Recently, discussions about Grand Theft Auto VI have reached a fever pitch, with leaks and speculation flooding social media. However, after two delays, the developers have finally officially confirmed the highly anticipated open-world adventure game's release date as November 19, 2026. Hopefully, there won't be any further delays!
Frankly, GTA 6 is arguably the most expensive project in Take-Two Interactive's history. The enormous cost stems from a long and complex development cycle, including a 13-year wait for GTA V and pandemic-related delays. Reports indicate that the game's total cost, including marketing, even exceeds that of many Hollywood blockbusters.
Given the massive investment and the long wait, the changes must be revolutionary, not just in terms of graphics, story, or technology, but more importantly, in terms of events, tasks, and the everyday routines we're familiar with in open-world games.
Based on current leaks, GTA 6 clearly integrates a realistic environment well into the game, so there will undoubtedly be plenty of daily activities and part-time jobs for players to complete. Therefore, today we'll discuss various activities that might appear in Grand Theft Auto VI based on current trailers and leaks, ranging from fishing and gambling to robberies. These activities will make the streets of Vice City feel vibrant and realistic, ensuring the game remains engaging even after completing the main and side missions.

Fishing
First, I want to introduce one of the most likely activities - fishing. Almost everyone believes this activity will definitely be included in GTA VI upon release, as official screenshots have shown Jason and his friend Cal Hampton on a boat. This almost certainly confirms that GTA 6 will include a fishing mini-game.
Therefore, we can reasonably speculate that GTA 6 will have a more advanced fishing system than Red Dead Redemption 2. You might have customizable fishing rods and bait, build your own fishing boat and equip it with various gear, go fishing with friends - the possibilities are endless. So look forward to a fun and engaging fishing mini-game in State of Leonidas.

Cage Fighting
While Jason is fishing, what's his partner Lucia doing? The current trailer shows her executing a roundhouse kick inside the cage, so she might be doing something never before seen in GTA series - cage fighting.
Frankly, the melee system in GTA 5 is far inferior to The Ballad of Gay Tony in GTA 4. There are fewer moves, almost no combos, and counterattacks are scarce, making everything feel stiff and outdated. While GTA isn't a pure fighting game, that doesn't mean we can't have a great melee system. The addition of cage fighting adds depth to the existing combat system, making the gameplay more tactical than the previous button-mashing system.
In Grand Theft Auto VI, cage fighting aims to deepen player immersion, enhance melee combat mechanics, and provide a high-risk, high-reward side hustle in Vice City. Based on the trailer analysis, Cage Fighting will probably showcase a more refined combat system, utilizing RAGE engine to create more realistic, brutal, and strategic martial arts moves. As an important part of Vice City's underground culture, cage fighting also adds realism to the game environment.

Gambling
In addition, GTA VI's documentation reveals a section called Open World Activities, which includes dice rolling. Therefore, gambling will be a major feature of the game. Considering that the game already has a complete casino, this shouldn't be surprising.
With dice, there will inevitably be poker, slot machines, and horse racing. Get ready to squander your drug money in Vice City's luxurious casinos, stay up all night gambling, and lose a fortune.
Water Activities
The following activities are all water-based.
The first is jet skiing. As shown in the official trailer, Jason drives a jet ski with Lucia on the back, theoretically similar to riding a shark in GTA 5. There haven't been any official jet ski events or competitions yet, so it would be really interesting if they added some side quests related to jet skis, or gave players a special skill for driving boats and jet skis.

The second water activity is kayaking. You'll sit in a small fiberglass boat with only a paddle, navigating extremely dangerous rapids, waterfalls, and canyons - one wrong move and you're dead! So don't think this is just a boring sightseeing activity.
The last activity is diving. Considering State of Leonidas has so many reefs, archipelagos, and lakes, this activity is naturally something many players are looking forward to. Since GTA V already has a lot of diving content, with players even searching for treasure underwater, we speculate that GTA 6 will probably take the diving experience to a whole new level, definitely something to look forward to.
Offroad Races
Offroad Races also look like they will be an important part of GTA 6. This isn't just a simple hill climb on Mount Kalaga; there's also a huge mud race near the swamp, and we can even have sled rallies on the mud, and perhaps even hovercraft races.
The game features extensive vehicle customization and diverse, challenging terrain, making off-road vehicles and trucks more important than ever before. You can experience the thrill of speeding through different natural environments and dodging obstacles along the way! This will definitely excite all car enthusiasts.
Robbery
Finally, there's robbery. You walk up to someone, point a gun at their face, and demand their wallet. Or you can walk into a store and tell the clerk to put the money in a bag if they don't want to be shot dead.
While store robberies existed in GTA V, they're too easy for now. Therefore, GTA 6's robbery system is expected to be more advanced, perhaps even incorporating hacking techniques. Lucia and Jason might need to carry USB drives full of malware or signal jammers to prevent them from immediately calling the police after breaking into someone's house or store.

Regardless, mark November 19, 2026 on your calendar! Grand Theft Auto VI officially arrives in State of Leonidas, bringing an unprecedented immersive open-world experience, from a deeply customized fishing system to a brutal new cage fighting system, making Vice City more vibrant than ever before!
