To do this, you need to travel to Eastern Vermillius Gap Anvil tradepost, where there are two NPCs representing each house. Talk to them to start the faction quest. After completing the quest, you will be loyal to the selected faction and gain access to Landsraad.

It is worth noting that you must and can only swear allegiance to one house. Although you can change your mind during or after completing the quest, it will increase the difficulty of joining the new house.

In addition, in order to ensure that joining Landsraad is useful to you, you’d better make sure that your character can handle the difficulty of Deep Desert, especially PVP mode, because most of the contracts and quests that Landsraad will require you to handle are in this area.

How Does Landsraad Work?

Once you have successfully joined a house, you will see a Landsraad sub-tab when you open the Social tab in the UI, and you can click into that to view Landsraad notice board.

The notice board will present you with 25 different quests/contracts that you can perform based on the faction you belong to, and upon completion you will receive rewards such as Dune Awakening Solari.

Most of these quests involve delivering resources to representatives of different factions, as there are other factions in the game besides the Atreides and Harkonnen. When any house and its guild completes a quest, they will claim themselves as a lower house.

All About Guilds

How To Complete Landsraad Mission?

How To Switch Factions?

Switching From Harkonnen To Atreides

If you are a member of Harkonnen and you want to join Atreides, then it’s simple, you need to fly to Arrakeen, which is the social hub for all Atreides players.

As soon as you load up here, you can go all the way to the left side of the map, and you’ll see a guy with a table with all kinds of trade flags and other things hanging on it, Lt. Tolliver, he will be your new leader. You need to complete a lot of tasks for them here to show them that you want to defect.

Next, you need to talk to this NPC. If you are currently a member of Harkonnen, you can show him that you want to defect to Atreides faction. However, there will be a warning window popping up telling you that you can only defect once, and if you do, Harkonnen will ban you from ever going back.

Switching From Atreides To Harkonnen

However, if you are from Atreides faction and want to become a Harkonnen member, you must go to Harko Village, which is a gathering place for all players of the same faction.

Near the entrance of Harko Village, you can find a faction representative to help you switch factions opposite Harkonnen Vendor.

After talking to him, you can betray your current faction and switch to Harkonnen. However, a warning window will pop up to inform you of the consequences of betraying a faction.

In addition to this, you should also know that before you switch, you’d better keep any customization you get in faction trading, and make sure you get any exclusive items you want in your current faction, because usually these items will be doubled in price when they are obtained from the perspective of the opposing faction. How To Improve Faction Rank As Soon As Possible?

After we switch factions, you still need to reach the top five ranks as soon as possible and complete all quest lines, and then you will get a new contract. It’s not easy to get to the highest reputation, it’s a long quest line. But if you do it the way I do it, you will rank up as fast as possible.

In my case, if I want to defect to the Harkonnen faction and level up as quickly as possible, I just need to kill a group of Sandflies at Sandfly base and loot the information log lying on the floor.

Then, we have to go back to Harko Village, give the stolen items to Piter de Vries, and give the false information to the NPC of Atreides faction.

Next, we go back to Arrakeen and find Atreides member who originally stood on one side. Now, we have to betray him before their eyes before we can return to Harko Village and speak to Piter de Vries to complete the contract.
