Views: 1258With the release of the three raids and Arena Season 1, TBC Classic Anniversary Phase 1 experience has finally reached its climax. However, priorities must be met, because you can't experience all the new content at once.
Of the three Phase 1 raids, Karazhan, while the most challenging, is also the largest and offers the richest rewards, so you and your teammates might prefer to complete it first.
The challenge lies in the fact that Karazhan has a whopping 12 bosses. Clearing them all will definitely delay your exploration of other raids. Fortunately, aside from the two bosses and the encounters, the rest of Karazhan content is optional.
Below, we'll introduce the four must-complete items in Karazhan raid in the game's prescribed order to help you complete it faster.
Boss Moroes
This boss appears second in Karazhan raid. Besides himself, Moroes has four companions who will fight alongside him. These guests are all from Noble House of Darkshire, and there are six of them in total. The four who appear each time are randomly selected.
This means that in this boss battle, you need to defeat five enemies, each with their own unique skills. Moroes and all members of Noble House of Darkshire, along with their abilities, are as follows:
Moroes:
- Vanish

Baroness Dorothea Millstipe:
- Mana Burn
- Mind Flay
- Shadow Word: Pain
Lady Catriona Von'Indi:

- Cleanse
- Divine Shield

We generally recommend defeating the four guests in the following order, depending on the specific boss that appears, before facing Moroes:

- Lord Robin Daris
- Lord Crispin Ference
After defeating all the bosses in this round, you will receive TBC Classic Anniversary gold and specific gear such as Moroes' Lucky Pocket Watch as rewards, and you will also unlock the next battle.
Opera Event
This event appears to be an encounter, but it is actually one of the weekly rotating bosses in Karazhan raid.
Opera Event unlocks after you defeat Moroes. The boss lineup consists of three groups: Wizard of Oz, The Big Bad Wolf, and Romulo & Julianne. Which group you encounter each week depends on the rotation order.
Once the team members are determined, any member can find the stage manager of Karazhan Barnes to start Opera Event.
Wizard of Oz
This encounter consists of 6 mini-bosses, each with their own unique skills. We list the lineup and skills in the optimal defeat order as follows:
Dorothee:

Tito:
- Annoying Yipping
Roar:
- Shred Armor
- Mangle
Strawman:
- Brain Bash

Tinhead:

The Crone:

The Big Bad Wolf
This group has only one boss, the wolf itself. The key to defeating this boss is for all players to constantly pay attention to and protect teammates affected by Red Riding Hood debuff, and healers must provide timely healing. Additional boss skills include:

Romulo & Julianne
The third group of Opera Event bosses consists of Romulo and Julianne. They will attack separately in phases, and then attack together at the end. Specific skills include:

Boss The Curator
In sequence, The Curator is the fifth boss in Karazhan raid. During this boss fight, Flare Phase and Evocation Phase alternate. After the boss casts 10 Astral Flares in the previous phase, he enters the other phase.
In addition, when The Curator's health drops to 15%, he enters an additional Enrage Phase. During this phase, he will not cast Astral Flares, but he will deal more damage and use Hateful Bolt more frequently.

Chess Event
This is a boss battle that combines fun and challenge, as it's played like a chess game, with pieces battling it out, but the difficulty is no less than a real battle.
To achieve victory, you need to understand the unique abilities of each piece and, based on that, ensure your team members use the correct pieces.
After speaking with NPC Echo of Medivh, he will become your opponent and initiate Chess Event. Your ultimate goal is to defeat Medivh's King on the chessboard. Generally, you should kill Bishops first, then Queen and King.
All enemy pieces and their abilities are as follows (names may vary depending on Alliance or Horde faction):
King:
- Sweep / Cleave
- Heroism / Bloodlust
Queen:
- Elemental Blast / Fireball
- Rain of Fire / Poison Cloud
Bishop:
- Healing / Shadow Mend
- Holy Lance / Shadow Spear
Knight:
- Smash / Bite

- Geyser / Hellfire
- Water Shield / Fire Shield
Pawn:
- Heroic Blow / Vicious Strike
- Shield Block / Weapon Deflection
Note that Echo of Medivh may sometimes cheat using his unique ability during the game! Be very careful:
- Hand of Medivh (Berserk Cheat)
- Fury of Medivh (Damage Cheat)
- Heal Cheat
Summary
After each boss fight, you will receive gold and other specific gear drops as rewards. Completing the entire Karrazhan raid will further unlock new mounts and Tier 4 tokens that can be exchanged for more items.
If you want to save time, you can just complete the four encounters mentioned above, but if you want to maximize raid rewards, the best option is naturally to defeat all 12 bosses!
