Animal Crossing: Where and When To Catch New Fish and New Bugs Arriving In September

Posted: Sep 03, 2020

Players of Animal Crossing New Horizons can continue to fill out their Critterpedias in September, as new fish, bugs and sea creatures will travel to islands in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. The number of critters traveling to each hemisphere is roughly equal, so players around the world have a large number of animals to hunt throughout the month.

Northern Hemisphere

In September, the Northern Hemisphere ushered in the return of several cold-weather fish, as well as some new fish. Players who have kept their own sturgeons, mitten crab, char and golden trout can sell them to C.J. The price is tons of bells--that is, as long as they donate one of each to Blathers at the museum.

New Fish

· Char -- River (clifftop), 4 p.m.-9 a.m., medium shadow (sells for 3,800 Bells)

· Cherry Salmon -- River (clifftop), 4 p.m.-9 a.m., medium shadow (sells for 1,000 Bells)

· King Salmon -- River (mouth), all day, largest shadow (sells for 1,800 Bells)

· Mitten Crab -- River, 4 p.m.-9 a.m., small shadow (sells for 2,000 Bells)

New sea Creatures

When players dive in September, they will also encounter some new sea creatures, which will all fetch a decent sum of Bells at Nook's Cranny.

· Chambered Nautilus -- 4 p.m.-9 a.m., medium, medium shadow (sells for 1,800 Bells)

· Oyster -- all day, slow, small shadow (sells for 1,800 Bells)

· Turban Shell -- all day, slow, small shadow (sells for 1,000 Bells)

· Umbrella Octopus -- all day, fast, small shadow (sells for 6,000 Bells)

New bugs

The cool-weather bugs are back this month, and there are some new friends. Although there are not as many as summer, players can still experience the fun of catching bugs.
