Warriors of Azeroth, TBC pre-patch will officially begin on January 13th, and you'll still need to wait approximately one week. Gear Exploit

This exploit primarily affects all non-bind-on-pickup items, as many item attributes will change. Some items that are worthless in WoW 20th Classic will become very useful in TBC.

For example, Rugged Spaulders is a very useful piece of gear for Shamans, especially Alliance Shamans. It drops from the first boss in Shadowfang Keep.

In WoW Classic 20th Anniversary, it was a common quality item, meaning you could trade it infinitely, and it wasn't bound to you. However, in The Burning Crusade, this shoulder pad will become blue quality.

The trick is that you can now acquire a Rugged Spaulders item through the auction house or other ways, and then wrap it as a gift using Red Ribboned Wrapping Paper.

The wrapped gift itself is not bound, and it's neither bind-on-equip nor bind-on-pickup, so you can trade it to anyone. Because the gift itself remains the same, but the items inside will have different stats after the expansion update.

Normally, bound items cannot be wrapped, but since the current Rugged Spaulders don't have a bind-on-pickup attribute, they can be wrapped.

When you enter TBC, this shoulder pad will become bind on pickup and its stats will be improved. Therefore, if you plan to level your character to 15 during the pre-patch, this shoulder pad will be the best leather armor for that level. You can use this method to obtain and mail the item to the corresponding character in advance.

Regarding Red Ribboned Wrapping Paper, you can trade for either Red Ribboned Wrapping Paper or Blue Ribboned Wrapping Paper at any inn or general store for only 45 copper.

This method applies to all non-Bind on Pickup items in the game. You can perform this operation on items that will become Bind on Pickup in TBC.

This technique was proven effective during TBC Classic transition in 2021. You can test whether this method still works in TBC Anniversary live servers.

Mount Exploit

Mount exploits are related to the change in the way riding skills are learned. In TBC, you can directly learn riding skills and then obtain the corresponding faction's mount once you reach Exalted reputation. This is similar to WoW 20th Anniversary event. This system works differently.

The key is that in The Burning Crusade, many mounts are bind-on-equip, similar to bind-on-equip items. If you want a Blood Elf character to ride a Tauren Kodo, the method is almost identical to exploiting an equipment loophole: you can acquire a Kodo now and wrap it with Red Ribboned Wrapping Paper.

Then, you can mail this unbound package to your Blood Elf character. Blood Elf character will then open it and obtain and use Kodo.

This method works for almost all race combinations of mounts, the only limitation being the race's own riding restrictions. For example, Forsaken cannot ride Kodos, and Tauren cannot ride Forsaken mounts. Therefore, you need to confirm whether the target race can ride that type of mount.

This also applies if you simply want to have the appearance of a mount from a certain reputation faction in advance. The only requirement is that your character reaches the level to learn the corresponding riding skill. You will need approximately 1000 WoW Classic 20th Anniversary gold to complete this. This method was also confirmed to work in 2021, so you still have time to prepare.

World Buffs Exploit

The last exploit is available to all players. First, you need to know that in TBC, world buffs will no longer be active after your character reaches level 63.

However, you can use a trick. On the last day of Classic WoW, acquire the full set of world buffs, such as Rallying Cry of the Dragonslayer and Spirit of Zandalar.

Then, lock them in your inventory using a Chronoboon Displacer traded with Exalted reputation with Brood of Nozdormu.

From the pre-patch until TBC, these buffs will remain in your character's status bar as long as you don't use other Chronoboon items that might overwrite them. Although they will expire after level 63, the visual effects may be retained.

Before level 63, these buffs are fully active. This means you can enjoy the boost from these powerful buffs while leveling, especially while questing or running dungeons in Hellfire Peninsula, making your leveling journey easier and more efficient.

• Fiery: Deals 40 fire damage, essentially defeating monsters in one hit in the early game, with a high trigger rate.
• Crusader: Lower trigger rate, but when triggered, it heals you and grants 100 strength for 15 seconds, allowing you to easily defeat enemies during this time.

It's recommended to use Fiery Weapon before level 30, switching to Crusader after level 30, as it performs better in the mid-to-late game. It's also highly recommended to prepare some Frog Leg Stews. Available from level 1, it restores a significant amount of health, making it ideal for farming and leveling in the wild.

When killing monsters, try to kite the current target to your next planned kill. This allows you to immediately begin the next attack after the fight ends, avoiding wasting several seconds running away after a kill, thus significantly improving efficiency.

Remember that try to stick to the same weapon type. This avoids the need to upgrade multiple weapon skills due to frequent weapon changes, which slows down your leveling.

If you have limited WoW Classic 20th Anniversary gold, prioritize trading for better weapons over armor. Weapons not only improve stats but, more importantly, directly increase your damage output, allowing you to level up faster.

How to Choose Talents?

A Blood Elf Paladin's first talent point can be invested in Holy, Protection, or Retribution. It's recommended to use Retribution talent tree for solo leveling until at least level 16. After level 16, Holy and Protection talents will begin to show their advantages in dungeon groups.

Retribution talent tree is your primary solo leveling talent. If you plan to switch to dungeon leveling after level 16, you can also choose some Protection talents. However, note that at level 16, Paladins will learn Righteous Fury and Righteous Defense by default, so even with Retribution talent tree, as long as you have a one-handed weapon and shield, you are perfectly capable of tanking in low-level dungeons.

Holy talent tree is not suitable for solo leveling in the open world unless you are leveling in a group or plan to level entirely through dungeons. Also note that Consecration is a default Paladin skill in the pre-patch and no longer requires Holy talent points. Paladins with Retribution and Protection can also use it while leveling.

Leveling Path

At level 11 or 12, it is recommended to go to Ghostlands. Before setting off, be sure to go to Silvermoon City to pick up Paladin-specific quest chain. You will eventually learn Redemption, a skill that is very useful in groups.

From level 12 onwards, you can stay in Ghostlands questing until level 20. Paladin Combat Techniques

When fighting a single target, Consecration is relatively inefficient due to its high mana consumption. Its value increases significantly when facing three or more targets.

Use Devotion Aura against a single target, and switch to Retribution Aura against two or more targets to increase damage.

You can primarily use Blessing of Wisdom to maintain mana sustain. While Blessing of Might increases kill speed, its mana sustain advantage is more pronounced when dealing with multiple targets simultaneously using Consecration.

When facing fleeing monsters, save Hammer of Justice to prevent it from attracting more monsters. Use it as soon as it's off cooldown to control monsters, reduce damage taken, and decrease healing frequency.

Retribution: Paladins can combine Hammer of Justice with Seal of Command to deal extra damage to stunned targets.

Before learning Seal of Command, use Seal of Righteousness against normal monsters, and use Seal of the Crusader against elites or high-health monsters to gain attack power bonuses. If you're short on mana, you can switch to Seal of Wisdom to replenish it.

If you have other max-level characters, preparing some consumables for your Blood Elf Paladin in advance will be very efficient. If this is your only character, you can find some partners to team up with for even faster leveling.

This farm is suitable for all classes as long as your level is high enough. Normal monsters are around level 30-32, while elite monsters reach a maximum level of 34, making this a very safe area for high-level players. Besides herbs, this dungeon also drops several valuable items:

• Freezing Shard
• Quillshooter

• Feet of the Lynx

3. Wetlands

In this area, your primary farming objective is Tiny Crimson Whelpling. Simply farming Whelpings monsters gives you a chance to obtain a Tiny Crimson Whelpling pet.

6. Winterspring, Darkwhisper Gorge

At this farm, you'll be slaying Hederine Slayers. They are elite demon monsters, so they are very powerful and have high attack power. They drop Runecloth, merchant junk, and some equipment, but these aren't the main focus.

They have a chance to drop The Eye of Shadow, a unique item used for important endgame quests and crafting, especially important for priests. Due to their extreme rarity, they are in high demand.

Because these Hederine Slayers are quite dangerous, it is strongly recommended that at least two players team up for this farm. Bringing a friend will make the farm process much safer and more efficient.

7. Shadow Fang Keep, Silverpine Forest

Shadow Fang Keep dungeon is suitable for all classes. You can choose to farm it solo or in a group with other classes. You'll encounter some level 20+ monsters here. If your level is high, this dungeon will be safer and more efficient.

The main reason to farm here is that Shadow Fang Keep has a large amount of valuable BoE items. These BoE drops are always in demand, and if you're lucky, this farm can be extremely profitable. You should pay attention to the following items:

• Witching Stave

Brilliant Wizard Oil

Healer

Scarab Brooch

• Effect: Generates an absorption shield equal to 15% of the healed amount for 30 seconds.

Scarab Brooch's effect is based on a percentage of healing and scales with gear, making it a powerful trinket that can be used long-term in TBC.

Darkmoon Card: Blue Dragon

• Effect: Spells have a 2% chance to grant 100% spirit mana regeneration while casting for 15 seconds.

This card can be redeemed by completing Beasts deck. It's a good choice for spirit-dependent healing classes, useful for long battles or progression.

Tank

Styleen's Impeding Scarab

• Effect: Provides blocking and defense attributes.

Defense is a key attribute in TBC heroic raids, and this trinket helps tanks quickly reach the critical strike immunity requirement, especially suitable for shield tanks.

Glyph Of Deflection

• Effect: Greatly increases shield block value for 20 seconds.

Its value is similar to Styleen's Impeding Scarab, both being very suitable for shield tanks, making protection warriors and paladins very effective against high-pressure physical damage.

Melee DPS

Badge Of The Swarmguard

• Effect: Attacks reduce the target's armor and grant armor penetration.

This item is effective against targets with no or low armor penetration, and is very useful for clearing trash mobs in early TBC dungeons.

Fetish Of The Sand Reaver

• Effect: Reduces threat by 70% for 20 seconds.

Caster DPS

Mind Quickening Gem

• Effect: Increases haste rating by 330 for 20 seconds.

Eye Of Diminution

• Effect: Reduces the threat generated by the wearer and provides spell critical strike rating.

Neltharion's Tear

Caster Classes Profession Combination

• Tailoring + Engineering

Tailoring provides casters with BiS gear and daily cooldown crafts, such as Primal Mooncloth. Engineering offers exclusive items like bombs, gnome sabers, Zapthrottle Mote Extractor, and powerful Engineering-specific Tinkers. You can also use Engineering for farming. Absorb Gas Clouds in the wild using Zapthrottle Mote Extractor to obtain Primals or Mote.

Recommended General Combination

• Engineering + Alchemy

Engineering provides convenience and farming capabilities, while Alchemy provides a stable passive income through the daily transmute cooldown of Transmute Specialization.

Multi-Character Strategy

If you have multiple main characters, you can divide them into farming characters and crafting characters. Farming characters can learn Herbalism, while Mining is used to gather high-value materials in TBC. Crafting characters learn Alchemy and Tailoring to gain unique buffs, and you can generate passive income by using cooldown skills during daily logins.

Farming Methods

Solo Farms

In Winterspring, killing High Chief Winterfall‘s Cave yields Winterfall Firewater, approximately 15 gold per bottle, with a 6-minute respawn time. You can use a targeting macro and instant cast spells, along with an addon to track the chief‘s spawn. During the cooldown period, kill nearby Winterfall Ursa to obtain more Firewater and Winterfall E‘ko.

You can also travel to Western Plaguelands to kill Scarlet Spellbinders, as they have a chance to drop a recipe: Formula: Enchant Weapon - Crusader. The recipe is worth over 500 gold and may increase. It is expected to drop every 3-4 hours, with an average yield of about 150 gold per hour.

Group Farming

The first farm is Scholomance. Your goal is Dark Runes, which currently drop primarily from bosses, not mobs. Each Dark Rune is worth about 20 gold and remains a BiS item in TBC.

Alternatively, you can go to Winterspring and accept Luck Be With You Quest to collect three types of E‘ko. Since all party members can loot them, this farm is uncontested and highly profitable.

• Frostmaul E‘ko: Dropped by Frostmaul Giant, each worth about 8 gold.
• Winterfall E‘ko: Dropped by Winterfall Ursa, which also drops Winterfall Firewater.
• Chillwind E‘ko: It can be drops from Chillwind Chimaera and used for frost resistance gear.

Investing

Investing is the fastest way to earn gold, but you‘ll need some initial capital and to analyze supply and demand. In TBC Pre-patch, demand for certain WoW Classic 20th Anniversary materials will surge, while supply won‘t suddenly increase, thus increasing their value.

You can trade and hold them while their value is currently low, then sell them when demand rises after TBC Pre-patch or expansion launches.

First, It is recommend you to invest in herbs, as many players will need large quantities to quickly level up their alchemy skill in TBC, increasing their value.
