There are many ways to level up in MapleStory Classic World. While grinding monsters is generally the most substantial and consistent source of XP, you might be tempted to overlook the vast majority of quests due to their tedious nature or meager rewards.
However, completely ignoring quests results in a significant waste of resources. There are plenty of quests that offer high returns and are easy to complete; the real challenge lies in filtering them out from the overwhelming list of available tasks.
Don't worry, though, we have created a guide specifically to help you identify high-XP quests suitable for different leveling stages.

Which quests are worth doing?
Leveling in MSCW is all about speed and efficiency. The quests we've selected are guaranteed to be worth your time based on their rewards; we've excluded any that require excessive travel, offer poor rewards, or disrupt your grinding rhythm.
Additionally, some quests require specific MapleStory Classic World items for completion. We will outline strategies and routes for stockpiling these items in advance, saving you from backtracking and wasting time.
Level 1-10
Reaching Level 7 is easy; simply complete all the starting quests on Maple Island. Afterward, take the ship to Lith Harbor and speak with Olaf to pick up quests like Olaf's First Training and Teo's Weird Hobby.
These quests usually require you to defeat specific monsters, such as Slimes, and turn in the resulting loot. While you can do this around Lith Harbor, the area is often crowded with players, so traveling to nearby maps for combat is recommended.
After finishing the combat objectives, don't rush to turn in the materials immediately. Continue exploring the surrounding area until you hit Level 10, then return to Lith Harbor to hand everything in at once.

Next, you can use taxis to travel between towns on Victoria Island and pick up all available Level 10 quests before choosing your first job.
It is worth noting that beginners receive a 90% discount on taxi fares, so be sure to take advantage of this. If you still run short on funds after the discount, you can always choose MSCW Mesos for sale to resolve the issue.
Additionally, we recommend setting your taxi destination to the city where you plan to complete your first job advancement. Once you arrive, simply enter a map that offers a good variety of monsters suitable for your quest requirements and start farming.
After completing most of Level 10 quests, you will likely reach Level 11. Be sure to turn in these quests to unlock the next quest chain.

Level 11-20
This stage begins in Henesys; after speaking with Bruce, travel to Perion and speak to Ion to accept Fixing Blackbull's House and continue the quest chain. Any leaves and branches you collected earlier will come in handy now.
Next, travel to Kerning City and start I'm Bored 1 & 2 quests; both are very quick to complete. When you reach Level 12, skip Citizenship quest for now and return to it at Level 13. Once finished, speak to Louis in Henesys Free Market to start new quest chain.
Completing quests in this order saves a significant amount of time. Since these tasks involve only quick conversations with NPCs rather than combat, you can unlock substantial rewards, such as XP and mesos, efficiently.
By this point, you should have reached Level 15. You could unlock Pia and the Blue Mushroom and Alex's Request at Levels 16 and 18 respectively, but we recommend saving them until Level 20 to complete alongside Jane and the Mushroom, thereby minimizing travel time between maps.
Level 21-30
Upon reaching Level 21 in MapleStory Classic World, a long quest chain becomes available. However, it involves killing Zombie Mushrooms, a task that is too difficult for a Level 21 character, so it is best to save it until you reach Level 25.
At Level 23, you can start Stranger's Request quest at Kerning City hospital. The first part of the quest requires killing Stirges and collecting Broken Mirror Glass; completing this in a party is much more efficient.
The second part requires you to collect Zombie Mushrooms; since you should have reached Level 25 through combat by this point, you can complete this alongside the questline that unlocked at Level 21.
Level 31-40
Upon reaching Level 31, you can begin the Icarus's Hang Glider and Icarus and the Balloon quests; the key is to stick to your planned route while gathering materials.
At Level 32, you can start Mr. Wetbottom's questline for the Blue & Red Sandals. However, you might hit a roadblock when the quest requires you to deal with Level 37 Lupins. It is best to pause here and return to finish the rest once you reach Level 37.
Cursed Dolls questline is relatively straightforward and reliable, becoming available at Level 36. However, the target monster, Zombie Lupin, is Level 41, so it is recommended that you wait until you are Level 40 or higher before attempting it.
Completing this quest rewards you with tens of thousands of XP, a large amount of ore, a Level 40 helmet, and attack-boosting scrolls.
Starting at Level 37, you can pick up all four MSCW Florina Beach quests. These are simple item-collection tasks involving monsters ranging from Level 37 to 49, such as Lupins, Lorangs, and Clangs.
Level 41-50
Once your MapleStory Classic World character reaches Level 41, you can resume the previously unfinished Icarus questline.
Most of this quest series involves talking to NPCs, though there is a segment that requires material gathering. After speaking with Icarus, he will direct you to Wing the Fairy, who will ask you to collect 50 Medicine with Weird Vibes and some Witchgrass.
Rather than wandering aimlessly, we recommend repeatedly farming monsters on one or two specific MSCW maps. This allows you to defeat monsters and gather materials simultaneously, maximizing your XP gain efficiency.
Once you reach level 50, earning XP through quests is no longer the primary way to level up; instead, you should focus on tackling more challenging battles. Good luck reaching the level cap!
