Some time ago, we mentioned in the news that the hacker program attacked the players' inventory of Fallout 76 and left the players naked. According to the previous situation, no one could get back the lost items, but in the recent post, Bethesda has promised that those hack victims will get items back and in-game currency about one month later.
One day last month, someone suddenly posted a video on Reddit reporting that the attackers literally steal the clothes off other players' backs, and now, Bethesda has found a way to make the affected players whole again.
The compensation method of Bethesda is starting to trickle out, it has restored "a clone of your character with a modified nam" to the affected players' accounts, "who" has the entire inventory of items, gear, and scrap possessed on December 20, 2019. After that, all the affected players are also able to make a "secure trade" from the clone to their original character through a private server, and Bethesda will provide help and support to the customers during the process.
What a pity is that Bethesda can't just place items directly in people's inventories, and must instead resort to surreal and fiddly trades between players and employees wearing the skin of their past selves.
Beyond that, Bethesda issues some in-game currency Atoms in order to apologize to the affected players, allowing players to purchase more in-game items.
This is not the first time that Fallout 76 has been attacked by hackers, Bethesda also spent a lot of time and energy to repair the technical and security issues in those games and compensate the players for the inconvenience caused in the process, so it can be trusted that Fallout 76 will do better in blocking major hacking attacks.
Beyond the Atoms, Fallout 76 Bottle Caps also is an important in-game currency, many players have lost some high-value items due to hacking programs. IGGM is a shop that can make up for the lack of Caps for players, and it won't take up too much game time, and all the currency is absolutely safe, which will definitely make online shopping easier and faster.
