  Andreas Iniesta is one of the previously announced Debut Icon players. Although he currently holds the highest overall rating, this card will not be upgraded from 86 OVR to 92 OVR until November. Similar to Zlatan Ibrahimović, these starting Icon cards are bonuses for pre-order players and cannot be traded for FC 26 coins.

  Mohamed Salah

  Mohamed Salah's previous overall rating was 89, but with a two-point increase, he now effectively becomes one of the highest-rated players.

  Recent news about Salah has focused on his contract renewal with Liverpool and his personal accolades. Salah rejected a £500 million contract offer from a Saudi club and opted to remain at Anfield. He signed a two-year contract extension with Liverpool Football Club in April 2025. To retain this key player, Liverpool broke with their previous practice of not offering long-term contracts to players over 30.

  This feature is for PlayStation and Xbox players. If you use either platform but your device isn't the latest, such as PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, Dual Entitlement allows you to upgrade to PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S for free.

  This means, if you want to test how the game performs on different device versions, or plan to switch devices after FC 26's release, Dual Entitlement will allow you to seamlessly switch between versions for flexible gameplay.

  It's important to note that with this feature, EA FC 26's matchmaking is based on your game version, not just your device, to ensure a consistent experience and competitive balance across all generations.

  For example, if you're playing on PS4 or Xbox One, you'll be matched with other players playing the same version. However, if you're playing on PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, you'll only be matched with players using the next-generation version.

  Who Is This Feature Suitable For?

  First, regardless of whether you own the ultimate edition or the standard edition, digitally or physically, EA Sports FC 26 offers Dual Entitlement.

  However, if you plan to own the physical version, your next-generation console must have a disc drive to redeem the upgrade.

  Furthermore, Dual Entitlement only works within the same console family; cross-platform upgrades are not supported. This means you can only transfer from PS4 to PS5, or from Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S.

  

  How Do You Get This Feature?

  If you already own FUT 26 on a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, you can upgrade to a compatible next-generation console when you get one.

  Can Game Progress Be Shared Between Different Console Versions?

  If you own devices of different generations, you might want to play FC 26 on both consoles for some reason, so you might be wondering if progress can be shared between them.

  The answer is yes, but it depends on the game mode. For Ultimate Team, as long as you're logged into the same EA account, your earned FC 26 coins, earned players, items, and leaderboard rankings are transferable between console generations.

  However, progress in other FIFA 26 game modes cannot be transferred or shared; you can only play them independently and save your progress locally on the corresponding console.
