EA FC 26 The Greatest Show Objective Guide | How to Finish Every Task in Squad Battles?
Category: FC 26 Posted: Jul 18, 2026 Views: 24
EA FC 26 released its Summer Stars players on July 17, alongside a solid batch of EVOs, SBCs, and Objectives. The Greatest Show Objectives feature tasks that are somewhat intricate, but the rewards are well worth the effort.
You will need to complete 10 matches in any game mode while meeting several specific conditions. With the most efficient approach, you can quickly tick off a series of in-game targets.

The Greatest Show Objective Tasks
All tasks for The Greatest Show Objective can be completed in any Ultimate Team mode, including Solo, Online, and Event matches.
| Tasks | Specific Requirements |
|---|---|
| Play 10 | Complete 10 matches in any mode |
| Win 5 | Win 5 games while including at least 1 Belgian player in your squad. |
| 5 Clean Sheets | Finish 5 matches without conceding a goal, with at least 1 Cape Verdean player in your squad. |
| Assists 6 Through Balls | Record 6 assists via through balls, with at least 1 Spanish player in your squad. |
| Score 4 Headers | Net 4 headed goals while including at least 1 English player. |
| Assists 5 Cross | Register 5 assists from crosses, with at least 1 Moroccan player in your squad. |
| Score 5 Low Driven | Hit 5 low-driven goals with at least 1 Norwegian player in your squad. |
| Score 5 Finesse | Convert 5 finesse shots with at least 1 Argentine player in your squad. |
| Score 5 Outside Box | Score 5 goals from outside the box with at least 1 French player in your squad. |
After completing all the above tasks, you will receive 25 Futties Tokens, 1,000 Season XP, a free player, untradeable packs, evolutions, and more. Among these rewards, 95 OVR Mikel Oyarzabal Ugarte Summer Stars card comes with 4 Playstyle+ traits and is a very powerful player.
During Summer Stars Promo, there are many players even better than 95 OVR Mikel Oyarzabal who can be obtained through card packs or the transfer market, but this requires a lot of coins. You can join in FC 26 Summer Stars giveaways on IGGM Discord, and you'll have the chance to share FC 26 coins with other winners.
How to Build Your Squad?
To efficiently progress through multiple objectives in parallel, you need to assemble a mixed squad that covers all the required nationalities. A 4-3-3 formation is recommended because it includes wingers, which makes it easier to complete the two most challenging tasks: crosses and headers.
You will need 8 players of the required nationalities, leaving 3 free slots for any other players:
- France ×1 (goals from Outside Box)
- Norway ×1 (Low Driven Goals)
- Argentina ×1 (Finesse Goals)
- Spain ×1 (Through Ball Assists)
- Belgium ×1 (Wins)
- England ×1 (Headers)
- Morocco ×1 (Cross Assists)
- Cape Verde ×1 (Clean Sheets)
You do not need to over-optimise for player position chemistry, because you will only be playing 1-2 matches at Beginner difficulty, where chemistry and positional familiarity have very little effect.
Opponent Selection
It is recommended to complete these tasks in Squad Battles mode with the difficulty set to Beginner. Avoid repeatedly facing French national team, because even at Beginner difficulty, France's tall central defenders will frequently intercept crosses and hamper your heading efficiency.
In Squad Battles, you can refresh the opponent list until you find a very weak side, for instance one with a low overall rating and very low chemistry. This will maximise your attacking success rate.
If you are still pushing for Squad Battles ranking points, be cautious with this method, since winning at Beginner difficulty awards very few points. You may prefer to complete these Objective sprints after finishing your weekly refresh matches.
Headers
Crossing from outside the box reduces accuracy, and defenders are reasonably strong in aerial duels, so combining crosses with headers can be tricky. It is advisable to separate the header task from the cross-assist task.
You can dribble into the penalty area, move close to the byline near the side of the six-yard box, and use a Lobbed Pass to lift the ball toward the back-post area. Your striker (preferably a tall centre-forward) will then head the ball into an empty net with little opposition. This method works very easily at Beginner difficulty and does not rely on precise wide crossing.
Finesse Shots and Goals from Outside Box
These two tasks can be completed in a single attacking move. Simply dribble to just outside the edge of the penalty area, aim for the far or near post, and charge the shot to about 2.5 to 3 bars of power. Then use the finesse shot.
Repeat this process 5 times, and you will simultaneously achieve both 5 finesse goals and 5 goals from outside the box. At Beginner difficulty, AI goalkeeper reacts slowly, so these shots have a very high success rate.
Through Ball Assists and Low Driven
These two tasks can also be done together. Note that the player providing the through-ball assist does not have to be Spanish; you only need a Spanish player on the pitch somewhere in your squad.
After winning the ball in midfield, use a through ball to send a teammate running into space. Once the receiver is through on goal, finish with a low-driven shot. Repeat this 6 times to complete both tasks at once.
Cross Assists
Some players have reported that cross assists do not register, and the issue usually lies in the crossing zone. Your cross must originate from outside the penalty area or from near the byline at the touchline, with the ball being delivered into the box.
If you cross from inside the area or right on the edge, the game will treat it as a Lobbed Pass rather than a cross, even if you use the same button, and it will not count toward the objective.
Many players mistakenly believe that a cross assist requires a first-time finish from the receiver. That is incorrect. As long as the assist comes from a cross, the receiver can take any amount of time to control and shoot, and it will still count.
A Low Driven Cross is recommended because it travels faster and stays low, making it easier for the receiver to control and increasing the subsequent shooting success rate compared to high crosses.
You can perform a Low Driven Cross from the wide area just outside the box, let the receiving player stop and adjust, then score to complete the cross-assist task.
Remaining Objectives
The other targets do not involve goals or assists; they simply require you to finish matches:
- Keep 5 Clean Sheets: Continue in Squad Battles at Beginner difficulty and ensure you do not concede.
- Win 5 Games: This can be achieved naturally while keeping clean sheets, or you can switch to other modes.
- Play 10: After completing all the above goals, choose the shortest mode to grind out the remaining games.
If you grow tired of Squad Battles, you can also choose other modes such as Festival of Football Ultimate Festival Tournament, Live Events, or PvP matches against other players. As long as you meet the requirements, progress will count, though Beginner-difficulty Squad Battles remain the fastest option.
By following these steps, you can finish all tasks within just a few matches at Beginner difficulty. If you find this too dull, you can always team up with a friend for a more enjoyable session.
