Category: CoD: Black Ops 7 Posted: Jan 09, 2026 Views: 2799

CoD BO7 Season 1 Reload is now live, and the highlight is undoubtedly its collaboration with Fallout. Its setting is perfectly suited to Zombies mode, and inspired by it, the new limited-time Zombies mode is exceptionally fun. Let's take a look at the details of this Zombies mode update.

CoD BO7 Season 1 Reload Fallout Zombies Mode Guide | How To Summon Irradiated Deathclaw?

New Content

Call of Duty BO7 Season 1 Reload Zombies mode update focuses on three areas:

  • Astra Malorum Directed Mode
  • Survival Map: Zarya Cosmodrome
  • New Fallout LTM

Astra Malorum's Directed Mode is now officially live. For players who have been waiting to try the easter egg quest, now is the time. Completing the guided mode will also reward you with new rewards, including Cosmic Repair operator skin for Grey and 5000 XP.

In addition to Exit 115, which was released a few weeks ago, Zarya Cosmodrome has also been added to the game in this update. This is a very cool game space, designed to be narrow, compact, and somewhat claustrophobic.

Players who survive to rounds 10, 25, and 50 will receive rewards, including a free Wonder Weapon, a Charm, a Symbolic Animated Emblem, a symbolic animated emblem, and 1000 XP.

As for the new Fallout LTM, it's the most interesting part of this update, and its gameplay and Easter eggs will be introduced separately below.

Fallout LTM

Limited Time Mode: Ghoul Infection

This mode is similar to Infected, with 24 players competing against Glowing Ghouls. Defeating enemies grants level-ups. Unfortunate Vault Dwellers who are eliminated transform into Feral Ghouls and fight against other players.

Limited Time Mode: Project RADS

This mode takes place in Ashes of the Damned and Astra Malorum, replacing the usual zombies with Feral Ghouls, and featuring the classic Fallout monster, Deathclaw, as a mini-boss.

The core change in this mode revolves around a brand-new Radiation levels system. Players have a continuously accumulating Radiation meter. The higher the meter, the more ferocious Growling Ghouls' attacks become.

Radiation Levels

When Radiation levels reach their maximum, the character enters a near-death state. Your health continuously decreases, movement speed slows, damage is reduced, and your Perk-a-Colas become unstable or even malfunction.

There are six Radiation levels. As the level increases, the operator will suffer severe negative effects:

  • Level 1: No obvious negative effects.
  • Level 2: Reduced movement speed.
  • Level 3 Reduced weapon damage.
  • Level 4 Exposure: Field Upgrade charges are frozen, making it unusable.
  • Level 5 Exposure: Health slowly and continuously decreases.
  • Extreme Exposure: Triggered upon picking up a Nuke, this will remove all your perks. Avoid this at all costs.

Items

Automatic health regeneration in normal zombie mode is completely disabled. Players can only restore health by picking up and consuming food dropped on the map. Radiation levels can also be reduced by using items.

  • Food Items: Restore health, but are irdiated. Consuming them increases health but also raises your radiation level.
  • Bottle Caps: Replace Essence as the universal currency in this mode. Obtained by killing zombies.
  • Radiation-X: A small vial that reduces your current radiation level. A crucial item for survival.
  • Radiation Away: A limited-time powerful power-up that immediately removes all radiation from all players in the game upon pickup.

Game Changes

Upon entering the game, players will immediately experience a dramatic change in the environment. Most zombie models have been replaced with fast-moving Feral Ghouls; attacking or being hit by them will increase your radiation level.

The biggest challenge in the early game is resource scarcity. Due to slow score gain, unlocking map areas and purchasing starting weapons becomes extremely difficult. Given the mode's high penalties, it's recommended to prioritize survival when choosing equipment and Augments.

In the early to mid-game rounds, try to avoid picking up food. While it restores health, the risk of increasing your radiation level is much higher; prioritize using stim shots and healing skills to maintain your Augments.

As you progress to higher rounds, the pressure of combat increases dramatically, and Deathclaws appear more frequently. Although they have high health, weapons upgraded with Pack-a-Punch can deal with them relatively effectively.

It's worth noting that Nukes become deadly traps in this mode, and you should absolutely avoid picking them up.

Irradiated Deathclaw

On both maps, there's a hidden mini-mission that summons a special elite, high-value target: Irradiated Deathclaw. Defeating it rewards a large amount of XP, exclusive calling cards, and a huge loot pool.

You need to collect 10 Fallout Boy trophies on the map in a single game. Once you've collected them all, Irradiated Deathclaw will automatically spawn. You can familiarize yourself with their locations beforehand using CoD Black Ops 7 Bot Lobbies.

Ashes of the Damned Locations:

  • Top of the vending machine in Janus Towers, the spawn point.
  • Basement in the farm area, on the ground next to the execution chair.
  • Inside the farmhouse, under the main table.
  • On the small boat opposite the armor trading post in Blackwater Lake area.
  • On the kitchen shelf of Blackwater Lake cabin.
  • Inside Klaus's cell in Ashwood area.
  • Near the Ashwood zipline, on the road from GobbleGum Machine to Juggernog Machine.
  • Inside the auto repair shop on the road leading to Cosmodrome.
  • In front of Exit 115, within the circle illuminated by truck headlights.
  • On the platform below Cosmodrome rocket.

Astra Malorum Locations:

  • On the pillar to the left of Quick Revive coda fountain in the spawn area.
  • On top of the bookshelf within Juggernog coda fountain area.
  • On the shelf in Speed Cola area.
  • Below the edge of Saturn View.
  • In Pack-a-Punch room, on a crate in the back left corner.
  • In the window on the door of Stamina area.
  • In the library, under the table next to Stamina coda fountain.
  • Near Mars Portal, on a small table behind the scaffolding.
  • (Mars) On the altar in the center of the arena.
  • (Mars) On the toilet in the area piled with humanoid objects in the left corner behind the arena.

The above are the key points of CoD BO7 Season 1 Reload Zombies mode update. The Irradiated Deathclaw deals relatively high damage, and if you want to challenge it, you'd better stay at Exposure level 1.
