ARC Raiders Turbine Hunting Guide: How to farm Turbine Compressors & Survive the Lightning Storm?

    Posted: May 01, 2026Views: 1176

Raiders, the surface has undergone a complete upheaval! With the release of ARC Raiders: Riven Tides update, a new aerial threat has arrived. Introducing ARC Turbine, a formidable defensive flying enemy. Typically, this adversary swoops in to disrupt the action around the 15-minute mark, a critical juncture when everyone is preparing for extraction. Not only does it hurl lightning bolts, but it also scatters mines across the ground to cut off your escape routes; it is, quite simply, the ultimate defensive enemy.

To help you safeguard your hard-earned loot, IGGM has worked through the night to uncover Turbine's secrets! Want to know how to hunt down Turbines efficiently? Curious about their favorite hiding spots? Don't miss this guide - we'll show you how to turn Turbine into your personal loot cache!

ARC Raiders Turbine Hunting Guide: How to farm Turbine Compressors & Survive the Lightning Storm?

    How to find ARC Turbine?

The primary reason Turbine is such a tricky foe is that it is incredibly elusive. As we mentioned earlier, they tend to make their debut only after a game round has been underway for a significant amount of time, meaning there is a certain element of RNG (luck) involved.

However, some players have reported that Turbines seem to show a preference for appearing near Beachcombing operation points on the map. Therefore, if the current ARC Raiders Riven Tides map features this specific map condition, you may very well sense Turbine's presence along the coastline. Typically, it will arrive when the mission countdown timer has between 10 and 15 minutes remaining.

While there is no exact, fixed arrival time, the 10-to-15-minute window on the raid countdown timer represents the period with the highest probability of a Turbine appearance. If the countdown drops below 10 minutes, the likelihood of one actively seeking you out becomes significantly lower. Consequently, if you miss this specific window, we recommend attempting to extract from your current area and then re-entering; this maneuver may trigger Turbine to respawn.

Once a Turbine finally makes its appearance, typically within that 10-to-15-minute countdown window, its arrival is heralded by a colossal clap of thunder that can be heard clearly for miles around. Be sure to keep your ears peeled and listen for this distinct audio cue!

Once they arrive, the battle is about to get intense. They will first hover and float above the map before descending directly to the ground. Take note: the moment Turbine lands, it presents your prime opportunity to launch an assault and inflict massive damage upon the enemy!

    Loadout

Before initiating your attack, ensure you are equipped with the appropriate ARC Raiders weaponry, such as Jupiter or Hullcracker. The former is a legendary, high-damage railgun-style sniper rifle renowned for its exceptional armor-piercing capabilities; it can effortlessly punch through Turbine's plating to inflict damage directly upon its core. The latter, while perhaps lacking in flexibility and fire rate, is celebrated for its explosive damage output, capable of instantly obliterating an ARC enemy with a single direct hit!

Naturally, you have the option to scavenge for this gear within ground-based supply containers or purchase it directly from a vendor; however, given the steep price tags, we highly recommend utilizing the crafting system to construct these items yourself. Furthermore, IGGM currently offers ARC Raiders blueprints for sale at affordable prices, allowing you to instantly unlock any weapon or piece of gear, ensuring you are fully armed and ready to take on Turbine!

By the way, as a way to give back to our players, IGGM has launched a new ARC Raiders Riven Tides blueprint giveaway. Over the next few days, we will randomly select 20 lucky winners, each of whom will be able to choose any 5 blueprints they desire from IGGM, including Jupiter or Hullcracker blueprints. To participate, simply take a moment to leave an emoji!

    Turbine Combat Tips

Now, the battle begins! Although Turbine will land on the ground, it will not remain stationary there indefinitely. Regardless of whether it is grounded or airborne, you must remain constantly vigilant, as it is liable to unleash a barrage of lightning strikes at any moment.

The sequence begins with a sphere of energy rising into the air; subsequently, three trails of black smoke will rapidly disperse in different directions to lock onto and track your current position. Following immediately in the wake of this black smoke comes a series of lethal lightning bolts.

Exercise extreme caution to avoid being struck by this ultimate attack; a direct hit will instantly shatter your energy shields and inflict massive damage, leaving you downed and incapacitated in a matter of moments.

Therefore, the safest and most reliable counter-strategy is simply this: maintain your distance. If you venture too close, you will often find yourself with no opportunity to escape before the lightning attack delivers a fatal blow. Ensure you position yourself far enough away that the deadly black mist cannot reach you; for as long as the mist remains out of range, you will remain unharmed.

However, there is indeed a secret method to help you evade a Turbine attack: you can use a Snap Hook to latch directly onto its head, then immediately throw a Deadline charge to blow it to smithereens.

Once you start dealing sustained damage to it, Turbine will begin darting erratically across the map in an attempt to get away from you. At this point, be sure to maintain your distance while simultaneously staying in hot pursuit. As long as you keep firing, it won't land. If enough players join in the barrage, or if you simply hold out long enough, you will eventually succeed in blowing it up.

Therefore, you will need a fair number of teammates to coordinate their firepower. Be sure to stock up on plenty of ammo so you have the capacity to deal enough damage to finally obliterate this flying machine.

At the same time, do not overlook the other ARC enemies roaming the battlefield. Remain vigilant at all times; the moment you spot them, take them out immediately to avoid being caught off guard by an ambush.

    Loot Drops

Once you successfully shoot down a Turbine, you naturally earn the opportunity to scavenge for loot. Unfortunately, this particular ARC enemy does not drop blueprints; instead, it yields a crucial crafting material for Powered Descender: Turbine Compressor.

Make sure to pick it up immediately, do not stand around idly trying to reorganize your inventory. Someone could be standing nearby, ready to snatch the target item right out of your hands at any moment.

Conditions permitting, try to stash Turbine Compressor you've acquired into your Safe Pocket, avoid engaging in combat with any other players, and extract immediately!

In summary, if you don't want your escape route blocked by this lightning-fast harvester hovering over ARC Raiders coastline, then ready your Jupiter sniper rifle for long-range armor-piercing shots, and follow our guide to take care of this massive nuisance!

ARC Raiders developers response massive Blueprint Reset Changes following player outcry | Could you finally keep them in the future?

    Posted: Apr 23, 2026Views: 730

The launch window for ARC Raiders Expedition 3 is about to open. What makes this operation particularly special is not only the introduction of a new reset but also the fact that the development team has implemented several fundamental changes based on it.

The objective of these changes is to ensure that Expedition system remains a valuable feature, allowing you to derive greater enjoyment and a stronger sense of accomplishment from the gameplay experience.

However, one specific issue regarding Expedition mechanics has long remained unresolved: is there any possibility that players might be allowed to retain a portion of their Blueprints after a reset concludes?

As one of the most critical resources in the game, most blueprints are relatively difficult to acquire. Yet, no matter how many rare Blueprints you manage to accumulate during the early stages, everything is wiped clean with a single click once Expedition comes to an end!

In this discussion, drawing upon some recent rumors and speculation, we will explore the feasibility and likelihood of allowing players to retain their blueprints after an Expedition concludes.

ARC Raiders developers response massive Blueprint Reset Changes following player outcry | Could you finally keep them in the future?

    Blueprint acquisition and usage

Most gear in ARC Raiders can be acquired through various methods, including trading with vendors, scavenging, and crafting at the workshop. The latter method, crafting, often requires the consumption of ARC Raiders blueprints, particularly for high-tier items.

Each act of crafting consumes one blueprint. Furthermore, every item or weapon, even after undergoing repairs, possesses limited durability and must be replaced frequently; consequently, you are compelled to stockpile Blueprints for your most commonly used weapons.

Blueprints themselves can only be obtained by venturing out on Raids. However, you can significantly boost your chances of finding blueprints by looting high-value rooms or containers, participating in major map events, and eliminating high-tier ARC units.

The combination of low drop rates and high consumption rates makes Blueprints an extremely sought-after resource in ARC Raiders, which explains why players are so reluctant to lose them whenever an Expedition concludes.

    What are expeditions?

In extraction-based shooters like ARC Raiders, periodic resets are essential to ensure that players have opportunities for progression and fresh experiences; expedition system was designed specifically to serve this purpose.

More specifically, each expedition is divided into two phases: a preparation phase and a window phase. The former requires you to collect and submit specific materials in stages to unlock eligibility for participation, while the latter requires you to complete designated objectives to earn permanent rewards.

The closing of the window phase signifies the conclusion of the current expedition cycle. With the exception of permanent rewards, such as skill points, everything else you possess is wiped clean, including your blueprints.

The profound impact of expeditions on blueprints

As the primary factor determining your ability to contend with enemies, the wiping of your blueprints at the end of an expedition, even if you have experienced it multiple times, can still feel like a bitter pill to swallow.

In fact, the impact extends beyond just blueprints: while all your workshops are retained after an Expedition concludes, they are reset back to Level 1. Since crafting many items requires higher workshop levels, this presents a significant hurdle.

This means that even if you are lucky enough to acquire a desirable blueprint right at the start, you may not be able to craft it immediately; instead, you must first gather materials to upgrade your workshops.

Some argue that this is an indispensable part of the complete reset experience, but the majority of players feel that upgrading workshops offers no meaningful gameplay value and that doing so repeatedly is merely a waste of time.

Pros & cons of retaining blueprints

If future updates were to allow you to retain your blueprints after an Expedition, you could undoubtedly focus immediately on gathering other materials, allowing you to craft your preferred weapons and jump straight into combat as soon as your workshops were upgraded.

However, while this would grant you a distinct combat advantage, it would also create an imbalance, as not all players possess the means to acquire and retain high-tier blueprints by the end of a given season.

Consequently, this could easily lead to scenarios in the early stages of a new Expedition where players wielding top-tier weaponry prey upon unarmed casual players or newcomers, an outcome that neither the players nor the developers would wish to see.

The awkward reality, however, is that for disadvantaged players, under the current game mechanics, if you do not have ample time to dedicate to continuous farming, you are effectively already at a disadvantage.

Blueprint acquisition relies heavily on RNG; this means you must maintain a consistent play schedule, loot resources efficiently, and have a healthy dose of luck on your side just to build up a substantial blueprint collection.

Therefore, although the developers' original intent behind the reset system was to foster a fair competitive environment it feels more like a punishment for those players who simply cannot spare the time to invest heavily in the game.

It is precisely for this reason that the resets triggered by Expeditions exacerbate the sense of frustration felt by casual players. Thus, regardless of whether blueprint resets are eventually abolished or not, Expedition system itself remains plagued by an inherent internal contradiction.

Will blueprint retention is possible in the future?

Although not all players wish to see the blueprint wipe removed, a vocal segment of the community has persistently pressed ARC Raiders development team on this issue; recently, the game director offered a preliminary response regarding the matter.

His stance can be summarized simply: retaining blueprints after an expedition concludes is not an option that has been entirely ruled out, but implementing such a change would require time.

Typically, a game's developers strive to address their players' most fervent requests. However, the issue of blueprint resets has remained without a definitive resolution precisely because the underlying technical and design challenges are particularly thorny.

To explain in greater depth: modifying this specific mechanism would inevitably have far-reaching repercussions across every facet of the game's overall system. It presents significant difficulties and demands a considerable investment of time.

As we noted when discussing the pros and cons, whether considering the blueprints themselves or the potential removal of the reset mechanic, several factors must be carefully weighed, including progression continuity, player experience, and the unique value of RNG-based rewards.

In short, while the possibility of retaining blueprints after an expedition is not out of the question for the future, achieving this involves a lengthy development process and requires identifying the most appropriate solution.

    Plausible mechanistic hypotheses

Although the developers have not yet announced any concrete plans, based on the game's current state, we have formulated several hypotheses on how to avoid a complete blueprint reset without compromising the game's overall experience or balance.

For instance, instead of directly altering the blueprints themselves, the focus could shift to modifying the workshop reset mechanism. If a player successfully completes the objectives within the departure window, their rewards could include the retention of a selection of high-tier workshops for the start of the subsequent expedition.

This approach would allow players to craft items more rapidly right from the start, even if they begin without any blueprints, rather than being forced to repeat the entire workshop upgrade process from scratch.

Alternatively, Expedition rewards could incorporate a tiered system for retaining specific blueprints, items of moderate rarity that are designated for use exclusively during the preparation phase of the next expedition.

This would ensure that players of varying skill levels have an opportunity to acquire these blueprints, while simultaneously preventing the long-term, permanent retention of items from leading to future issues regarding blueprint devaluation or redundancy.

Of course, the suggestions outlined above are merely speculative concepts based on the game's current mechanics; ultimately, the final decision rests with ARC Raiders development team.

Fortunately, despite any existing shortcomings, recent updates to Expedition system demonstrate that ARC Raiders team remains steadfast in its commitment to listening to and satisfying its player base. We're confident that a suitable solution to the blueprint reset issue will be found in the future!

ARC Raiders Patch 1.24.0 fixed bugs and provided compensation for the unexpectedly cancelled project!

    Posted: Apr 16, 2026Views: 483

The new map information for ARC Raiders revealed in recent emails is truly exciting; however, it will still be some time before these updates are actually implemented in the game. If you've been playing regularly, it's just as important to stay informed about the game's current status!

With that in mind, ARC Raiders released Patch 1.24.0 this week, as per their usual schedule, on Tuesday, April 14th. In addition to standard bug fixes, this patch introduces two new cosmetic sets, one of which is specifically for Scrappy, your rooster companion.

Below, we'll walk you through all the details of this patch so you don't miss out on any information that could impact your gameplay experience.

ARC Raiders Patch 1.24.0 fixed bugs and provided compensation for the unexpectedly cancelled project!

    Two new sets

The two new sets are named Nascosto Set and Scrappy Speckled Set. The former is available for you, as a Raider, to acquire and equip, while the latter can be used to customize your rooster companion back at your base.

Nascosto Set features a relatively understated and subtle design aesthetic. Its overall look resembles camouflage, evoking a distinct sense of stealth and concealment.

    ARC Raiders Nascosto Set

If you know a little Italian, you'll realize that this design philosophy aligns perfectly with the set's name, as Nascosto literally translates to hidden or concealed in Italian.

The set offers three different color schemes for you to choose from, along with extensive customization options; you can freely swap out accessories, such as the hood, mask, and armor, whenever you wish.

It's worth noting that the base Nascosto Set does not include a backpack or face paint; however, if you get the set from the store for 1,700 Raider Tokens, these two additional components will be included as a bonus.

As for Speckled Set, its centerpiece is a small helmet that Scrappy can wear; the set also includes three other accompanying components.

    ARC Raiders Scrappy Speckled Set

If you only want to acquire the helmet, it will cost you 500 Raider Tokens. However, the complete Speckled Set costs only 700 Tokens, so, budget permitting, we highly recommend getting the full set directly.

    Comprehensive fixes for game crashes

In recent weeks, ARC Raiders has been plagued by a multitude of game crashes, ranging from minor glitches to major system failures.

Although the technical team has been continuously working to address these issues, finding a permanent, definitive solution has proven to be a challenging task. Based on this, this week's patch continues to focus specifically on addressing these issues.

However, since the bugs are somewhat scattered and the patch notes do not explicitly detail exactly what was fixed, it is difficult to judge the effectiveness of the update at this stage.

Overall, the most common crash-related issues involve sudden game crashes occurring in the middle of a raid.

Furthermore, if you manage to successfully reconnect after a crash, you might find that either all the loot you had acquired has vanished, or, for some inexplicable reason, you have respawned in a location where you are extremely vulnerable to being killed.

If these types of issues remain unaddressed, they will severely undermine your overall gaming experience and enthusiasm. Therefore, we sincerely hope that Patch 1.24.0 proves to be truly effective.

    Vanguard Set Model bug fixed

Introduced just last week in Patch 1.23.0, Vanguard Set quickly gained significant popularity despite having been available for only a few days. Unfortunately, model-related bugs soon began to surface.

More specifically, this bug caused visual glitches for anyone wearing the set, resulting in uncontrolled stretching and distortion of the character model.

Not only was this visually unappealing, but it could also lead to unnecessary losses by obstructing the player's field of view.

In fact, even before the release of Patch 1.24.0, the development team explicitly stated that they would definitely fix this bug; fortunately, that promise has now become a reality.

Buy ARC Raiders Flashpoint Blueprints on IGGM to accelerate the progress through the remaining Flashpoint content

    Stella Montis audio bug fixed

Before Patch 1.24.0, particularly within Stella Montis map, a specific audio bug would occur: if an enemy player was located on ARC and there were no obstructions between you and the target, their footsteps or other sound effects would sound significantly fainter than their intended volume.

As audio is a critical component of the game, and while we do not necessarily encourage looting other players to stock up on gear, combat is sometimes unavoidable.

Consequently, this audio bug could clearly result in severe disadvantages for one of the parties involved.

AMD FSR Frame Generation bug fixed

AMD FSR Frame Generation technology works by predicting and inserting new frames between rendered frames to deliver a smoother, higher-frame-rate gaming experience; this technology plays a significant role in ARC Raiders.

However, recently, when this technology was active, it could cause visual anomalies that resulted in the game's graphics appearing blurry or indistinct. Now this issue has now been resolved.

    Zipline bug fixed

Ziplines serve as a deployable utility item in the game, allowing you to quickly traverse back and forth between two points once set up. This feature is particularly useful in environments featuring significant vertical elevation differences.

Prior to the release of Patch 1.24.0, a bug occasionally occurred where, if you deployed a zipline onto a movable object positioned at a cliff's edge, your character would inadvertently end up situated beneath the cliff.

Although this issue has now been resolved, this is not the first time ziplines have malfunctioned when interacting with movable objects; hopefully, the developers will implement further optimizations for this system in the future.

    Inventory switching bug fixed

This bug refers to a specific glitch where, if you accidentally press the fire button while in the process of switching inventory items, the switch is interrupted. Consequently, items that require a hold-to-use input, such as bandages, are automatically activated.

Technically speaking, this anomaly stems from an input command conflict, a situation where the game's system becomes confused while attempting to process multiple simultaneous input commands.

    Old project compensation plan

Almost every update released over the past few months has introduced new projects for players to complete. Furthermore, the developers previously pledged to provide ample time, along with advance warnings, before permanently removing any projects from the game.

However, an awkward oversight occurred when Weather Monitor Station Project, originally released alongside Shrouded Sky update in February, abruptly vanished following the launch of Flashpoint update.

As a result, many players were unable to complete the project in time, causing them to miss out on various rewards.

In contrast, Trophy Display Project, introduced back in January, remains available to this day. This discrepancy suggests that the handling of Weather Monitor Station Project was indeed mishandled by ARC Raiders.

Consequently, via this latest patch, the developers have asked players who failed to complete the aforementioned Project in time to keep a close watch on their in-game mailboxes over the coming days; this strongly implies that appropriate compensation will be distributed to those affected.

Meanwhile, the patch notes also explicitly state that High Gain Antenna Project, originally released with Flashpoint update, will become unavailable following the April update.

If you have not yet completed this project, be sure to make the most of the remaining two weeks to finish it!

That wraps up everything included in this week's standard ARC Raiders patch. We hope you find this article useful!

ARC Raiders Week 18 Trials Guide | Clear Every Challenge in One Run and Prepare for Your Third Expedition

    Posted: Mar 03, 2026Views: 865

Regardless of recent major patches or temporary hotfixes, the weekly trials of ARC Raiders updates have almost never been interrupted, making them the primary source of basic daily rewards for all players, so you shouldn't miss them!

This week's trials are the 18th round since the game's release. Perhaps because the preparation phase for the third expedition has just begun, Week 18 Trials aren't particularly difficult, so the best way to complete them is to create a clear plan and clear them all in one go!

To save you time, we've compiled a list of all Week 18 Trials content and the best completion strategies to help you progress faster once the new expedition begins.

ARC Raiders Week 18 Trials Guide | Clear Every Challenge in One Run and Prepare for Your Third Expedition

    Damage Leapers

Leapers are medium-sized ARC enemies that primarily threaten you with shockwaves and jumps. The best way to defeat them is to avoid their movement tracks and aim for their eyes and leg joints.

This trial requires you to damage Leapers, but if you're not a new player, you can simply enter areas where enemies spawn in large numbers and wreak havoc, as killing Leapers may drop the following loot:

    • Leaper Pulse Unit
    • ARC Alloy
    • Mechanical Components
    • Advanced ARC Powercell
    • ARC Flex Rubber
    • ARC Motion Core
    • ARC Performance Steel

We also recommend starting your farming when the large map event spawns on the maps corresponding to the following locations, as this will grant double trial points.

    Dam Battlegrounds:

    • Southeast of Hydroponic Dome Complex
    • Water Treatment Control Elevator
    • Red Lakes Balcony
    • Lower Red Lakes Area

    Buried City:

    • Marano Park
    • Spaceport:
    • South of Launch Towers

    Blue Gate:

    • Barren Clearing
    • Ruined Homestead

    Loot the bird's nests

This trial requires waiting for Bird City map condition to spawn on Buried City map before you can begin. Compared to other map conditions, Bird City isn't particularly dangerous or rewarding; its main appeal lies in its fun.

To find more bird nests during the event, you can use the ziplines above various buildings to traverse the city faster and then loot near the chimneys. However, you need to be constantly aware of patrolling aerial enemies that may approach.

Besides bird nests, you might find other interesting items during this process, but most are not very useful in combat, so you can sell them for coins.

    Damage Spotters

This mission is similar to the first one, the only difference being the enemy type. Spotters, as flying ARC bots, won't attack you directly. Instead, they will use lasers to aim and locate you, allowing Bombardier to shoot you down.

The tricky part about Spotters is that if you don't kill Bombardier, Spotters will respawn in pairs after being destroyed. If you just want to complete the trial faster, you can escape immediately after killing enough Spotters.

This enemy type's weakness lies in its thrusters. Defeating them will also drop the following items:

    • ARC Powercell
    • ARC Alloy
    • Spotter Relay
    • ARC Synthetic Resin
    • ARC Thermo Lining
    • Sensors

Spotters can spawn anywhere, but to improve your trial completion efficiency, keep an eye out for them while looting nests in Bird City and eliminate some.

    Open ARC Probes

ARC Probes are non-offensive machines used by ARC enemies to scan and collect Earth's resources. Opening their panels will yield loot such as Arc Alloy, Circuitry, and Motion Cores.

These machines continuously emit black smoke and beeping sounds as markers, making them easier to find. Additionally, ARC Probes will spawn more frequently when a Prospecting Probes event occurs on the map.

The map most likely to spawn this event is Blue Gate; Dam Battlegrounds and Buried City are also good choices. Once inside the map, prioritize higher ground to quickly spot the spawn points of ARC Probes.

The only tricky part is that activated ARC Probes create a louder noise, signaling for help from other ARC bots, potentially drawing you into new combat. Fortunately, these attracted enemies are usually easy to deal with.

    Search containers in specific location

All ARC Raiders maps have zones with densely packed containers for looting, but this Week 18 trial requires you to search Medical Research Wing in Stella Montis.

This area is located west of Stella Montis. Locate it using the mini-map markers and enter. Loot all the containers you can see.

However, be aware that Stella Montis currently has the most intense PvP among all ARC Raiders maps. To avoid unfriendly fire, it's best to bring less rare gear to avoid being targeted by players who like to loot others.

If you want to gain more points faster and improve your trial rating, please loot after map events starting, like Night Raid or Hurricane, which offer both danger and rewards - you might even find some unexpected treasures!

That concludes the details and completion methods for all Week 18 trial missions. We recommend completing them as soon as possible within the first three days of the week to avoid missing out on other gameplay options. Good luck!

If you want to complete the trial missions during dangerous map events, be sure to bring enough suitable weapons and grenades. ARC Raiders Blueprints for sale on IGGM can help you craft the gear you want faster, aiding in your trial progress!

ARC Raiders Shrouded Sky is Here! Discover the Game-Changing Hurricane Mechanic, New ARC Enemies, and More

    Posted: Feb 24, 2026Views: 1513

After a month-long wait, ARC Raiders February 2026 Shrouded Sky update is finally here! Perhaps due to time constraints, January's Headwinds content wasn't very substantial, leading to higher expectations for Shrouded Sky.

Fortunately, according to the official announcement, February update is packed with content! It should keep you playing until the next update arrives.

Furthermore, with more competitors entering the market, even though Shrouded Sky isn't yet implemented in the game, we believe ARC Raiders won't cut corners, as the negative impact of player loss is no joke.

Below, we'll introduce all the new content brought by Shrouded Sky to help you quickly adapt to the upcoming new raid battlefield.

ARC Raiders Shrouded Sky is Here! Discover the Game-Changing Hurricane Mechanic, New ARC Enemies, and More

    Shrouded Sky release date

The official release time for this update is February 24, 2026, 1:30 AM PST. Of course, the exact time may vary depending on time zones.

March update is expected to be released in about a month. While Shrouded Sky will end then, most of its content will remain permanently in the game, so you shouldn't worry about missing out on certain gameplay features.

    New map condition: Hurricane

ARC Raiders updates map conditions much more frequently than the maps themselves. This is actually quite advantageous, as it means you can often earn double loot or trial points in entirely new environments.

Hurricane map condition from Shrouded Sky, as the name suggests, will introduce numerous powerful hurricanes into the current map. A tailwind will increase your speed, but a headwind will not only limit your speed but also accelerate your stamina consumption.

More importantly, the strong winds will inevitably affect the trajectory of your thrown items, including the smoke or gas created by some grenades, which may not land in enemy groups as you expect.

Furthermore, similar to the heavy snow in Cold Snap, the hurricanes will darken the sky and clouds, significantly reducing overall visibility. Whether you can stealthily approach the enemy faster or be more easily ambushed depends on your vigilance.

As the wind howls, various debris on the ground will be swept up and hit you. While these won't cause fatal injuries, they will slowly weaken your shield and make it flicker, making you more easily spotted by enemies.

Therefore, if you want to survive in this environment and kill enemies to earn loot, you not only need to ensure your strength and gear are reliable but also develop the most suitable strategy based on the situation.

    Weather monitoring system

This mechanism belongs to the project gameplay in this update, and it seems to require you to build a forecast system for special weather such as hurricanes. However, this is not its real purpose - its main function is to provide rewards.

The game will issue tasks through the weather monitoring system, and you need to collect specific materials as required to help build the system and ensure that all functions are working properly.

This project may require you to collect new limited materials, similar to Flickering Flames event, or it may involve other common ARC Raiders items. But in any case, you will definitely have to put in a lot of effort.

    New ARC enemies

As part of a previously planned update, Shrouded Sky has brought two new ARC enemy types, further enhancing the game's PvE capabilities.

The first is the flying Firefly. This enemy attacks by spewing flames upon spotting you. You must move quickly to find suitable cover while using guns or grenades to destroy it.

Both its rear and front thrusters are armored, but unlike Hornet, you can't clearly see Firefly's armor from the bottom. The bottom of the rear thruster is also armored, but the top is not.

The second ARC enemy is Comet. It appears as an unassuming sphere, but if you get too close and fail to notice it, it will immediately lock onto you and explode.

ARC Raiders Shrouded Sky New ARC Enemies

Overall, these are standard PvE enemies, not the extremely sturdy, large ARCs like Queen or Matriarch. That said, be cautious when you encounter them and don't underestimate them.

    Dam Battlegrounds update

In addition to the new map conditions, Shrouded Sky has added a high-value loot area, Controlled Access Zone, to the classic map Dam Battlegrounds.

This means you can find more valuable items here, and the rewards will be even greater if combined with other map events! However, the intensity of PvP conflicts here will definitely increase, so be prepared.

    New Deck: Surgeon

A deck is a reward track in the game, generally including cosmetic and item rewards. This new deck introduces Surgeon cosmetics, where you can gradually unlock parts to eventually dress up as Dr. Jekyll or Mr. Hyde.

Furthermore, the new deck also includes Full Beard appearance, or you can acquire Stubble Beard and Thick Moustache from the shop and use them to decorate your character as needed.

    More cosmetic bundles

In addition to deck rewards and various beard decorations, this update also introduces two new cosmetic sets: The Volare and The Devotee. Furthermore, a new backpack set and Raider tool set are expected to be released later in the game.

    Summary

The above is all the new content that ARC Raiders Shrouded Sky update will bring you, and there's a high chance that other new events will be introduced to maintain the game's fun and freshness.

While ARC Raiders hasn't yet satisfied all players, the stable update schedule has certainly comforted many loyal fans. We look forward to it maintaining its leading position in the increasingly competitive shooter market.

From Hero to Zero? Trailblazer Grenade Nerfed in ARC Raiders 1.15.0: Best Alternatives for Farming Merits

    Posted: Feb 12, 2026Views: 1352

I bet you've been busy earning merits for the new Shared Watch event in ARC Raiders since the day before yesterday, as it offers numerous opportunities to redeem rewards! However, have you noticed that Trailblazer Grenade isn't as effective as it used to be?

Merits are earned by damaging and attacking ARC enemies, so various guns and grenades are essential. Some grenades can even effectively damage heavily armored large ARCs, such as Trailblazer Grenade.

Unfortunately, Trailblazer Grenade was nerfed as part of Update 1.15.0. We initially thought this would be a reasonable optimization, but it seems that's not the case.

From Hero to Zero? Trailblazer Grenade Nerfed in ARC Raiders 1.15.0: Best Alternatives for Farming Merits

    Trailblazer before and after nerf

This grenade was added to the game in patch 1.2.0. Its function is to immediately release a burst of flammable gas upon being thrown. After a short delay, the gas ignites and explodes, causing damage.

Update 1.15.0 didn't change the fundamental mechanics, but it weakened Trailblazer's damage against large ARCs, increased its damage against smaller ARCs, and prevented it from dealing damage through walls.

The last change is commendable, clearly aimed at preventing players from exploiting bugs, but the first two changes initially received mixed reviews. Finally, based on practical experience, now it's almost entirely critical.

    Current Trailblazer performance in practice

Assuming you are playing Shared Watch event, you're likely to encounter any type of ARC in a raid, and killing large ARC bots will yield more merits. Therefore, carrying weapons capable of handling ARCs of different sizes is crucial.

In the past, with accurate throwing, Trailblazer Grenade paired with a gun could effectively deal with most enemy types, but now it's significantly weakened.

And previously, two or three Trailblazers were enough to take down medium ARCs like Bastions; now, that number has risen to at least five. The situation is even worse against more agile enemies like Leapers.

It was already difficult to keep Leapers still using explosions and shooting, but now they can sometimes completely ignore Trailblazer's attacks, let alone block them.

As for the impact on the smaller ARCs, it seems to have improved compared to the past, but it's not a one-hit kill. Besides, for Shared Watch experience or the needs of advanced players, small ARCs have never been a primary target.

Of the existing grenades, only Seeker Grenade is specifically designed to target a single ARC; the others with damage effects don't have a clear division of labor in their attack patterns.

Therefore, it's clear that the initial intention of nerfing Trailblazer was to optimize the grenade system. Unfortunately, the developers seem to have overdone it, ultimately ruining the final gameplay experience.

Which items are the best alternatives?

While it's annoying, if you still plan to play ARC Raiders, you have to adapt to this change - life goes on! Unless the development team releases a new patch to further adjust the effects of Trailblazer nerf.

As things stand, if you're on a budget, we recommend Stitcher first. While using it requires consuming a significant amount of ammunition, there's little additional risk, and both the weapon itself and its ammunition are readily available in the game.

Take attacking Bastion as an example. If your shooting skills are good enough, you can quickly take it down as long as you consistently aim at Bastion's vulnerable head armor. The key is to avoid attacks from the side.

Of course, this is just the most cost-effective option. If you have better guns and previously enjoyed using them with Trailblazer, then you'll need to adapt to a gun-only playstyle.

If you're simply looking for a new grenade alternative, consider Snap Blast Grenade. It adheres to the enemy's surface, causing explosive damage after a short delay, although its ultimate effect is somewhat limited.

Besides this, a more efficient and resource-efficient kill method is using Wolfpack, currently one of the most popular grenades in the game. If you use it against a Leaper, approximately two grenades will kill one enemy.

While this can significantly shorten combat time, Wolfpack is difficult to obtain, requiring specific blueprints and relatively rare crafting materials, making it somewhat unworthy of effort for most average players.

However, if you have a decent stockpile of Wolfpacks, we recommend using it in combination with Anvil. While Anvil has a slow rate of fire, it's versatile and usable at any range, though it performs better at medium range.

More importantly, although crafting this weapon also requires a blueprint, the blueprint has designated drop locations, making it relatively easy to find:

    • Raider Cache
    • Weapon Case
    • Ammo Case
    • Grenade Tube

Alternatively, if you have enough coins, you can trade directly with vendor Tian Wen to obtain Anvil. However, don't forget to upgrade it afterwards for optimal combat performance.

    Summary

Making adjustments to the weapon system from time to time is necessary, but striking the right balance is difficult; a slight misstep can result in items becoming weaker than planned, as seen with Trailblazer.

Considering the grenade's popularity and usability, we believe the developers should release a patch to slightly reduce its strength; otherwise, its usage rate will inevitably drop significantly in the long run.

While this might be a preparation for the release of a new grenade, forcibly phasing out an old grenade is clearly unwise and will also raise concerns about whether older, commonly used weapons will suffer the same fate.

This concludes our analysis of the latest changes to Trailblazer Grenade. Although you may be reluctant to part with it, for the sake of rewards, it's best to switch to an alternative for now!

ARC Raiders Destroy Fireballs Trial Speedrun: Best Farming Route & High Score Tips | Ranked Leaderboard Push!

    Posted: Feb 11, 2026Views: 4220

Dear Raiders, have you completed this week's trials? Actually, the five trials this week weren't too difficult, and it was easy to get three stars. However, achieving a higher score and making a name for yourself on the leaderboard wasn't so easy.

Here, we want to share a speedrun guide for Destroy Fireballs Trial. Some might wonder, this trial isn't difficult; you just need to keep shooting fireballs until you reach 4000 points, right? That's true, but if you think about it carefully, there are many tips that can help you save a lot of time for other things. So, let's talk about some useful tips to help you complete this trial more easily.

ARC Raiders Destroy Fireballs Trial Speedrun: Best Farming Route & High Score Tips | Ranked Leaderboard Push!

    Run in Friendly Lobby

First and foremost, the most obvious point is that if you want to improve your trial score, it's best to run it in Friendly Lobby.

If you just want to get 4000 points to get the weekly top reward, then it doesn't matter. You can play PVP matches on double map difficulty as usual, just make sure you frequently go to areas with lots of fireballs. This should give you over 700 points per match. So, you only need to complete six matches to get 4000 points and then be eliminated. But if you want to aim for the highest score, choosing PVE lobby is a better option.

To quickly enter Friendly Lobby in ARC Raiders, you can join Solo vs Squads mode on Stella Montis map with a free set of gear, then run around the lobby, rally point, or med station, firing a few shots randomly. Eventually, you'll encounter a squad that knocks you down, and then on the results screen of one of the matches, click "Round Feedback," select that you don't like PVP experience, and you'll likely quickly enter PVE lobby in subsequent matches.

    Best Farming Location

Now, regarding destroying Fireballs maps, the best place is undoubtedly to log in to Stella Montis during Night Raids. This map is relatively small, and there are a lot of fireballs that will continuously spawn after you clear other areas.

However, if you particularly dislike Stella Montis, or if the lobby is extremely crowded during Trial, with other players fiercely competing for fireballs, and you only need 4000 points, then you can easily obtain those points on Buried City or Dam Battlegrounds.

On Buried City map, you can explore the residential area on the south side of the map, or if you spawn near the hospital or shopping mall, you can wander around there a few times.

On Dam Battlegrounds, there are fireballs under Research & Administration building, in the underground tunnel leading to Water Treatment, and at Water Treatment itself.

However, don't forget to start Trial during Night Raid if possible; this will make your Trial progress much faster!

    Route Planning

Depending on your spawn point, you need to sprint to where the first group of fireballs is located, and then plan a route to the fireball spawn hotspots.

Next, make sure you kill all the mobs, even some small flying vehicles, to ensure that the fireballs spawn immediately after the countdown ends (approximately 5 minutes).

Here are some excellent fireball spawn locations:

First, the two sides of Assembly. If you're looting, these fireballs can be annoying, but in Trials, you'll need to see as many as possible. So, the area near Assembly's server room, and the long, dark corridor on the other side of Assembly, are good spots.

The medical area in ARC Raiders is also a good location, but it's very competitive, with players looting there for the first 10-15 minutes of each round. If you don't want to take that much risk, you can go later, where you're guaranteed to find at least two fireballs.

Robotic Sandbox is also great. Since most raiders don't stay there for long, it won't hinder fireball spawning.

It's worth mentioning that while Seed Vault isn't ideal for farming fireballs, it will take you to Archives, where there might be up to three fireballs. You can then immediately take the zipline to Business Center, where there are also some fireballs. Go through the security gates into the lobby; fireballs might appear on the ground floor and side balconies. But be careful, other players might be ambushing here!

Basically, based on your spawn point, you can plan your route like this: Assembly is like a gap in the middle. Once you feel you've farmed enough fireballs, you can cross this gap, run through the medical area, and then return to the right side of the map, where you'll find Robotic Sandbox, Archives, Lobby, Atrium, and Business Center. These areas are great places to farm fireballs, and if you're lucky enough, you might even find some ARC Raiders blueprints!

    Loadout

Finally, here are some equipment suggestions for your reference.

    Free Loadout

If you don't want to take risks and just want to get 4000 points, you can complete this trial using the free equipment. Even if you get a light-ammo SMG like Stitcher, just clear out the surrounding enemies, let the fireballs get close to you, and then shoot at the white plastic core it opens.

Anyway, detonating fireballs will give you all the trial points, but you'll need to stop and interact with each fireball, which will be slow. Therefore, I recommend using custom gear and adding Adrenaline Shot so you can move quickly across the map without stopping to recover stamina.

    Custom Gear

Of course, if you want to score over 4000 points, custom gear is essential. The combination of Bettina and Hullcracker is particularly effective at destroying fireballs. Why?

This is because you rarely find a full fireball waiting for you to shoot. Usually, you're surrounded by smaller enemies, and Bettina's advantage is that it doesn't require frequent reloading, making it more agile. Of course, accuracy is also important; if you shoot the main body of an enemy, it's an instant kill; but if you hit the outer edge, it might take several bullets, so Bettina, the king of mid-to-long-range combat, is definitely the best choice in this situation.

So, why choose Hullcracker? Because it only takes two bullets to quickly destroy Shredders, allowing you to enter specific areas of the map without having to dodge or run around them as before.

Don't forget to bring a few ziplines. Because if you need to go down from Business Center to the lobby, you can place a zipline down, making it easier to move around the map and saving time.

In short, hopefully these tips will help you easily destroy fireballs and get high scores in this week's trials. Perhaps you'll also find some other useful tips that you can use even outside of the trials! Hurry up and jump into the game before the trials end and aim for the highest score!

Snow is Back! ARC Raiders Cold Snap Officially Returns Feb 10: Double Trial Points & Rare Blueprints Await You!

    Posted: Feb 09, 2026Views: 911

Late last year, shortly after winter arrived, ARC Raiders released a major update called Cold Snap, the most notable feature of which was the eponymous limited-time map condition, which introduced a special frostbite mechanic and heavy snowfall.

Unfortunately, although Cold Snap was very popular, as a limited-time update it ended on January 13th, and shortly after, the game released a new limited-time update for January, Headwinds.

The new map condition introduced by this update, Bird City, was also good, but overall less playable than Cold Snap, and it's currently unclear when February update will be released.

Therefore, to satisfy players, the development team recently announced that Cold Snap will return on February 10th! Allowing you to experience the power of the blizzard in Rustbelt again before the end of winter!

Below, we will provide you with a detailed introduction to this return plan, as well as more possible ARC Raiders map condition update schedules.

Snow is Back! ARC Raiders Cold Snap Officially Returns Feb 10: Double Trial Points & Rare Blueprints Await You!

    Cold Snap return schedule

It has been confirmed that this map condition will return to the game on February 10th, but the end date has not yet been announced. Therefore, some players hope and predict that Cold Snap will become one of the permanent rotating content, like Night Raid.

If the game releases an official announcement for this return, it may include the specific schedule for Cold Snap; otherwise, it may not be clarified until February Shrouded Sky update is released.

    How to play Cold Snap?

As a map condition, Cold Snap means that heavy snow or even blizzards will appear on the current map, leading to reduced visibility, making it difficult to scout for enemies, and significantly limiting your movement speed and agility.

In addition, the overall temperature on the map will drop, and you must return indoors to warm up periodically, otherwise your health will continuously decrease due to frostbite.

Although very dangerous, Cold Snap, like other limited-time map events, offers a higher chance of finding high-level loot, including even rarer ARC Raiders blueprints, and also provides double trial points.

It's worth noting that when Cold Snap was released as a complete update, the game also introduced a temporary resource called Candleberries through a limited-time event, which you could collect to redeem rewards. It is currently unclear whether this gameplay will return as well.

    Why is Cold Snap returning?

When Cold Snap map condition was first released, it was popular with players due to its realistic seasonal features, interesting special mechanics, and generous rewards. Unfortunately, it was only available for about a month before being taken offline.

Perhaps Cold Snap wasn't originally good enough to be truly unforgettable for everyone, but its short lifespan made its absence all the more regrettable. Therefore, after January 13th, there were many voices in the community expressing nostalgia for Cold Snap.

On the other hand, although ARC Raiders quickly released a new update, Headwinds, on January 27th, as a mini-update its content was very limited, especially the new map event Bird City, which had relatively average challenge and loot rewards.

Therefore, during the gap before the next update, bringing back Cold Snap would not only satisfy players' nostalgia but also complement other regular conditions, preventing player loss before the release of Shrouded Sky.

What are players' thoughts on this?

Undoubtedly, most ARC Raiders fans welcome this, as everyone hasn't had enough time playing in the snow! However, some players have expressed concerns.

They don't object to Cold Snap's return, but they worry that the developers will use this as an excuse to shortchange players in February update, because Escalation roadmap clearly states that Shrouded Sky will introduce new map conditions.

This concern is understandable, but it's a bit of an overreaction. Normally, a popular new game like ARC Raiders wouldn't need to sabotage its own future with such a lazy approach.

More importantly, ARC Raiders' powerful new competitor, the new Marathon series game, will be released in March this year and is expected to compete with Shrouded Sky. If ARC Raiders were to mislead players at this time, it would be tantamount to suicide.

Another perspective is that ARC Raiders' decision to quickly take Cold Snap offline and then bring it back seems somewhat inexplicable, as it could have simply been kept due to its high popularity.

Perhaps ARC Raiders didn't do this initially because they didn't want Cold Snap to overshadow Headwinds, but who knew the latter wouldn't be as popular as expected?

Will Cold Snap become a permanent part of the lineup?

Currently, there are more than ten map conditions confirmed to be in ARC Raiders' permanent rotation. Theoretically, adding Cold Snap is entirely feasible.

However, before an official announcement is made, there's another possibility: Cold Snap could return as a special event, appearing periodically in the game during the next winter or at other special times.

This rotation mechanism would clearly help maintain Cold Snap's popularity for longer and create a new unique feature for ARC Raiders. However, the final arrangement will depend on the game's actual needs.

    More map condition update plans

While Cold Snap update was still underway, some players discovered, through tricks like changing time settings, that ARC Raiders might introduce a new map event called Toxic Swamps, but January update didn't include this content.

In fact, the developers haven't officially commented on Toxic Swamps, so its absence is understandable, as everything is just speculation from the players.

However, considering the larger scale of February Shrouded Sky update, it's reasonable to assume that Toxic Swamps might appear in mid-to-late February. But don't be too surprised if ARC Raiders is delayed again.

Additionally, March and April updates will also bring new map events. While their content and whether they are limited-time or permanent features are still unclear, it's certain that ARC Raiders will become richer and more fun!

That's all the information for this update. If you temporarily stopped playing ARC Raiders because of the end of Cold Snap, you can now return!

ARC Raiders January-April 2026 Roadmap Revealed | From Headwinds to Riven Tides

    Posted: Jan 26, 2026Views: 4037

ARC Raiders was released at the end of October 2025 and quickly gained popularity, leading to high expectations for the game's New Year roadmap as 2026 arrived. After nearly a month of waiting, the development team finally released their initial plans!

This roadmap, released on January 23rd, only covers content from January to April, but it's comprehensive enough to ensure an update is released every month!

Previously, based on player feedback over the past few months, we predicted potential new initiatives for ARC Raiders in 2026. While not perfectly aligned with this roadmap, some content is thematically similar.

Next, we'll provide a detailed look at this roadmap and continue speculating on further development plans for ARC Raiders.

ARC Raiders January-April 2026 Roadmap Revealed | From Headwinds to Riven Tides

    January-April 2026 Roadmap overview

While this roadmap only covers four months, production capacity is limited for a new game like ARC Raiders, so revealing subsequent update plans in stages is understandable.

Each month will see an update of similar scale to Cold Snap, and even the end of January has its own dedicated name.

    January - Headwinds

Due to time constraints (only one week left in January), Headwinds update is relatively small, including a new matchmaking option, minor map conditions, and other player projects.

Firstly, the new matchmaking option is specifically for players level 40 and above, but it's unclear whether these players are required to choose this option; we'll have to wait until the update is officially released - most speculated to be January 27th.

This mechanism means experienced players can increase their chances of obtaining rare ARC Raider blueprints by facing more dangerous enemies and environments. New players can also avoid being overwhelmed by experienced players in chaotic battles.

As for the new minor map conditions, it's likely to be Toxic Swamp, that's been widely rumored in the community. Based on various leaks and speculations, this event might feature geysers or volcanic terrain, along with dangers from poison and heat elements.

The specifics of the player project will probably only be revealed when the update officially launches, but we initially speculate it might be a reward event that allows you to unlock free items or new skins, similar to the previous Candleberry event.

    February - Shrouded Sky

The new map conditions brought by this update can only be judged from the teaser image; it appears to be themed around heavy fog. This means visibility will be significantly reduced, making it difficult to spot enemies, but also allowing for more stealthy approach.

Other content that Shrouded Sky will bring includes:

    • New ARC enemy types
    • New player project
    • New map
    • Raider Deck
    • The opening of the second expedition window

We don't yet have many clues about most of these details, but it's certain that the opening of the second expedition window signifies the start of a new round of player-versus-player battles, as everything will be reset to zero again.

Therefore, all you can do is continue stockpiling the necessary materials for expeditions (if you plan to participate) and then take advantage of the new map conditions to acquire new rare weapons or blueprints as quickly as possible.

    March - Flashpoint

Compared to February, March's update is slightly simpler, including:

    • New ARC enemy type
    • New player project
    • New map conditions
    • Scrappy update

Judging from the background image, the map conditions may be related to lightning or strong winds. Considering that Electromagnetic Storm already includes lightning, the new event should be designed to be somewhat different.

Other update content may require further speculation based on bugs or leaks as March approaches, but Scrappy update is certain to be a highlight.

This amusing mechanical rooster will passively spawn various basic items in your base, which is useful for beginners or those whose inventory has been reset after completing an expedition.

We speculate that Scrappy-based updates may include the following possibilities:

    • Increased upgrade cap, generating more or rarer items.
    • It can be carried into battle, providing buffs or picking up loot for you.
    • Enrich base customization with Scrappy as the anchor point.

    April - Riven Tides

The teaser image for this update appears to have a beach theme, as can be seen from the update's name. This is indeed quite surprising and exciting, as the game currently lacks this type of terrain in both its maps and map conditions. More updates include:

    • New Map
    • New Map Conditions
    • New Large-Scale ARC
    • Opening of the Third Expedition Window

Judging from the small icons on the left, the new map conditions may be related to clouds and lightning. Based on the speculation about the new map, you might experience sea storms in ARC Raiders in three months.

    Other update details

In addition to the main content based on each month's update, the developers will also release new quests, items, cosmetics, QoL updates, and other more detailed optimizations and changes over these four months.

    Other 2026 update plan speculations

In fact, based on the schedule from January to April, it can be seen that the update pattern for ARC Raiders is basically fixed: adding new maps (conditions), enemy types, and other miscellaneous items through a fixed theme.

Therefore, in general, updates from May onwards should follow this pattern, accompanied by bug fixes and optimizations to existing content. Considering previous player requests, there's also the possibility of introducing more entirely new PvE/PvP gameplay modes.

Furthermore, the development team should remain committed to combating cheating and promptly fixing any exploitable vulnerabilities to maintain a fair gaming environment and enhance the experience of new content.

That concludes our overview. We hope ARC Raiders continues to bring surprises to the shooting game genre!

Is ARC Raiders in Trouble? Marathon's March 2026 Launch May Cause a Player Exodus

    Posted: Jan 23, 2026Views: 1407

Since its release on October 30, 2025, ARC Raiders has created a new wave in the first-person shooter genre, leaving other classic shooter series struggling to compete with its new installments.

However, the market is never short of new games, and ARC Raiders is not without its flaws. Therefore, the new first-person shooter Marathon, scheduled for release on March 5, 2026, may pose a challenge to ARC Raiders.

Based on this, we will analyze the playability and strengths of both games to determine whether Marathon might cause a loss of ARC Raiders players.

Is ARC Raiders in Trouble? Marathon's March 2026 Launch May Cause a Player Exodus

Basic gameplay of the two games

If you've chosen to read this article, you're probably already familiar with ARC Raiders. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic Earth invaded by alien ARC bots. Your task is to travel from underground to the surface, defeat the bots and other enemies to obtain loot.

Building upon this foundation, ARC Raiders has expanded to include multiple maps and map events, a vast item system, and other content, providing a rich gaming experience with its PvPvE gameplay.

While Marathon hasn't officially launched yet, it released a closed technical alpha test in October 2025. It's also a multiplayer extraction-style PvPvE shooter with an alien setting, but the main battleground is located on an alien planet called Tau Ceti IV.

The gameplay of the two games is quite similar: both involve scavenging for loot in a shared environment and trying to extract before being eliminated by enemy players or PvE enemies. Both also offer solo, duo, and trio team modes.

Buy ARC Raiders BluePrints at IGGM.com cheap and safe

    Does Marathon have any advantages?

Based on the introduction and analysis of the basic gameplay of the two games, they are very similar. The main difference lies in the player's perspective: ARC Raiders is third-person, while Marathon is first-person.

Of course, neither is inherently superior, but as a player, you might have your own preferences, and consuming too much time in the third-person perspective of ARC Raiders might make you want to try a new view.

In fact, ARC Raiders players recently discovered a bug that allowed a brief experience of first-person combat.

Although the developers quickly fixed it, and the experience was quite rough, it still sparked heated discussion within the player community. This clearly demonstrates a strong desire for a completely new perspective.

Whether ARC Raiders plans to release a first-person mode later, it's unlikely to happen before Marathon's release - assuming the latter isn't delayed.

In this sense, at least for a while after Marathon's release, some players focused on extraction shooters will probably shift their attention to Marathon. And if they find Marathon to have greater potential in the short term, they might temporarily abandon ARC Raiders.

Another crucial point is that Marathon isn't a completely new game like ARC Raiders; it has a predecessor, Marathon Infinity, and a complete series, albeit one whose initial release was at the end of the last century.

This very fact means that a group of longtime fans and retro enthusiasts will inevitably pay more attention to 2026 version of Marathon.

Furthermore, ARC Raiders' use of AI for character voice acting caused considerable controversy within the industry and among players, while Marathon has announced a stellar voice actor lineup.

This means that many shooter fans who abandoned ARC Raiders due to AI controversy will probably choose to support Marathon. It's hard to say whether this is a unique kind of competitive strategy employed by Marathon.

ARC Raiders shows no signs of decline

Despite listing many of Marathon's strengths, this doesn't mean ARC Raiders is entirely without merit. While the game does have its shortcomings, its core gameplay remains very enjoyable.

Building on this, ARC Raiders plans to release a new update soon, likely including new maps, map events, and other activities, similar to Cold Snap update that ended on January 13th.

If the update is well-received, ARC Raiders should see a steady stream of new content releases in the first half of 2026. Combined with measures to combat cheaters and other improvements, this should keep players engaged.

More importantly, while the lack of a first-person perspective might seem like a disadvantage for ARC Raiders, Marathon also lacks a third-person view, which can actually enhance interactivity and cooperation.

Both ARC Raiders and Marathon are essentially PvPvE games, and players seem to prioritize PvP elements. However, based on previous testing, it appears that defeating enemies in Marathon doesn't require any teamwork.

Furthermore, ARC Raiders' unique PvE enemy design is one of its charms, and the development team is likely to add more ARC bots in the future. In comparison, Marathon's PvE elements and mechanics appear relatively weak.

    ARC Raiders BluePrints Giveaways

    Summary

Since Marathon hasn't officially launched yet, and ARC Raiders is still under development and improvement, we can't definitively say which is better, especially since most games have their merits.

However, it's certain that if Marathon launches as scheduled in March, it will siphon off a number of players who were originally focused solely on ARC Raiders, as the first-person perspective is undeniably appealing.

Many casual players have long hoped that ARC Raiders would add a dedicated PvE mode, or at least further enhance its PvE elements, but this hasn't happened yet.

If Marathon, based on player feedback after its testing phase, refines and enhances its PvE gameplay, ARC Raiders' sense of crisis will probably intensify.

However, ARC Raiders might also seize this opportunity to respond to players more quickly before Marathon's launch, striving to prevent this potentially powerful competitor from attracting too many players.

In any case, for you as a player, the emergence of more games not only means more choices but also that healthy competition will drive these games to improve, bringing you an ever-evolving gaming experience!
