. These blueprints are diverse. You can get rare items like BobCat, but usually you'll get attachments, augmentations, or even regular raider weapons. So, completing trials is a good idea if you want blueprints.

Quest-Specific Blueprints

Finally, some blueprints are obtained as quest rewards. For example, completing Sparks Fly Quest guarantees you Trigger Nade Blueprint; completing Greasing Her Palms Quest rewards you with Lure Grenade Blueprint; Burletta Blueprint comes from Industrial Espionage Quest; and of course, there are the very important Hullcracker and Launcher Ammo Blueprints, both from The Major's Footlocker Quest.

These are the best ways and places to loot blueprints after an expedition wipe. While the drops are generally random, with the right techniques and a few runs, you can still quickly regain your previous progress!

By the way, here's a secret tip for preserving blueprints: before triggering an expedition reset, transfer your blueprints to a trusted friend or teammate, provided they are not participating in the current expedition. After the reset, they can immediately transfer the blueprints back to you. This way, you won't have to worry about spending a lot of time catching up!

ARC Raiders Third Expedition Mechanism Has Been Changed | Forget about Stash Value, focus on damage!
ARC Raiders is rolling out a major update at the end of April, including a new map and an all-new boss. Around the same time, the third Expedition window is also set to open in late April, making this a very significant moment.

On April 17, the team released an article titled A Triumphant Exit, which essentially serves as the official announcement for the third Expedition. It lays out the timing for the third Expedition, key adjustments to the seasonal reset, and several welcome changes compared to previous Expeditions. Let's break down the details.

Third Expedition Date

The specific window for the third Expedition has now been confirmed to open on April 28, aligning closely with earlier estimates. This date also marks the release of Riven Tides update. It will be the first time an Expedition window opens on the same day as a content update - previously, the update would arrive first, followed by Expedition window a day or two later.

The only difference is that the window will open a few hours after the update goes live. This Expedition window will last for five days. The opening and closing times, by time zone, are as follows:
- UTC: April 28, 11:00 – May 4, 07:00
- PDT: April 28, 04:00 – May 4, 00:00
- BST: April 28, 12:00 – May 4, 08:00
- CET: April 28, 12:00 – May 4, 08:00
- AEST: April 28, 21:00 – May 4, 17:00
- JST: April 28, 20:00 – May 4, 16:00
Expedition Requirements

If you've been hoarding wealth or high-value items throughout this season, most of that accumulation has now become largely irrelevant. Unlike previous seasons, where coins and stash value were the final targets for earning top rewards, this Expedition requires you to deal damage to enemies during the window to obtain the highest reward: 5 Skill Points.

This adjustment is now the standard rule for the current version, whether you are taking part in your first, second, or third Expedition. The number of Expeditions you've completed doesn't matter - what counts is the total damage you deal between April 28 and May 4.

How to Meet the Damage Requirement?

To earn all 5 Skill Points for this season, you need to deal damage to any target except the shooting range within the five-day window. This change is clearly meant to encourage active combat. However, the exact damage threshold has not yet been revealed.

The team has already stated their intention to reform Expedition system, moving away from a monotonous gold grind and reshaping core mechanics such as ARC Raiders blueprints and Skill Point allocation. This shift was therefore to be expected.

Players who enjoy PvE will need to find ways to eliminate ARC enemies on the map, while PvP players can expect even more chaos and relentless killing during the window. Stella Montis is sure to become a bloody battlefield.

Stash Value

Although your stash value is no longer needed for this Expedition, the catch-up mechanic still relies on coins and stash value for conversion. Similar to the previous Expedition, you can use 300,000 (combined coins and stash value) to make up for each Skill Point you missed earlier. However, you must first obtain the 5 skill points from the current Expedition by completing the damage challenge.

For example, suppose you earned only 3 out of 5 Skill Points in the last Expedition (missing 2). This time, you complete the damage challenge and earn all 5 Skill Points. If, when the window closes, you have a combined stash and coin value of 600,000, you will receive a total of 7 Skill Points. If you also missed points from the first Expedition, you can continue to catch up, but that will require even more value.

Last Call

A major issue with past Expedition windows was that players had to actively confirm and agree to depart within the five-day window. If you missed it, the entire Expedition window became void - no reset, no benefits.

Now, a new feature called Last Call has been introduced. It allows players who have completed all the prerequisite steps for an Expedition and are only waiting for departure confirmation - even if they missed the five-day registration window - to still depart the next time they log in, after the window has closed and the reset has already taken place.

The only difference is that because you depart through this option without needing to meet the damage requirement, you will not earn any Skill Points. However, you will still receive the basic rewards, including:
- Patchwork outfit (evolved)
- Expedition Indicator icon
- Stash capacity increase
More importantly, Last Call also allows you to retain your Consecutive Buffs. If you fail to depart, those buffs would be lost. Last Call gives you one final chance - even if you can't obtain all the rewards, you can still advance your progress and make up for what you missed in the next Expedition window.

Rewards

Permanent Rewards

Patchwork outfit from Expedition rewards will continue to evolve. However, the announcement mentions that the fourth Expedition will feature a completely different appearance. The evolved skin actually already existed in the game files in an unimplemented state after the last Expedition update, and it will now be officially awarded as the reward for the third Expedition. Depending on whether you are participating in your first, second, or third Expedition, you will receive the corresponding version of the outfit.

Stash capacity: Each Expedition adds 12 stash slots. After upgrading to the maximum capacity:
- First Expedition: 292 slots
- Second Expedition: 304 slots
- Third Expedition: 316 slots
Each Expedition grants up to 5 Skill Points, plus any additional points you catch up on. Note that you can obtain at most 5 extra points via the catch-up mechanic per Expedition, for a total of 10.

Consecutive Buffs

Depending on how many Expeditions you have completed, these buffs will stack cumulatively, up to a maximum of three stacks.
- General experience bonus: 5% → 10% → 15%
- Scrappy materials boost: 6% → 12% → 18%
- Repair value increase: 60% → 70% → 80%
If you complete the third Expedition but skip the fourth, these buffs will drop back to the base level, and you will need to complete three Expeditions in a row again to restore them to their current tier.

This third Expedition is certainly more engaging than simply hoarding stash value, but the window is rather short, and many players may miss out. The current approach to Expedition doesn't feel fully mature. Given that the team is considering adjustments to various aspects of the game, these changes may well be temporary.
ARC Raiders Dolabra Pros & Cons Analysis | It may not deserve to be a legendary weapon
In ARC Raiders FlashPoint, a new legendary weapon called Dolabra has been added to the game. It is a shotgun that, like other energy firearms, uses Energy Clips and features Strong Armor Penetration. While its penetration isn't top-tier, its unique dual-mode firing mechanism makes it an intriguing weapon.

Of course, players care more about how well it actually performs - after all, in ARC Raiders, a weapon's rarity doesn't tell the whole story. Quite a few rare and epic weapons are favored for their better utility. So we need to test how it holds up in real combat.

Against Large ARC Units

Large ARC units like Bastion and Bombardier boast heavy firepower and tough armor. For most PvE weapons, the most straightforward strategy is to aim for their core zone and pour on the damage. Equalizer, Jupiter, and Hullcracker all have potent Arc Armor Penetration, allowing them to dump massive damage in a short time and quickly destroy their targets. This brute-force approach works very efficiently on them.

But Dolabra falls short in this regard. It only has Strong Arc Armor Pen, not extreme. Using the same head-on assault tactic, it takes considerably longer to eliminate a target. It's no exaggeration to say that even an Anvil or a Bettina might get the job done faster.

So if you want to take down large ARC units with Dolabra, you'll need a more strategic approach. First, you have to target their weak points to knock them down, then circle around to their core to unload all your damage.

The problem, however, is that Dolabra's rate of fire and reload speed prevent you from dealing a lethal amount of damage before the target gets back up. In comparison, if you were wielding a Vulcano, the fight would already be over. Overall, against large ARC units, Dolabra is far from an excellent choice.

Against Small Flying ARC Units

It's when you use Dolabra against smaller ARC units that its true strengths emerge. It proves highly efficient against light flyers like Wasps, Hornets, and Fireflies - usually taking just two shots to bring one down.

When you fire at a Hornet's or Firefly's thrusters, the spread of pellets often destroys the other thruster behind it as well, genuinely letting you eliminate one enemy with two shots. In terms of takedown speed, it's on par with Equalizer, Jupiter, and Hullcracker.

If you sometimes can't be bothered to aim carefully, don't need pinpoint accuracy, and just want to quickly clear those annoying airborne pests, Dolabra is a handy and effective choice.

This is especially true when you're running around Stella Montis region on trial missions, getting frustrated by those scurrying, aggressively taunting Ticks. Anvil often misses them, but Dolabra never lets you down - its wide pellet spread means you'll almost always hit, and sometimes you can even take out two Ticks with a single shot.

However, against Shredders found in Stella Montis area, Dolabra can't maintain that level of performance. Shredders have heavier armor, and Dolabra's damage per shot isn't sufficient to punch through effectively, so taking one down consumes a lot of ammunition.

Of course, if you want to achieve higher scores in the weekly Trials Tick missions, a Dolabra will definitely save you a lot of trouble. If you haven't obtained its blueprint yet, you can participate in IGGM's giveaway on Discord to get various weapon blueprints for free.

Range and Damage Falloff

When using this weapon, you'll constantly notice it falls short in some respects. One of Dolabra's biggest issues is that, while you can tighten its pellet spread by aiming down sights to turn it into a mid-range weapon, it suffers from a strict maximum range limit.

Worse still, even when you're within that maximum range, if the target is near the edge of that range, damage falloff becomes severe. This prevents it from serving as a reliable long-range weapon like Anvil. Unless the target is quite close, Dolabra won't deliver satisfactory damage.

This puts Dolabra in a very awkward position. It can't match the speed of Vulcano or other powerful PvE weapons when taking down large ARC units. For clearing flying ARC units at a distance - while doable - most other weapons can do the same. And when you try to engage ARC units farther away, you're frustrated by the maximum range limit. In short, for every role, there's a better option.

PvP Performance

In PvP, Dolabra's damage as a shotgun is fairly reliable. Within 15 meters, you can consistently eliminate a full-health player with a light shield in three shots. The number of hits to kill is almost identical whether you hip-fire or aim down sights. But Volcano has a faster firing rate, a higher margin for error, and a higher kill efficiency, while its acquisition difficulty and cost are not necessarily higher.

Crafting Requirements

One advantage of Dolabra is that, compared to other legendary weapons, its material needs are much simpler. As long as you have ARC Raiders Dolabra blueprint, you can easily replicate this weapon. The required materials are as follows:
- Vaporizer Regulator x2
- Magnetic Accelerator x3
- Shredder Gyro x3
Among these, Shredder Gyros and Magnetic Accelerators can be obtained in large quantities without much trouble in Stella Montis map. As for Vaporizer Regulators, defeating just one or two Vaporizers will get you enough. Unlike other legendary weapons, crafting Dolabra doesn't require hunting for exceptionally rare drops like Queen Reactor.

Additionally, it is the only non-basic weapon in the game that doesn't require Simple Gun Parts. This makes it much easier to craft compared to other legendary weapons. But considering its overall performance, an epic rarity might suit it better.

All in all, Dolabra is neither the best weapon in PvP nor in PvE. Currently, it lacks an irreplaceable core advantage to justify its legendary status. The developers need to give it a boost.
ARC Raiders Patch 1.24.0 fixed bugs and provided compensation for the unexpectedly cancelled project!

The new map information for ARC Raiders revealed in recent emails is truly exciting; however, it will still be some time before these updates are actually implemented in the game. If you've been playing regularly, it's just as important to stay informed about the game's current status!

With that in mind, ARC Raiders released Patch 1.24.0 this week, as per their usual schedule, on Tuesday, April 14th. In addition to standard bug fixes, this patch introduces two new cosmetic sets, one of which is specifically for Scrappy, your rooster companion.

Below, we'll walk you through all the details of this patch so you don't miss out on any information that could impact your gameplay experience.

Two new sets

The two new sets are named Nascosto Set and Scrappy Speckled Set. The former is available for you, as a Raider, to acquire and equip, while the latter can be used to customize your rooster companion back at your base.

Nascosto Set features a relatively understated and subtle design aesthetic. Its overall look resembles camouflage, evoking a distinct sense of stealth and concealment.

If you know a little Italian, you'll realize that this design philosophy aligns perfectly with the set's name, as Nascosto literally translates to hidden or concealed in Italian.

The set offers three different color schemes for you to choose from, along with extensive customization options; you can freely swap out accessories, such as the hood, mask, and armor, whenever you wish.

It's worth noting that the base Nascosto Set does not include a backpack or face paint; however, if you get the set from the store for 1,700 Raider Tokens, these two additional components will be included as a bonus.

As for Speckled Set, its centerpiece is a small helmet that Scrappy can wear; the set also includes three other accompanying components.

If you only want to acquire the helmet, it will cost you 500 Raider Tokens. However, the complete Speckled Set costs only 700 Tokens, so, budget permitting, we highly recommend getting the full set directly.

Comprehensive fixes for game crashes

In recent weeks, ARC Raiders has been plagued by a multitude of game crashes, ranging from minor glitches to major system failures.

Although the technical team has been continuously working to address these issues, finding a permanent, definitive solution has proven to be a challenging task. Based on this, this week's patch continues to focus specifically on addressing these issues.

However, since the bugs are somewhat scattered and the patch notes do not explicitly detail exactly what was fixed, it is difficult to judge the effectiveness of the update at this stage.

Overall, the most common crash-related issues involve sudden game crashes occurring in the middle of a raid.

Furthermore, if you manage to successfully reconnect after a crash, you might find that either all the loot you had acquired has vanished, or, for some inexplicable reason, you have respawned in a location where you are extremely vulnerable to being killed.

If these types of issues remain unaddressed, they will severely undermine your overall gaming experience and enthusiasm. Therefore, we sincerely hope that Patch 1.24.0 proves to be truly effective.

Vanguard Set Model bug fixed

Introduced just last week in Patch 1.23.0, Vanguard Set quickly gained significant popularity despite having been available for only a few days. Unfortunately, model-related bugs soon began to surface.

More specifically, this bug caused visual glitches for anyone wearing the set, resulting in uncontrolled stretching and distortion of the character model.

Not only was this visually unappealing, but it could also lead to unnecessary losses by obstructing the player's field of view.

In fact, even before the release of Patch 1.24.0, the development team explicitly stated that they would definitely fix this bug; fortunately, that promise has now become a reality.

Stella Montis audio bug fixed

Before Patch 1.24.0, particularly within Stella Montis map, a specific audio bug would occur: if an enemy player was located on ARC and there were no obstructions between you and the target, their footsteps or other sound effects would sound significantly fainter than their intended volume.

As audio is a critical component of the game, and while we do not necessarily encourage looting other players to stock up on gear, combat is sometimes unavoidable.

Consequently, this audio bug could clearly result in severe disadvantages for one of the parties involved.

AMD FSR Frame Generation bug fixed

AMD FSR Frame Generation technology works by predicting and inserting new frames between rendered frames to deliver a smoother, higher-frame-rate gaming experience; this technology plays a significant role in ARC Raiders.

However, recently, when this technology was active, it could cause visual anomalies that resulted in the game's graphics appearing blurry or indistinct. Now this issue has now been resolved.

Zipline bug fixed

Ziplines serve as a deployable utility item in the game, allowing you to quickly traverse back and forth between two points once set up. This feature is particularly useful in environments featuring significant vertical elevation differences.

Prior to the release of Patch 1.24.0, a bug occasionally occurred where, if you deployed a zipline onto a movable object positioned at a cliff's edge, your character would inadvertently end up situated beneath the cliff.

Although this issue has now been resolved, this is not the first time ziplines have malfunctioned when interacting with movable objects; hopefully, the developers will implement further optimizations for this system in the future.

Inventory switching bug fixed

This bug refers to a specific glitch where, if you accidentally press the fire button while in the process of switching inventory items, the switch is interrupted. Consequently, items that require a hold-to-use input, such as bandages, are automatically activated.

Technically speaking, this anomaly stems from an input command conflict, a situation where the game's system becomes confused while attempting to process multiple simultaneous input commands.

Old project compensation plan

Almost every update released over the past few months has introduced new projects for players to complete. Furthermore, the developers previously pledged to provide ample time, along with advance warnings, before permanently removing any projects from the game.

However, an awkward oversight occurred when Weather Monitor Station Project, originally released alongside Shrouded Sky update in February, abruptly vanished following the launch of Flashpoint update.

As a result, many players were unable to complete the project in time, causing them to miss out on various rewards.

In contrast, Trophy Display Project, introduced back in January, remains available to this day. This discrepancy suggests that the handling of Weather Monitor Station Project was indeed mishandled by ARC Raiders.

Consequently, via this latest patch, the developers have asked players who failed to complete the aforementioned Project in time to keep a close watch on their in-game mailboxes over the coming days; this strongly implies that appropriate compensation will be distributed to those affected.

Meanwhile, the patch notes also explicitly state that High Gain Antenna Project, originally released with Flashpoint update, will become unavailable following the April update.

However, according to the original Escalation roadmap, Riven Tides update, scheduled for release in late April, will introduce a new map. Moreover, it is highly likely to feature a beach-themed setting, distinct from any of the maps currently in the game!

Typically, ARC Raiders only reveals new content a few days prior to an update's release via short teaser trailers. This time, however, if you are subscribed to their mailing list, you received an exclusive early look at a teaser containing images showcasing the new Riven Tides map!

But even if you aren't subscribed, don't worry; we're here to walk you through these images and the rest of the email's contents, while analyzing the many hidden details tucked within them.

Email content overview

If you received the email, you would have noticed the internal header titled "Field Observation 001." It contains a block of text resembling an operational log, accompanied by two images captioned "Exodus Hotel" and "Interior Wrecked."

Exodus Hotel image depicts a dilapidated resort named Panorama Azzurro, featuring palm trees flanking its entrance. Extending upward from the hotel's signage is a zipline; its ultimate destination remains a mystery.

Interior Wrecked image showcases a ruin rendered in a predominantly dark-yellowish palette, with what appears to be a broken robot situated in the center of the frame. On the wall behind it, a large graffiti tag reads "Bardi", it means liar.

In fact, by cross-referencing this with other information already released regarding Riven Tides, it becomes clear that this new map is likely centered around a large seaside hotel, a concept that aligns perfectly with Exodus Hotel imagery.

The text log indicates that the observer conducted their search at 6:06 PM, focusing on the hotel's exterior and interior. The grid ref is marked as tagged, and the content of the reporting scout has been redacted.

Additional details include the hotel's name (Panorama Azzurro), listed with a status of standby, along with a personal commentary from the observer.

ARC Raiders All Week 24 Trials | How to complete them and claim the rewards fast?
If you're not just playing the game but also keeping a close eye on every ARC Raiders update, you've likely noticed that the developers have released a teaser for the new map coming in Riven Tides update.

However, actually getting to experience it is still about two weeks away. For now, your focus should remain on the challenges right in front of you, specifically completing the latest round of weekly trials!

The five missions in Week 24 Trials are somewhat similar to last week's lineup, most require you to eliminate ARC enemies:
- Get hit by lightning
- Destroy ARC enemies in the swamp
- Damage Bastions
- Search supply drops
- Damage Comets

Trial 1: Get hit by lightning

This laughably uninspired mission is back again! When it first appeared, the community complained that it was boring and pointless; however, if you want to complete the weekly trials in full, there's simply no avoiding it.

The mission requires you to wait for an Electromagnetic Storm event to trigger on the map. Once it begins, you must actively seek out the blue circles on the ground, which mark the spots where lightning is about to strike, and stand inside them to get zapped.

To achieve a three-star rating on this trial, you'll need to keep moving across the map to locate new lightning strike zones and get hit sufficient times.

Of course, taking a lightning hit will deplete your health, so it's crucial to bring along plenty of healing supplies; otherwise, you might end up dying and being forced to abandon the trial halfway through.

Additionally, during an Electromagnetic Storm, the enemies on the map become more dangerous, but the loot you acquire, whether through combat or scavenging, also increases.

So, if you want to make this mission feel a bit more productive, try actively engaging any enemies you encounter while you're hunting for lightning strikes. This way, you can unlock extra loot through your raids while simultaneously earning your Trial rewards.

Trial 2: Destroy ARC enemies in the swamp

This mission requires you to enter Dam Battlegrounds map and eliminate ARC bots of any type within the designated swamp area. Once you've taken out a specific number of enemies, you'll achieve a perfect completion.

The specific zone in question is officially named South Swamp Outpost, located at the far western edge of the map. It's a location that naturally sees frequent spawns of ARC enemies.

Although the trial doesn't strictly require you to target specific enemy types, prioritizing the elimination of Rocketeers and Leapers will earn you more trial points.

Rocketeers are flying ARCs; the best strategy for dealing with them is to first find cover to evade their laser attacks, and then focus your fire on their two thrusters. Their exclusive drop is Rocketeer Driver.

Leapers are ground-based enemies that attack using shockwave pulses. They are extremely agile, so using grenades for direct bombardment is a highly effective tactic. Upon death, they drop materials such as Leaper Pulse Unit.

Trial 3: Damage Bastions

This ARC enemy type can appear on any map, though the spawn rate is slightly higher in more hazardous zones, such as Stella Montis.

Visually, Bastion resembles a bulkier, more massive version of Leaper; it is heavily armored, moves slowly, and attacks using a powerful Gatling gun.

Before spotting you and opening fire, a Bastion will emit a piercing shriek, followed by a three-second burst of Gatling gun fire. You must find cover in time to avoid this incoming barrage.

Of course, Bastions are not entirely indestructible. You can focus your fire on their yellow-colored weak points: the knee joints on all their legs, as well as the cylindrical canisters located on their backs.

Shooting these specific areas will briefly stun Bastion, creating a window for you to land more effective attacks. Furthermore, if the cylindrical canisters are destroyed, the armor plating on the enemy's back will detach, exposing its truly vulnerable internal core.

To maximize your kill efficiency, we recommend teaming up with friends to complete this mission. This way, you can all earn Trial Points simultaneously, it's a win-win situation!

Upon being killed, a Bastion drops a wide variety of crafting materials; among these is the exclusive Bastion Cell, which can be used to upgrade your Gear Bench or submitted for specific projects.

Trial 4: Search Supply Drops

Every map in ARC Raiders features at least one supply station. Here, you can locate and activate a special flare; within one minute of activation, a supply pod will be air-dropped into the area.

The objective of this trial is simply to secure and open a sufficient number of these supply pods. However, activating a flare also reveals your location to other players, potentially attracting hostile strangers looking to loot your drop, especially since these supply drops often contain valuable resources.

If you wish to avoid conflict, you can signal to others that you are merely there to complete a mission objective. However, if you are confident in your combat abilities, your best bet might be to simply drive them all away!

Trial 5: Damage Comets

This enemy was introduced to the game via Shrouded Sky update released in February of this year; generally speaking, it is still considered a relatively new enemy type.

Visually, it resembles a spherical orb. Its sole method of attack is self-destruction; more specifically, once it detects you, it will roll toward you at high speed and trigger its self-destruct sequence once it closes to a sufficient distance.

Although Comets may appear less sophisticated than most other ARC units, given that they have only one opportunity to inflict damage upon the player, they will actively adjust their positioning prior to detonation to ensure maximum damage output.

If you spot a Comet approaching early on, you can immediately toss a grenade to shatter its armor. This is particularly effective if Comet has begun charging up, as its outer shell will expand and split open, allowing you to directly target and strike its vulnerable internal components.

However, if you are unable to prevent Comet from detonating, your only hope is to pray that you are equipped with a Shield and that it is fully charged. Even under those circumstances, your health points will still take a significant hit.

It is worth noting that Comet's exclusive drop, Comet Igniter, can only be obtained by destroying the unit before it detonates, as the subsequent explosion will simultaneously obliterate the igniter itself.

Furthermore, starting with this new departure window, the development team intends to implement additional optimizations to Expedition gameplay mechanics.

Expedition 3 schedule

This expedition commenced immediately following the conclusion of Expedition 2 departure window on March 2nd.

What changes might be coming to expeditions?

Since its launch, expedition system has faced criticism for being too demanding while offering rewards that aren't sufficiently enticing. In response, ARC Raiders implemented some changes during Expedition 3; however, these adjustments were clearly not enough.

That said, for an extraction shooter, periodic resets are indeed a necessity; therefore, it becomes all the more crucial to optimize expedition system promptly based on player feedback.

New bugs that may soon be fixed

Among the various changes introduced by Flashpoint update, one notable addition is an upgrade to Scrappy: you can now influence the type of items it produces by feeding it specific foods.

Consequently, if you wish to obtain better topside materials, such as Rubber Parts, Fabric, or Chemicals, from Scrappy, you can do so by feeding it Fruit Mix.

This particular food item requires you to consume lemon, apricot, and prickly pear to craft, a process that becomes available only after unlocking In-Round Crafting skill.

However, a recent glitch has emerged where players are unable to craft Fruit Mix once they return to Speranza.

While this isn't a lethal bug (given that Scrappy isn't, after all, the primary source of loot), it nonetheless negatively impacts the gaming experience for a significant number of players.

Beyond exploits stemming from the game's own bugs, there are individuals who resort to using specialized devices or mods to gain an unfair advantage.

While bugs can be patched, other forms of cheating can only be combated through specialized plugins or devices. The unfortunate reality, however, is that these anti-cheat systems are not always sophisticated enough, leading to instances of false bans.

This issue is particularly distressing for players with disabilities who rely on specialized external peripherals to play the game; they have, regrettably, become the primary victims of these erroneous bans.

Over the past few weeks, ARC Raiders team has been working diligently to address this issue. Regrettably, they have yet to find a definitive, permanent solution; for the time being, the only recourse available is to provide a follow-up response to players once they have filed an appeal.

Another rather noticeable in-game bug occurs when you equip Vanguard Set, introduced in Patch 1.23.0, causing your character to go haywire.

Specifically, the various cosmetic components of the set will flail wildly and drift erratically across the screen; not only does this look unsightly and bizarre, but it also obstructs a portion of the player's field of view.

Even more frustrating is that if this bug is triggered by another player equipping Vanguard Set, there is absolutely nothing you can do through any in-game action to fix or avoid it yourself.

Until this issue is resolved, your only recourse is to simply avoid equipping the set, though admittedly, it does boast a very appealing aesthetic. Fortunately, the development team has confirmed that this bug will be addressed in an upcoming patch.
