Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.4.0 Ancestral Bear Titan Build Guide | How to Craft and Utilize?

While each PoE 2 class has its representative skills, sometimes classes with similar playstyles can be combined to craft surprising and powerful new builds by mixing and matching their signature abilities.
Based on this, after Druid was released in patch 0.4.0, Warrior and Monk classes, both melee-focused, also benefited greatly from its hybrid melee-strength playstyle.
This guide will introduce Ancestral Bear Titan Build, crafted by combining one of Warrior's Ascendancies, Titan, with Druid's bear form skills. If you're interested, please continue reading!

Ancestral Bear Titan Build Overview
This build features powerful slams, capable of dealing large AoE damage in melee range, and performs well in both damage output and skill speed, effectively mitigating the inherent clumsiness of the bear form.
Its damage output is primarily physical damage, allowing you to continuously stun enemies that have been hit, making it particularly effective against mechanics that occur in enclosed areas, such as Ritual or Abyss.
The disadvantage of this build is that to ensure its overall fluidity, its damage bonus is slightly lower than other mainstream Titan builds in the current league. However, you can choose to buy PoE 2 currency to roll gear affixes to compensate for this.
How does this build work?
The core of this build's functionality lies in the design of its transformation skills, some of which have increased cast times under different preconditions, such as transforming from the wolf form to bear form, or whether the bear is already standing before using a skill.
For example, when using the main damage skill, Furious Slam, there is a 0.4-second cast time if you transform into the bear form; if you don't stand up promptly after transforming into a bear, another 0.4 seconds will be added.
Fortunately, these delays can be avoided through weapon switching techniques, but more importantly, by using Ferocious Roar to make yourself stand up faster as a bear - this skill has extremely high warcry speed and skill speed bonuses.
Let's return to Furious Slam. This skill consumes 10 Rage to empower the slam, dealing higher damage, creating a larger base area of effect, and generating jagged ground.
Based on this, Ferocious Roar provides Rage based on the number of enemies within range, and generates even more Rage when paired with the support gem Raging Cry. Additionally, you can bypass the warcry's cooldown by consuming a portion of Rage.
Bonuses provided by Titan
As another important component of this build, Ascendancy class Titan provides significant AoE bonuses through its exclusive skill Hulking Form, due to your frequent use of slams.
Next, unlocking Ancestral Empowerment allows each slam to deal 30% extra damage and provide a 25% AoE increase, while Fist of War III doubles these bonuses - which is why the final build's effect can cover the entire battlefield.
Another essential unlock is Walking Calamity, which continues to generate Rage even when Rage is full, earning you glory points. Therefore, you can easily generate enough Rage simply by using warcries, keeping this skill constantly active.
This allows you to quickly clear mobs with Walking Calamity, while simultaneously gaining powerful buffs, as well as fire damage and Rage generation bonuses.
Which items should you equip?
First, you should add Lightning Coil Ancestral Mail, which makes your armor more effective against remaining physical damage after a portion of physical damage is converted to lightning damage and mitigated by resistance.
More importantly, you can utilize this to generate frenzy charges through charm configuration, and then adjust the charges to gain skill speed bonuses.
Next, you can add Amor Mandragora Changeling Talisman as your second weapon, which grants you Druidic Prowess by consuming Rage - each stack provides a 10% skill speed bonus, stacking up to three times.
The last piece of gear worth adding is the flask Lavianga's Spirit. It cannot be actively activated, but passively provides a significant amount of mana regeneration.
In fact, the entire build's mana sustain primarily relies on mana leech. Therefore, mana consumption isn't crucial when attacking monsters, but having additional passive mana regeneration is still helpful.
More gear options
Besides the items mentioned above, you need to further refine your gear choices. For this, we recommend focusing on gear that provides health and resistances in the early game, and then focusing more on armor in the later stages.
However, you must ensure that your rings or gloves have life leech, as both life leech and mana leech are essential affixes for this build to address health and mana sustain.
As for weapons, Maji Talisman is ideal because it provides extra maximum Rage. Then you need to roll affixes that increase physical damage or gain attack speed bonuses through Omens.
Weapon switching techniques
While we suggested Ferocious Roar as the primary way to reduce transformation skill cooldowns, it's also important to learn how to do this by switching weapons.
You need to invest talent points in your second weapon set for war cry speed and other buffs to accumulate rage faster and use Walking Calamity. Meanwhile, all talent points in your main weapon set should be used to increase attack damage and range.
That's the main information about Ancestral Bear Titan Build. If you're interested in this style of build, give it a try!
